Stampin’ Up! Pretty in Pink Bold Bouquet Mother’s Day Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and that means it is time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I’m looking forward to seeing the projects that my team members have created for the Hop this week…I know their projects will be beautiful as always! If you are hopping over from Terry Lynn’s blog…welcome and thanks for stopping by!

My card today was created using the Bold Bouquet Bundle and the Delightfully Eclectic 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. I also used two different stamp sets for the sentiments – The Best Family Ever Stamp Set and the Share a Milkshake Stamp Set.

We have a sketch challenge for today’s hop. Here is the sketch.

I used my new two favorite pinks for this Mother’s Day card – Berry Burst and Bubble Bath. A panel in Basic White measuring 4-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ was embossed using the cross-hatch embossing folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders set. This panel was then adhered to the card front and centered from top to bottom and left to right. A smaller panel using the Bubble Bath and White striped paper from the Delightfully Electic Designer Series Paper was adhered to a mat in Berry Burst. I wrapped a length of Bubble Bath Sheer Ribbon around the left side of this panel and then the panel was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The panel was offset to the right of the card front to follow our sketch challenge.

I stamped the large flower image from the Bold Bouquet Stamp Set several times onto Basic White cardstock. I first inked up the flower stamp in Bubble Bath ink and then used a sponge dauber to dab Berry Burst ink around the perimeter of the flower stamp. I used a separate sponge dauber to lightly blend in some Crushed Curry ink on each of the flowers just to give a different pop of color. A Berry Burst Stampin’ Blend was used to dot in the flower stamens. I also stamped four leaf sprigs in Lost Lagoon ink onto white cardstock and I used the coordinating dies from the Bold Bouquet Dies set to cut out these images. The images were arranged onto the center left of the card front and adhered down with liquid glue.

The “Mom” sentiment was stamped onto a piece of white cardstock in Berry Burst ink and I used the second to smallest circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut out the sentiment. The sentiment was adhered to the center of the flower arrangement using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a Bubble Bath Sheer Ribbon bow to the lower left of the arranged flowers. A Berry Burst Stampin’ Blend was used to color in multiple Rhinestone Basic Jeweles and these were added around the card front.

For the inside panel I stamped the sentiment “Life is Sweeter with You” in Berry Burst ink. This sentiment came from the Share a Milkshake Stamp Set. I also stamped the large flower image from the Bold Bouquet Stamp Set onto the lower left of the panel – inking the stamp in Bubble Bath and then using a sponge dauber to add some Berry Burst and Crushed Curry ink around the perimeter. I also stamped the smallest leaf sprig in Lost Lagoon aound the flower. The panel was adhered to a Bubble Bath mat and then adhered to the inside of the card.

For the envelope I repeated stamping of the large flower image and leaf sprigs onto the envelope front. A piece of coordinating designer series paper was added to the envelope flap, and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap to finish up the envelope.

Stampin’ Up! Marigold Moments Mother’s Day Card

The Marigold Moments Stamp Set and Marigold Moments Dies were used to create today’s card along with Vellum Basics 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper. All of the products used on my card today are retiring with the exception of the Vellum Basics Specialty Designer Series Paper. Be sure to check out the link further down this post for the Last Chance Products sale where you can grab up these items!

I started off by stamp the large Marigold cluster onto a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock. The fill image of the Marigolds was stamped using Pale Papaya ink and the detail fill was stamped using Mango Melody ink. I used the coordinating die from the Marigold Moments Dies set to cut out the image. Using the leaf and stem die from the same set, I cut three sets of leaves from Evening Evergreen cardstock.

The Marigold image and leaves were arranged on a dotted piece of Vellum Basics Specialty Designer Series Paper measuring 5″ x 3-3/4″. The flowers and leaves were placed on the upper two-thirds of the vellum panel. Once I was satisfied with the placement, I first glued down the flower cluster, then glued the stems with leaves, making sure to tuck the stems under the flowers.

The “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink onto a Soft Succulent sentiment label. The label was adhered to a mat in Evening Evergreen. Who else is going to miss the pretty combination of Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent? I know I will…these colors are so pretty together! The sentiment label was adhered onto the lower third of the vellum panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Turning the vellum panel over to the back side, I placed glue only on the areas covered by the flowers, leaves and sentiment label to prevent the glue from showing through the vellum. The vellum panel was adhered to the front of a Soft Succulent card base and I was careful to center the panel from top to bottom and left to right.

On the inside panel, I stamped a single marigold blossom and stem – using Pale Papaya and Mango Melody for the flower and Evening Evergreen for the stem and leaves. The panel was adhered to an Evening Evergreen mat then this unit was adhered to the inside of the card. The same single flower and stem was also stamped onto the envelope front.

To finish up the card, I cut two lengths of Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon and tied a bow. The bow was adhered to the lower left of the flower cluster on the card front using a Mini Glue Dot. Multiple white Opaque Adhesive-Backed Gems were adhered to the card front.

Roses for Mom / Recognizing Everyday Heroes / New Card Kit – A Million Thanks

Roses for Mom

To all of the moms, grandmothers, stepmoms, stand-in moms and moms-to-be, I’d like to wish you the happiest Mother’s Day! Where would we be without Mom’s in our lives to care for us, heal our hurts, and just make the world a better place to live? Cheers to all of the wonderful moms!

What mom wouldn’t appreciate roses on Mother’s Day? Today’s project features the Hues of Happiness Suite of products to make this lovely Mother’s Day card.

This book fold card starts off with a Fresh Freesia card base. I used the “B” side of one of the Hues of Happiness designer series papers and Mother of Pearl specialty paper. A die cut trellis and die cut roses in shades of Fresh Freesia, Night of Navy and Gorgeous Grape, along with a Fresh Freesia ribbon adorn the card front. The inside of the card and the envelope front also feature the large rose image. If you haven’t yet ordered the Hues of Happiness Suite Collection you’ll want these products in your crafting stash…gorgeous!

recognizing everyday heroes

Everyday Heroes invites you to celebrate, honor, and appreciate the special actions people make to show you they care.

The Everyday Heroes campaign focuses on the people who make small differences that touch our lives. These are the people who hold open a door, pay it forward in a fast-food line, or simply smile and say hello. We honor and celebrate the everyday heroes who go out of their way to show how much they care about others. This campaign is a way to appreciate the little acts of kindness that make a world of difference. Join Stampin’ Up! in celebrating, honoring, and recognizing the work of everyday heroes in your life.

Stampin’ Up! has lots of ways to help you show the people in your life how much they mean to you. Whether you are celebrating a special occasion, marking an anniversary, or just letting someone know that you appreciate all they do, we have stamps, dies, and embellishments to help. There’s something for every level of crafter to show the most important people in your life just how special they are. Happiness Abounds Mother’s Day Card / Last Chance & Retiring Products Sale on Now…Last Week!

Happiness Abounds Mother’s Day Card

The beautiful roses on this card, as well as the background DSP come from the Hues of Happiness 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. The dies from the Happiness Abounds Bundle include dies that will cut out the rose and leaf images on the DSP! How cool is that?

I chose Starry Sky, Coastal Cabana, Pool Party and white as the colors for today’s card. The “B” side of the DSP from the Hues of Happiness papers are equally beautiful, and I used one of the “B” sides of the paper on my card front. I also used the largest dies from the Blossoming Happiness Dies to cut out a floral pattern on the white panel on the card front, allowing the DSP to show through. It’s subtle, but I think it adds a lot to the look of this card.

The Hues of Happiness Suite Collection (Happiness Abounds stamp set, Blossoming Happiness dies, Hues of Happiness DSP and the Glossy Dots Assortment) are available for customer orders beginning on May 3, 2020! That’s only a week away…yay!

Daffodil Daydream Mother’s Day Card

Happy Friday! Are your daffodils up yet? My daffodils stems are up but no blooms yet…it shouldn’t be long now. Daffodils in bloom mean spring is finally here and I can’t wait for warmer days ahead! On to today’s project.

This Mother’s Day card is made with the Daffodil Daydream stamp set. The daffodil image was stamped in VersaMark ink and gold embossing powder was applied then heat set. I used a blender pen and ink to color in the daffodil blooms and stems and the image was cut out using the largest rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly die set. The card was set against a Mossy Meadow card base with a strip of the Daffodil Afternoon designer series paper sitting behind the die cut panel. A double linen bow, sentiment and Bumblebee Trinket complete the card.

If you’d like to recreate this card you can access the downloadable project sheet by clicking here. A link is included at the bottom of the project sheet to my online store if you’d like to purchase the items used to create this card, or you can click on the “Stamp with me” button at the top right of this page.
