Stampin’ Up! Naturally Gilded Double Time Get Well Card

Happy Friday! This fun Double Time get well card was created using the beautiful Naturally Gilded 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper, a little ink blending, and dies from the Deckled Rectangles Dies and Stylish Shapes Dies.

I started off with a 5-1/4″ x 4″ panel of the silver Naturally Gilded 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper. I used a blending brush to blend So Saffron ink towards the bottom center of the panel, then ink blended Starry Sky ink above the yellow area.

On the ink blended panel, I used the 3rd smallest Deckled Rectangle to die cut from the center of the panel. This die cut rectangle was matted to a mat in Starry Sky ink. The mat was cut using the 4th to smallest Deckled Rectangle.

The large ink blended panel was adhered to the front of a Starry Sky card base. The matted rectangle was adhered to the center of the card front and I was careful to line up the tree patterns on the large panel and the smaller rectangular panel. This is the awesome Double Time technique! How fun!

From the Cottage Rose Stamp Set I stamped the sentiment onto the 2″ x 2″ piece of So Saffron cardstock and used the 3rd to smallest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies set to cut out the label. I used a short length of Night of Navy Bordered Ribbon and folded the ribbon in half and adhered the folded section of the ribbon to the lower right of the small rectangle on the card front. The sentiment label was adhered over top of the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the narrow DSP strip and rectangle for the envelope, I again ink blended So Saffron ink towards the bottom of these sections, then ink blended Starry Sky on the remaining areas of the designer series paper. The strip was adhered down the right side of the inside panel and then the panel was adhered to the inside of the card.

The 6″ x 2-1/5″ ink blended designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I trimmed away the excess paper from the flap to finish off the envelope.

I had a lot of fun making this easy Double Time card! Give it a try!

Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose Get Well Card

I used the Cottage Rose Stamp Set, Cottage Flowers Dies and the beautiful Abigail Rose 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper to make this pretty get-well card. This card is a CAS (Create & Share) from the May 2022-April 2023 Annual Catalog although I changed things up a bit.

A piece of the Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper in a Petal Pink stripe print was adhered to a card base in Smoky Slate. I stamped the sentiment “feel better real soon” from the Cottage Rose Stamp Set onto a second piece of Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper in a Smoky Slate leaf print using Early Espresso ink.

Using the largest die from the Cottage Flowers Dies set, I die cut flower pieces in Basic White cardstock. All of the die cut pieces were not used. I selected the largest flower piece, two medium sized flower pieces and one small flower piece along with the stem and leaves piece to construct a flower. The flower pieces and stem were colored using Stampin’ Blends in Petal Pink and Crumb Cake then adhered together to create the 3D flower that adorns the card front. The flower was adhered to the Smoky Slate leaf print piece of DSP, just to the right of the stamped sentiment.

A piece of linen thread was wrapped around the DSP panel and adhered to the back using Stampin’ Seal. Using another length of linen thread, I tied a bow and adhered the bow just under the flower using a Mini Glue Dot. The DSP panel was adhered to the card front.

The largest flower image from the Cottage Rose Stamp Set was partially stamped on the inside panel in Smoky Slate ink and adhered to the inside of the card. This same image was stamped onto the envelope front.

A piece of coordinating paper from the Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I trimmed around the flap to finish off the envelope. Several Iridescent Pearls were adhered to the card front to complete the card.

This card design makes a lovely get-well card but would also make a great birthday, sympathy or anniversary card, too! I hope you’ll give it a try!

Stampin’ Up! Apple Harvest Get Well Card

Happy Monday! I hope everyone enjoyed a nice weekend! Our weather here in the Mid-Atlantic has been beautiful and me and the Westies have been spending time on our deck relaxing!

The Apple Harvest Stamp Set and the Apple Blossom Dies along with the Gingham Cottage 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper were used to create today’s card. This set creates beautiful cards that could be used for birthdays, friendship, and thinking of you cards as well!

The Apple Harvest Stamp Set can be found in the July-December Mini Catalog but you won’t find the Apple Blossom Dies in any catalog. The Apple Blossom Dies are being offered during the Perfect Partners promotion which begins on September 1 and ends on September 30.

Stampin’ Up! has released 6 die sets that coordinate with various stamp sets in the Annual and Mini catalogs and the Apple Blossom Dies are part of this offer! I started off with a Thick Basic White card base and added a panel of the Gingham Cottage DSP to the card front. On a Basic White panel I used Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the apple image. The image of the trellis was also second generation stamped around this panel in Granny Apple Green ink to fill in some of the negative space and to add interest. The apple image was colored in using Stampin’ Blends.

The Apple Blossom Dies were used to create three apple blossoms. I used a sponge dauber and Blushing Bride ink to put a little color on the ends of the blossom petals and used Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends to color the blossom stamens. The blossom petals and stamens were curled towards the centers, then the stamens were adhered to the center of the flowers using a small drop of liquid glue.

The sentiment was stamped onto a sentiment label and a sponge dauber was used to blend a little Granny Apple Green ink around the label edges. The stamped and colored apple panel and the sentiment label were adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment label slightly overlaps the edge of the stamped panel.

A double bow was tied using linen thread and the bow was adhered to the top of the apple branch. The die cut apple blossoms were then adhered to the card front using glue.

A partial image of the same stamp used on the card front was also stamped on the inside panel as well as the envelope front and colored in using Stampin’ Blends. A coordinating piece of the Gingham Cottage DSP adorns the envelope flap.

This completes today’s card! What beautiful images this bundle creates!

Today’s card uses the beautiful Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper and the Fabulous Frames Dies paired with Early Espresso, Petal Pink and Soft Succulent…what great colors together!

The outlines of the flowers on the DSP are in Crumb Cake and I used Petal Pink and Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends to color in the images – both for the front panel and the envelope flap. Such soft, beautiful colors! The large frame was die cut from a piece of Gold Foil and applied over the DSP panel, then adhered to a Petal Pink mat before adhering to the card front. I’m very partial to the new Fabulous Frames Dies…they are awesome!

The large flower image from the Cottage Rose stamp set was used to stamp on the inside card panel as well as the envelope front and those images were colored as well. This finishes up the card!

Cottage Rose Get Well Card / Joining Promotion for May

Cottage Rose get well card

The beautiful Cottage Rose Suite makes the most romantic looking cards. The color palette is on the warm side…my favorite!

Several of the images from the collection were stamped, die cut and colored using Stampin’ Blends. I then used a piece of DSP from the Abigail Rose 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper pack as the card background and added a strip of Calypso Coral over the DSP. Calypso Coral is not one of the “coordinating” colors with this DSP, but I think it’s a great compliment to the Petal Pink in the DSP. I added a small sentiment and some of the new Natural Finish Ribbon to complete the card.

Did you know that you can stamp directly onto the Natural Finish Ribbon? The ribbon is nearly an inch wide! I didn’t do any ribbon stamping on this card but will in a future project. This ribbon has a soft feel to it and frays nicely for a different look. As quilting is one of my creative outlets, I love to feel the texture of fabric, including ribbon. Fabric stores are one of my favorite kinds of stores and I love feeling all of the soft, smooth fabric. All quilters out there know what I’m talking about (insert BIG smile)!

Hand-Penned Petals Get Well Card / Something Special for Customers in March

Hand-Penned petals get well card

The Hand-Penned Petals bundle and Designer Series Paper allow you to create beautiful cards in pastel shades. For this card I chose a Mint Macaron card base with a piece of the Hand-Penned Petals DSP as a mat and a Misty Moonlight panel running down the length of the card which showcases the die cut flower images. The flowers and leaves were die cut in white, Blushing Bride, and Mint Macaron. This card requires only a little stamping and some die cutting before assembling the card, making this a quick and easy option. A small bow and a few Opal Rounds complete the card.
