Stampin’ Up! Perfect Pomegranate Birthday Card

It’s Friday and I have a Friday Fun Day project for you – an easy Z Fold card featuring the Perfect Pomegranate Stamp Set and the Wonderful World 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper!

The Perfect Pomegranate Stamp Set is an exclusive host stamp set that you can earn during Sale-A-Bration by hosting a party of $300+ (either party sales or personal sales). The Wonderful World Designer Series Paper is bundled with the Wonderful World Stamp Set and is also a Sale-A-Bration item which you can earn for free with a qualifying order. Only the Wonderful World Designer Series Paper was used from the bundle.

This fun Z Fold sits on a Cherry Cobbler card base and the right and left panels of the card front are adorned with the Wonderful World paper after adhering the paper to Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler mats. The center panel was stamped with images from the Perfect Pomegranate Stamp Set in Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler inks, then matted and adhered to the left front of the card.

The sentiment was stamped onto a thin piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and matted with a coordinating piece of the DSP, then adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the center panel at an angle. I used Gold and Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon to tie a small bow and adhered the bow to the left side of the sentiment label. Several gold Festive Pearls were also added to the center panel.

For the inside of the card I second-generation stamped the same images onto a Very Vanilla panel, then stamped an additional sentiment over the stamped images.

A coordinating piece of DSP was adhered to the envelope flap and fussy cut around the flap. Leaves were stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on the envelope front.

The images from the Perfect Pomegranate Stamp Set combined with the pretty Wonderful World Designer Series Paper make for a pretty birthday card but this design would also be suitable for an anniversary, get well or sympathy card also.

Stampin’ Up! July Paper Pumpkin Kit – Sending Good Thoughts

I anxiously await delivery of my Paper Pumpkin Kit each month and I was especially looking forward to receiving the July kit. Waiting for your Paper Pumpkin kit is like waiting for Christmas morning. You know you’re going to get a really great gift, but you don’t know what’s inside! That’s what it’s like when Paper Pumpkin arrives!

My kit arrived…but, it had not been handled very nicely during shipping! I was so disappointed. The only thing salvageable in the kit were the stamps. All of the paper elements, cards and envelopes were badly creased, and the ink spot had been crushed and ink was everywhere! I phoned Stampin’ Up! Support and the representative said they would send me a new kit right away. They even shipped the kit Priority Mail, and I received the replacement kit within a few days. If you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin and your kit arrives damaged, you can rest easy in knowing that Stampin’ Up! will make things right!

I finally got to sit down and assemble the cards in the kit. I’m just in love with the sea images on these cards…they are so pretty! Once I had the cards assembled, I took a few minutes to write a personal message in each card and sealed the cards in their envelopes. The nine completed cards are on their way to a local hospital for chronically ill patients along with some other cards that I made. The messages on the cards are so uplifting and I hope it brings a smile to the recipient’s faces.

Stampin’ Up! Spruced Up Christmas Card with Silver Accents

The Spruced Up Stamp Set and the Spruced Up Outlines Dies from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog is a must have for making quick and easy holiday cards! The items are sold as a Bundle, too, so you save 10% when you order them together.

The dies in the Spruced Up Outlines Dies do exactly what they say. The dies cut out an outline and an insert! For my card today, I ran the ornament dies and the gift die through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine twice – once in Parakeet Party cardstock and once in Garden Green cardstock. I used the Garden Green “outlines” and the Parakeet Party inserts on my card today. But, you can use the die cut pieces separately if you choose for a completely different look! I also stamped on the inserts using the snowflake stamp from the Spruced Up Stamp Set in the same color – Parakeet Party – for a tone-on-tone look.

My card sits on a Parakeet Party card base with a panel of the Silver & Gold 6″ x 6″ Specialty Paper which is a Sale-A-Bration item. The specialty paper was matted onto a piece of Garden Green cardstock and the entire panel was popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also popped up the sentiment label and the gift box for added dimension. A Garden Green bow was added to the smaller ornament followed by silver Festive Pearls to finish off the card.

If you’re looking for a brighter pop of color when using these dies, how about die cutting the ornaments and the gift from some pretty Christmas DSP? I think it would make for a stunning card!

Stampin’ Up! Hippest Hippos and Celebrate With Tags Birthday Card

He’s back…our cute Hippest Hippo is back! This time on a Birthday card!

I needed to make a birthday card for a very special person in my life and I went to the Hippest Hippos and Hippo Dies and the Celebrate With Tags Bundle. The Hippest Hippos bundle is amazing all on its own but combining the Hippo images with the Celebrate With Tags bundle made it so much more amazing. Can I say that I’m having way too much FUN!

The recipient of this card loves blue so the color pallet consists of Pacific Point, Tahitian Tide, Coastal Cabana, Balmy Blue and Pool Party. The card sits on a Pacific Point card base and I used paper from the 2022-2024 In Color 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper to die cut the tag that adorns the front of the card as well as the stripe running horizontally across the card. Cardstock scraps were used to stamp and die cut the remainder of the images on the card.

This card came together quickly! What do you think? Cute or what? Just a reminder that the Hippest Hippos Stamp Set and the coordinating Hippo Dies are only available during Sale-A-Bration with a qualifying order. But don’t delay! Stampin’ Up! Sweet Gingerbread Bundle Christmas Card

Today’s card uses the Sweet Gingerbread Bundle (Stamps and Dies). This bundle is so much fun to play with!

I started with a card base in Early Espresso. I added a Pool Party panel to the front of the card then stamped and die cut all of the components to create the gingerbread house and scenery.

I used the curvy die from the bundle to create a snowbank from white cardstock. The snowbank was adhered on top of the Pool Party panel. I adhered the gingerbread house to the card front and paper pieced the windows and door.

Next, sections of the fence were adhered to the card front. The pine trees, wreath, gumdrops and lollipops were all adhered to the card front using Mini Glue Dots. The stone pathway was adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of white cardstock and I cut a banner on the right side of the sentiment label then adhered the sentiment label to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I tied a small bow using the black and white Gingham Ribbon and adhered this to the top of the sentiment label at an angle. Adhesive-backed Seasonal Sequins were added to finish the card front.

A sentiment was added to a white card panel and I stamped two of the pine trees on the lower portion of this panel. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card. The same pine trees also adorn the envelope.

Stampin’ Up! Santa Express

Happy Friday! I hope everyone has had a good week and you have lots of fun planned for the weekend! We will be celebrating our youngest son’s birthday this weekend!

I’ve been working on Christmas cards this week from the Santa Express Memories & More Card Pack which coordinate with the Santa Express Memories & More Cards and Envelopes. So fun! The card pack and cards and envelopes provide enough supplies to complete a total of 20 cards. You will need to add ribbon, embellishments, and inside panels if you so desire, but these cards can stand on their own, too! I did add cardstock panels on the insides of my cards.

I will be sending my 20 cards to a local area hospital for the chronically ill. A group of us in my area provide cards to this facility each month as the residents at this hospital don’t have family to visit them. They really look forward to receiving cards and it lets them know that someone cares!

Stampin’ Up! Ringed With Love Thinking of You Card

The mid-Atlantic, where I’m located is gripped in a heat wave. Is anyone else besides me thinking of cool, crisp Fall days? Today’s card is in honor of Fall and cooler days ahead!

The Ringed With Nature Bundle is amazing and makes great cards for any occasion, including cards for guys!  The bundle includes the Ringed With Nature Stamp Set and the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder.  What’s really cool about the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder is that it coordinates with the Rings of Love 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper.  If you purchase the Ringed With Nature Bundle, you can get the Rings of Love DSP for FREE during Sale-A-Bration.  The hybrid embossing folder lets you emboss and die cut the tree rings all at the same time.  And, dies are included that will cut out some of the tree rings on the DSP!  It’s a win-win!  And…check out the adorable acorns!  They are so cute!

I chose a piece of paper from the Rings of Love DSP that had a Crushed Curry background and paired this with a Crushed Curry mat and Night of Navy card base. Love the Crushed Curry and Night of Navy together! One of the house images from the same DSP was die cut into a circle and matted onto a piece of Soft Suede cardstock. I created a sentiment label using an embossed tree ring and a die cut (un-embossed) tree ring.

Several tree limbs and leaves were die cut, along with three acorns. The tree limbs and leaves were tucked under the house and sentiment label then I added the acorns around the card front. A double bow was tied with linen thread and adhered to the sentiment label.

For the card’s inside panel and the envelope front, I created a mask of the tree ring image from the stamp set, then stamped the tree ring on the panel and envelope. I used the mask to cover these stamped images in order to stamp the tree limbs and leaves around the tree ring.

This card was quick to assemble once all of the die cutting was complete.  I hope you give it a try but remember to purchase the bundle before August 31 so you can earn the free Rings of Love Designer Series Paper from the Sale-A-Bration catalog!  Don’t delay too long though as Sale-A-Bration products are only while supplies last and this paper is very popular!

Pretty Medallion Birthday Card – World Watercolor Month

I’ve been wanting to try the Pretty Medallion stamp in watercolor and since it is World Watercolor Month…here it is.

I started with a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and placed this in my Stamparatus. Using VersaMark ink, I inked up this single, large stamp several times in order to get as good of an impression on the watercolor paper as I could. I then used white embossing powder and heat set.

My color palette for this card consists of Polished Pink, Granny Apple Green and Evening Evergreen inks. I like to dab my ink pads on a large stamp block and add water to the ink as needed. I started by laying down a pale wash of each color and allowed the watercolor paper to dry completely. I then started darkening each section of the stamp where I wanted more of a color impact. You can see on the Granny Apple Green flowers that I concentrated the darkest shade of this ink towards the bottom of the flowers.

I came back in with a very pale wash of Polished Pink and filled in around all of the embossed segments of the stamped image. I stamped the sentiment in Granny Apple Green ink then used the Deckled Rectangle Dies to die cut the sentiment label. A blending brush was used to add a soft pink to the label.

The Deckled Rectangle Dies were also used to cut out the watercolor panel and this was matted to a piece of Evening Evergreen, then this unit was adhered to the card front. A length of Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon was attached to the lower portion of the card using Stampin’ Seal then the sentiment label was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals A few Polished Dots were also added to the card front.

An additional sentiment was stamped on the inside panel in Granny Apple Green ink and Polished Pink was lightly blended on this panel in the corners. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card. I also blended Polished Pink on the envelope front and envelope flap.

I had a lot of fun water coloring this stamped image and the embossing made the process easy to stay within the lines! I love pink and green together and I was very pleased with how this card turned out.

The Pretty Medallion stamp could also be used to stamp in Memento ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends…I’ll be trying this out soon. The color combinations that you can use on this stamped image are endless. You can find the Pretty Medallion Stamp on page 116 of the Annual Catalog. I highly recommend that you check it out…so pretty!

Stampin’ Up! Window Wishes and Trimming The Tree Christmas Card

I know, I know, it’s probably too early to be thinking about Christmas Cards…especially when most of the country is gripped in a heat wave…but I want to start sharing the amazing holiday stamp sets, bundles, and paper with you to give you some ideas so you can get started on your holiday cards!

For today’s card I used the Window Wishes Bundle, the Trimming The Tree Stamp Set, and the Spruced Up Stamp Set.

Instead of creating a window looking outside, I decided to have my window looking inside onto a Christmas tree surrounded by glowing light! The card sits on a Pear Pizzazz card base with a panel of Starry Sky. The Starry Sky panel was stamped with a snowflake from the Spruced Up stamp set in white craft ink. Using die from the Window Wishes Bundle, the window was assembled and is adorned with an evergreen swag and red bow.

I used the Label Me Lovely punch to punch out the sentiment label and matted this on a second label punched in a darker green. I added Adhesive-backed Stars to the card front then used Wink of Stella to add some sparkle to the Christmas tree and the tips of the stamped snowflakes.

I love the holidays and had a lot of fun creating this card! I hope you give it a try. What kind of scene will you create in your window?

Stampin’ Up Scary Cute Halloween Card

This little princess is trick-or-treating by the light of the full moon…BOO!

The Scary Cute Bundle (stamps and dies) is not really that scary and absolutely adorable. I paired this bundle with the Black & White Design 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper which is perfect for Halloween cards. The card sits on a gorgeous grape card base.

Our little princess was stamped on a die cut Daffodil Delight circle using the Stamparatus to ensure a good, solid stamped image. I also added several die cut bats from the Scary Cute Bundle, and a tree branch from the Harvest Dies set.

The DSP star pattern paper was added to the card front, then a strip of the same pattern in reverse and the circle (moon) was added to the card front. I added a sentiment label matted in Gorgeous Grape and adhered the label slightly overlapping the yellow circle. A black and white gingham ribbon complete the card front.

For the inside of the card, an additional sentiment was added along with some stamped bats to complete the card.
