Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo Adventure Birthday Card

A skunk bird watching, a lion toasting a marshmallow and a pig hiking…Oh My! I used the fun Zany Zoo Bundle and Zoo Crew 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper to create today’s card. The Zany Zoo bundle and Zoo Crew paper is packed full of fun critters and makes great cards for children…and the young at heart!

The reverse side of the Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper is all black and white prints which are perfect for coloring. And that’s exactly what I did! I colored a small flower print black and white panel using Lemon Lime Twist, Bubble Bath and Lemon Lolly. The panel was adhered to a black mat then this unit was added to the front of a Lemon Lime Twist card base.

I used a 2-3/8″ circle punch to punch out two white circles and I used the 2nd to largest die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set to cut out two black circles. I also used the dies from the Zany Zoom Dies set to cut out four pine trees from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, and I cut out the skunk from the designer series paper. The pine trees were adhered to one of the white circles using glue and the skunk was added to this circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The circle was then adhered to one of the black circles.

On the second white circle, I used the confetti stamp and stamped this image around the edge of the circle in Pool Party ink. The sentiment was stamped in the center of the circle using Lemon Lime Twist ink. The circle was then adhered to the second black circle. The sentiment label was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and placed onto the upper left of the card front. The circle with the skunk was adhered to the lower right of the card front. I tied a double bow using Lemon Lime Twist ribbon from the Ribbon Due Combo Pack and adhered the bow to the top of the sentiment label using a Mini Glue Dot.

For the inside panel, I added a 1″ strip of the colored designer series paper, then adhered the panel to a Basic Black mat. This unit was then adhered to the inside of the card.

A coordinating piece of designer series paper was colored and adhered to the envelope flap. I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap to finish off the envelope. Lastly, a few Glossy Dots were added to the card front.

Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies Friendship Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and that means it is time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I’m looking forward to seeing the projects that my team members have created for the Hop this week! If you are hopping over from Terry Lynn’s blog…welcome!

I used the beautiful Cheerful Daisies Bundle and the Fresh as a Daisy 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper! I can’t seem to stay away from this Suite of products! I also used some returning and new colors that will be released on May 2 with the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.

We have a sketch challenge for the Hop today…

I started off with a standard card base in Pretty Peacock cardstock and added a Whild Wheat cardstock mat to the card front. On top of the Wild Wheat mat, I added a strip of Lemon Lolly cardstock that I embossed with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. Two panels were cut from the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper measuring 4-1/4″ x 3″ – one panel with a daisy print and one with a Pretty Peacock leaf print. The Pretty Peacock designer series paper panel was adhered over the Lemon Lolly embossed strip and centered from top to bottom and left to right. The second daisy print designer series paper panel was adhered on top at an angle.

I stamped several of the daisy images in Lemon Lolly ink onto Lemon Lolly cardstock. The flower centers were stamped onto Lemon Lolly cardstock using Crushed Curry ink. The coordinating dies were used to cut out the images. I also cut three leaf sprigs from the Pretty Peacock print designer series paper.

Using a blender pen I brushed Crushed Curry ink over the flower petals in spots to enhance the petals and give them a little depth. A Copper Clay Stampin’ Blend was used to darken the bottoms of the flower centers and I used the light shade of a Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blend to blend out the Copper Clay color. The daisies were adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The leaf sprigs along with a piece of Copper Clay Textured Ribbon were tucked in around the daisies.

On the inside panel a daisy was stamped in Lemon Lolly ink and the daisy center was stamped in Crushed Curry ink. The panel was adhered to a Wild Wheat mat and then this unit was adhered to the inside of the card.

The half daisy was stamped onto the envelope front and a piece of coordinating designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap to finish off the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog…I hope you enjoyed my card for the Hop today! You can download, save and print a copy of the pdf tutorial for this card by clicking on the image below.

Stampin’ Up! Dainty Delight Celebrate You Card

Today’s card is a CASE from the upcoming 2023-2024 Annual Catalog! How soft and pretty is this card? I used the Dainty Delight Bundle, Stylish Shapes Dies, Vellum Basics 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper, and the Bright & Beautiful 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. I also used several of the new colors and one returning color.

I adhered a piece of Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper to a card base in Berry Burst. The paper I chose is an ombre print in a shade of Berry Burst. I then stamped the large floral image onto white cardstock using Old Olive ink. To keep the look soft, I second generation stamped the image. I used the light shades of Bubble Bath and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends to color the image then used the coordinating die from the Dainty Delight Dies to cut out the image.

Using the Dainty Delight Dies I cut a variety of flowers and stems. I used the largest square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut a square from the Vellum Basics Specialty Designer Series Paper. The vellum square was adhered to the lower third of the card front using small drops of glue towards the center of the square. The flowers and stems were arranged onto the vellum square and adhered down. One of the daisies was adhered using a Stampin’ Dimensional.

The “Celebrate you” sentiment was stamped onto a piece of Old Olive cardstock and I used one of the sentiment label dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut out the image. The sentiment label was adhered towards the bottom of the card front at an angle with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A small white Baker’s Twine bow was added next to the sentiment label.

On the inside panel, I second generation stamped the same large floral image onto the lower portion of the panel and colored in the image. The same image was partially stamped onto the envelope front as well. The inside panel was adhered to the inside of the card.

A piece of coordinating designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap. Multiple Loose Frosted Dots in pink and yellow were added to the card front.

You can download, save and print the pdf tutorial for this card by clicking on the image below. Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Petal Park Best Wishes Card

I used the Petal Park Stamp Set, the Sentimental Park Stamp Set and the Sentimental Park Dies along with the new Neutrals 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper to create today’s card. The Petal Park Stamp Set and punch and the Sentimental Park Stamp Set and Dies set will be carrying over into the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog…good news! But, you can still receive the bundled savings of 10% up until May 1 on each of these sets! The Neutrals 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper will be available on May 2 from the new catalog!

I chose a bold diagonal Blackberry Bliss stripe pattern from the Neutrals 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper pack for my card front. I used the Countryside Corners Dies to die cut a white panel and stamped the large multi-leaf image onto the panel in Granny Apple Green ink. I used Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends to color in the leaves. The dark shade of a Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blend was used to splatter ink onto the panel. I then wrapped Linen Thread around the panel several times.

I used the small solid and open flower dies from the Sentimental Park Dies set to cut multiple flowers in both Bubble Bath and Blackberry Bliss. For my focal flowers, I stacked a Blackberry Bliss outline flower onto three of the Bubble Bath solid image flowers. These flowers were adhered to the octagon panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The remaining “outline” flowers were adhered around the panel using liquid glue. The octagon panel was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the smallest die from the Countryside Corners Dies set to cut out a sentiment label and stamped the “Best Wishes” sentiment from the Sentimental Park Stamp Set in Blackberry Bliss ink. The sentiment label was adhered to the card front and I added a double Linen Thread bow over the wrapped thread.

On the inside panel I partially stamped the multi-leaf image onto the top and bottom of the panel, colored in the images using Stampin’ Blends then used a Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blend to ink splatter the panel. The panel was adhered to a Blackberry Bliss mat then this unit was adhered to the inside of the card.

The same partial leaf image was stamped onto the envelope flap and colored in. I also added ink splatter to the envelope front. A piece of coordinating designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap to finish off the envelope.

Lastly, multiple pink Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins were added to the card front.

You can download, save and print a pdf tutorial for today’s card by clicking on the image below.

Wishing you a wonderful day!

My Craft Room Helpers!

Maezie and Mackenzie visited the Dog Spa this past weekend to get beautiful! When they got home, Mackenzie was ready to help Mom in her craft room…

Maezie…not so much! Visiting the Dog Spa is exhausting work, and she slept the entire day! You’ll be happy to know that she did rally in time for dinner…LOL!

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Balloons Double Easel Congrats Card

I used the Beautiful Balloons Bundle and the Bright & Beautiful 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper to create this fun congratulations card and it’s a double easel card which is super easy to put together! Any grad would love to receive this card!

This double easel card is composed of a card base measuring 11″ x 4-1/4″ and is scored at 5-1/2″ and the double easel portion of the card which measures 10-1/4″ x 4″ and scored at 2-1/2″ and 5″. I first cut and scored the double easel portion of the card. The 2-1/2″ score line is a mountain fold and the 5″ score line is a valley fold. Two pieces of star-patterned paper from the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper pack were adhered to the front of the easel portion of the card. The easel section was then adhered to the card base front.

On a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped one large and two small balloons in Berry Burst, Blueberry Bushel and Lemon Lime Twist, along with the sentiment “You did it!”. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the balloons and the sentiment label die to cut out the sentiment. I also cut out a streamer for each balloon and several small and large stars. I used a solid piece of designer series paper as a mat for the sentiment label.

I used a short length of Lemon Lime Twist Ribbon and looped the ribbon through the hole in the sentiment label/tag. The sentiment label was then adhered to its mat and then adhered to the “front” easel portion of the card at an angle. Two large stars – one in Berry Burst and one in Blueberry Bushel were adhered to either side of the sentiment label.

The three balloons were assembled with streamers and strings then arranged on the back part of the easel portion of the card. The smaller die cut stars were adhered around the balloons.

I stamped two balloons on the inside panel along with an additional greeting. The inside panel was adhered to a mat in Lemon Lime Trist, then this unit was adhered to the inside of the card.

A single balloon was stamped onto the envelope front and a piece of coordinating designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I trimmed to the excess paper away from the flap to finish off the envelope. Lastly, multiple Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added to the card front.

This completes the card! How cheerful are these fun balloons?!

Stampin’ Up! Countryside Inn Thank You Card

I used the Countryside Inn 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder and the Timeless Arrangements Bundle to create today’s card. These products will be available on May 2 with the release of the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog!

The piece of Countryside Designer Series Paper that I used on the card front is the only piece of paper in the pack that lines up with the Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder. It’s difficult to tell that this panel is embossed from the photo…hopefully you can see all of the texture!

I adhered the embossed panel to a mat in Night of Navy then wrapped Boho Blue Textured Ribbon around the panel and adhered the panel to the card front.

I sentiment label and one of the leafy images were die cut using the Timeless Arrangements Dies set. I used two sentiments from the Timeless Arrangements Stamp Set to stamp the sentiment onto the die cut sentiment label. I then adhered the leafy image to the back of the sentiment label and adhered the unit to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A white Baker’s Twine bow was added to the upper left of the sentiment label using a Mini Glue Dot.

I stamped the simple flower image from the Timeless Arrangements Stamp Set using Night of Navy ink and used Boho Blue Stampin’ Dimensionals to color in the stamped images. The same flowers were stamped onto the envelolpe front and colored in as well. The inside panel was adhered to a Midnight Navy mat then adhered to the inside of the card.

A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I trimmed away the excess paper away from the flap to finish off the envelope. This completes my card for today!

You can download, save and print the pdf tutorial for this card by clicking on the image below.

Stampin’ Up! Beauty of the Deep All Occasion Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and that means it is time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I’m looking forward to seeing the projects that my team members have created for the Hop this week! If you are hopping over from Terry Lynn’s blog…welcome!

I was inspired to create this card after my husband and I spent this past weekend in the lovely seaside town of Cape May, New Jersey. I created this card using the Beauty of the Deep Bundle and some of our new and returning ink colors. These products will be available on May 2…just a few short weeks away!

We have a theme challenge for today’s Hop…Outdoors.

I started with a panel in Basic White and stamped the coral image two times from the Beauty of the Deep Stamp Set in Petal Pink ink. The seaweed image was stamped in Pretty Peacock ink along the left side of the panel several times. The “sand” image was stamped along the bottom of the panel in Pecan Pie ink and lastly, I stamped the sea anemone image multiple times – also across the bottom of the panel. The sea anemones were stamped in Berry Burst ink and first and second generation stamped to provide some dimension.

Once all of the stamping was completed, I used a blending brush to blend Lost Lagoon ink across the entire panel. When blending ink onto the panel I left some areas lighter and darker than others to suggest light and shadow in the water.

Using Tuxedo Black Memento ink I stamped three of the angel fish onto Basic White cardstock along with the sentiment “hello” from the Tropical Leaf Stamp Set. I used a Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blend to color in the white areas of the stamped fish then used the coordinating die from the Beauty of the Deep Dies set to cut out the images. I also die cut one sea bush from Lost Lagoon cardstock. The sea bush…I’m not sure what else to call it…was adhered to the card front on the left. The fish were adhered just above the bush using Mini Glue Dots.

I adhered a short length of Pool Party Grosgrain Ribbon to the upper right of the ink blended panel using a few Mini Glue Dots. The sentiment label was cut out using the 2nd to smallest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies set, then the label was adhered over the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside panel, the coral image was stamped in Petal Pink ink and several sea anemones were stamped in Berry Burst ink. I again lightly blended Lost Lagoon ink across the stamped images and the bottom of the panel. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same coral and sea anemone images were stamped onto the envelope front and Lost Lagoon ink blended over the images. On the envelope flap I stamped the large lacy image using Pretty Peacock ink. Several Flat Adhesive-Backed Pearls were adhered to the lower edge of the card front to complete the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog…I hope you enjoyed my card for the Hop today! You can download, save and print a copy of the pdf tutorial for this card by clicking on the image below.

Back to the Hop…if you’re joining the hop from my blog, be sure to use the navigation links below to see more creativity and inspiration! This is the All the Little Things kit and included some great foil accents on each card (it’s hard to see this in the photos). I will be sending six of the nine cards to a local hospital. The cards with the sentiment “Enjoy Your Day” also include an inside sentiment of “Happy Mother’s Day” and will be given to ladies at the hospital for Mother’s Day!

The kit included everything I needed to assemble all 9 cards – 3 cards each of 3 different designs! The kit included instructions for assembling the cards, an ink spot, stamps, embellishments, adhesives, card elements, sentiment labels, card bases and envelopes!

Weekend Get-Away!

My husband and I had a chance to get away over the weekend and we headed for our favorite seaside town, Cape May, New Jersey. If you’re not familiar with Cape May, it’s an old Victorian town surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Delaware Bay on the other side. It is one of the top 10 birdwatching destinations in the world and is home to a Coast Guard training center!

As we were finishing up dinner on Saturday night, we noticed that storm clouds were rolling in. We jumped in the car and headed to Sunset Beach for a good view of the ocean and the approaching storm.

Mother Nature is breathtaking…

While the photo below isn’t from this past weekend, I thought I would include it anyway. This is a view down the Washington Street Mall in Cape May. The Washington Street Mall is a three-block open air mall with quaint Victorian store fronts lining both sides of the street.

We’re already looking forward to our next trip to this little piece of paradise!

Stampin’ Up! Little Monkey – Bananas About You Card

This adorable monkey is delivering a very special message! This card was created using the Little Monkey Bundle (Stamp Set and Monkey Builder Punch) along with some cheerful paper from the Bright & Beautiful 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Pack. These items are orderable by customers beginning May 2!

I adhered a Lemon Lime Twist solid paper from the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper pack and stamped several tree branches and vines onto the left side of the panel. I used Stampin’ Blends in Copper Clay and Old Olive to color in the tree branches and leaves. A second Designer Series Paper panel was added to the right side of the first panel – this one in a Lemon Lolly and white striped print. The panels were then adhered to a Copper Clay mat and adhered to a card base in Lemon Lime Twist.

The monkey, banana and three banana leaves were stamped onto scraps of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends. I used the Little Monkey Builder punch to punch out the monkey and banana. The three banana leaves were fussy cut using paper snips. I adhered the banana to one of the monkey’s hands and the monkey was placed among the stamped tree branches on the card front.

The sentiment “I’m bananas about you” was stamped onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Old Olive ink and I die cut the sentiment label using the 2nd to smallest square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set. The fussy cut banana leaves were adhered behind the top of the sentiment label and the sentiment label was adhered to the lower right of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A single Linen Thread bow was adhered just above the sentiment label.

On the inside panel the hanging monkey was stamped onto the top of the panel. The image was colored in using Stampin’ Blends. I also stamped several vines around the monkey using Old Olive ink. The panel was adhered to a Copper Clay mat and this unit was adhered to the inside of the card.

Another monkey and banana were stamped onto the envelope front and colored. A piece of coordinating designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and the excess paper was trimmed away from the flap. Several Copper Clay Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems were adhered to the card front to finish off the card.
