Stampin’ Up! Lasting Joy Fun Fold Friendship Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I’m looking forward to seeing the projects in the Hop this week…I know the projects will be inspirational as always! If you are hopping over from Terry Lynn’s blog…welcome and thanks for stopping by!

My card today was created using the Lasting Joy Stamp Set and the beautiful Countryside Inn 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and it is a fun fold!

We have a sketch challenge for today and here it is!

This fun fold is essentially two card bases, where the smaller card base is adhered to the front of the large card base. I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 6-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ and scored the cardstock on the long edge at 3-1/4″. A piece of the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper in a Boho Blue print was added to the front of the card base. I punched a 2″ circle from white cardstock using the 2″ Circle Punch and decorated the circle using the flower images from the Lasting Joy Stamp Set. By the way…the flowers in this stamp set coordinate beautifully with the flowers on the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper!

I cut two strips of Night of Navy Soft Shimmer Specialty Paper to 3″ x 3/8″. I used the Banners Pick A Punch to punch banner ends on each strip then adhered the strips together in an X shape and adhere this to the upper right of the small card front. The stamped circle was added over top of the crossed banners using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside panel I stamped the sentiment “I’m so thankful” and stamped flower and greenery images on the lower right and upper left of the panel. The panel was adhered to a mat in Boho Blue and then adhered to the inside of the card. This smaller card was set aside for now.

A piece of the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper in a Night of Navy print was added to the larger Boho Blue card base. The inside panel for this card was stamped with an additional sentiment…”For You” – and I stamped the same flowers and greenery around the sentiment in Boho Blue, Night of Navy and Wild Wheat. The panel was adhered to a Night of Navy mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

Glue was applied to the back of the smaller card and adhered to the front of the large card, making sure that the small card was centered from left to right and top to bottom.

The envelope front was decorated with the same flower and greenery images and a piece of coordinating designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap to finish off the envelope. I added a small blue 2023-2025 In Color Dot to the flower on the front of the card. A length of Balmy Blue & White Variegated Ribbon was used to tie the card closed in lieu of a belly band.

This was a fun card to make…I just love all of the blues together along with a touch of Wild Wheat and the fun fold provides lots of space to use the pretty Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper! You can download, save and print the pdf tutorial for this card by clicking on the image below.

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Balloons Celebration Easy Fun Fold Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

My card today was created using the Beautiful Balloons Bundle and the Bright & Beautiful 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. If you are in need of a “Celebration” card…this is the set and paper to add to your shopping list!

Speaking of Celebrating…that’s our theme challenge for today.

This easy fun fold came together quickly. I started with a card base in Blueberry Bushel measuring 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2 and I scored on the long edge at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4″. The 2-1/8″ score line is a mountain fold and the 4-1/4″ score line is a valley fold – easy peasy.

I used a confetti patterned paper from the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper pack to cut panels for each of the three sections of the card base and adhered these down using liquid glue. Stampin’ Seal would work just fine too. Next, I cut a white panel measuring 4-5/8″ x 3-3/8″. This will be the inside panel. I stamped the sentiment “Let’s get our celebration on” onto the panel and stamped a small balloon below the sentiment. Don’t forget to stamp the balloon string! The panel was adhered to a Blueberry Bushel mat then adhered to the inside of the card base. Adhering this panel first will assist in lining up the panel that will be adhered to the card front!

On a scrap piece of white cardstock I stamped two large balloons – one in Blueberry Bushel and one in Berry Burst, and one small balloon in Lemon Lime Twist. The sentiment “You did it!” was stamped onto the Lemon Lime Twist balloon using Blueberry Bushel ink. I then used the coordinating dies from the Beautiful Balloons Dies set to cut out the balloons.

A diagonal striped piece of paper from the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper pack measuring 4-5/8″ x 3-3/8″ was adhered to a mat in Blueberry Bushel. Closing the card base, this panel was adhered to only the slender panel on the left side of the card – meaning that I only applied glue to the left side of the panel. I was careful to line the front panel up with the previously adhered inside panel.

The two large balloons were arranged onto the striped panel on the card front and adhered down using liquid glue. I placed a small Mini Glue Dot at the center bottom of where the two large balloons meet, and adhered three short pieces of white Baker’s Twine to the Mini Glue Dot. These are the strings for our Balloons! I then adhered the smaller balloon at the base of the large balloons. I added several Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front.

Two small balloons and strings were stamped onto the lower left of the envelope front and I added a piece of coordinating designer series paper to the envelope flap and trimmed the excess paper away from the flap to finish off the envelope. This completes my card for today! I hope you enjoy making this easy fun fold for yourself! This would make a great graduation card, new job card, new home card, etc!

Stampin’ Up! Pretty in Pink Bold Bouquet Mother’s Day Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and that means it is time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I’m looking forward to seeing the projects that my team members have created for the Hop this week…I know their projects will be beautiful as always! If you are hopping over from Terry Lynn’s blog…welcome and thanks for stopping by!

My card today was created using the Bold Bouquet Bundle and the Delightfully Eclectic 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. I also used two different stamp sets for the sentiments – The Best Family Ever Stamp Set and the Share a Milkshake Stamp Set.

We have a sketch challenge for today’s hop. Here is the sketch.

I used my new two favorite pinks for this Mother’s Day card – Berry Burst and Bubble Bath. A panel in Basic White measuring 4-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ was embossed using the cross-hatch embossing folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders set. This panel was then adhered to the card front and centered from top to bottom and left to right. A smaller panel using the Bubble Bath and White striped paper from the Delightfully Electic Designer Series Paper was adhered to a mat in Berry Burst. I wrapped a length of Bubble Bath Sheer Ribbon around the left side of this panel and then the panel was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The panel was offset to the right of the card front to follow our sketch challenge.

I stamped the large flower image from the Bold Bouquet Stamp Set several times onto Basic White cardstock. I first inked up the flower stamp in Bubble Bath ink and then used a sponge dauber to dab Berry Burst ink around the perimeter of the flower stamp. I used a separate sponge dauber to lightly blend in some Crushed Curry ink on each of the flowers just to give a different pop of color. A Berry Burst Stampin’ Blend was used to dot in the flower stamens. I also stamped four leaf sprigs in Lost Lagoon ink onto white cardstock and I used the coordinating dies from the Bold Bouquet Dies set to cut out these images. The images were arranged onto the center left of the card front and adhered down with liquid glue.

The “Mom” sentiment was stamped onto a piece of white cardstock in Berry Burst ink and I used the second to smallest circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut out the sentiment. The sentiment was adhered to the center of the flower arrangement using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a Bubble Bath Sheer Ribbon bow to the lower left of the arranged flowers. A Berry Burst Stampin’ Blend was used to color in multiple Rhinestone Basic Jeweles and these were added around the card front.

For the inside panel I stamped the sentiment “Life is Sweeter with You” in Berry Burst ink. This sentiment came from the Share a Milkshake Stamp Set. I also stamped the large flower image from the Bold Bouquet Stamp Set onto the lower left of the panel – inking the stamp in Bubble Bath and then using a sponge dauber to add some Berry Burst and Crushed Curry ink around the perimeter. I also stamped the smallest leaf sprig in Lost Lagoon aound the flower. The panel was adhered to a Bubble Bath mat and then adhered to the inside of the card.

For the envelope I repeated stamping of the large flower image and leaf sprigs onto the envelope front. A piece of coordinating designer series paper was added to the envelope flap, and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap to finish up the envelope.

Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies All Occasion Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and that means it is time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I’m looking forward to seeing the projects that my team members have created for the Hop this week…I know their projects will be beautiful as always! If you are hopping over from Tara’s blog…welcome and thanks for stopping by!

I couldn’t help myself! I used the beautiful Cheerful Daisies Bundle, Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper and the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder to create today’s card. The Cheerful Daisies Bundle is so versatile…I can’t seem to stay away from this Suite of products!

We have a color challenge for the Hop today. I used all five colors on my card.

I started off with a standard A2 card base in Wild Wheat and added a panel of Moody Mauve paper from the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper pack to the card front. I used the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder to emboss a panel in Boho Blue measuring 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″.

I used the Cheerful Daisies Dies to die cut the large 3-flower image from Wild Wheat cardstock. I also die cut the detailed petal images – also in Wild Wheat. The flower centers were die cut from Copper Clay. The largest flower center was first stamped in Copper Clay ink before die cutting. The two smaller flower centers were dotted with a Copper Clay Stampin’ Blend to give them a little dimension. I first adhered the flower centers to each of the three flowers, then adhered the detailed die cut petals to each flower. This unit was then adhered to the Boho Blue embossed panel.

Before adhering the embossed panel and flowers to the card front, I used a small amount of Stampin’ Seal on the back of the embossed panel and wrapped Linen Thread around the panel three times, securing the ends to the back of the panel. The embossed flower panel was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I tucked in three of the leaf sprigs in Copper Clay and Pebbled Path around the flowers. A double Linen Thread bow was tied to the wrapped thread. This is an all-occasion card…so no sentiments adorn the card.

For the inside panel I simply stamped the half daisy in Wild Wheat and added a Copper Clay flower center. The panel was adhered to a mat in Moody Mauve then adhered to the inside of t he card.

The same half daisy was stamped onto the envelope front and I added a piece of the Moody Mauve paper from the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper pack to the envelope flap.

This completes the card! You can download, save and print a copy of the pdf tutorial for this card by clicking on the image below.

Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies Friendship Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and that means it is time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I’m looking forward to seeing the projects that my team members have created for the Hop this week! If you are hopping over from Terry Lynn’s blog…welcome!

I used the beautiful Cheerful Daisies Bundle and the Fresh as a Daisy 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper! I can’t seem to stay away from this Suite of products! I also used some returning and new colors that will be released on May 2 with the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.

We have a sketch challenge for the Hop today…

I started off with a standard card base in Pretty Peacock cardstock and added a Whild Wheat cardstock mat to the card front. On top of the Wild Wheat mat, I added a strip of Lemon Lolly cardstock that I embossed with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. Two panels were cut from the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper measuring 4-1/4″ x 3″ – one panel with a daisy print and one with a Pretty Peacock leaf print. The Pretty Peacock designer series paper panel was adhered over the Lemon Lolly embossed strip and centered from top to bottom and left to right. The second daisy print designer series paper panel was adhered on top at an angle.

I stamped several of the daisy images in Lemon Lolly ink onto Lemon Lolly cardstock. The flower centers were stamped onto Lemon Lolly cardstock using Crushed Curry ink. The coordinating dies were used to cut out the images. I also cut three leaf sprigs from the Pretty Peacock print designer series paper.

Using a blender pen I brushed Crushed Curry ink over the flower petals in spots to enhance the petals and give them a little depth. A Copper Clay Stampin’ Blend was used to darken the bottoms of the flower centers and I used the light shade of a Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blend to blend out the Copper Clay color. The daisies were adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The leaf sprigs along with a piece of Copper Clay Textured Ribbon were tucked in around the daisies.

On the inside panel a daisy was stamped in Lemon Lolly ink and the daisy center was stamped in Crushed Curry ink. The panel was adhered to a Wild Wheat mat and then this unit was adhered to the inside of the card.

The half daisy was stamped onto the envelope front and a piece of coordinating designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap to finish off the card.

Stampin’ Up! Beauty of the Deep All Occasion Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and that means it is time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I’m looking forward to seeing the projects that my team members have created for the Hop this week! If you are hopping over from Terry Lynn’s blog…welcome!

I was inspired to create this card after my husband and I spent this past weekend in the lovely seaside town of Cape May, New Jersey. I created this card using the Beauty of the Deep Bundle and some of our new and returning ink colors. These products will be available on May 2…just a few short weeks away!

We have a theme challenge for today’s Hop…Outdoors.

I started with a panel in Basic White and stamped the coral image two times from the Beauty of the Deep Stamp Set in Petal Pink ink. The seaweed image was stamped in Pretty Peacock ink along the left side of the panel several times. The “sand” image was stamped along the bottom of the panel in Pecan Pie ink and lastly, I stamped the sea anemone image multiple times – also across the bottom of the panel. The sea anemones were stamped in Berry Burst ink and first and second generation stamped to provide some dimension.

Once all of the stamping was completed, I used a blending brush to blend Lost Lagoon ink across the entire panel. When blending ink onto the panel I left some areas lighter and darker than others to suggest light and shadow in the water.

Using Tuxedo Black Memento ink I stamped three of the angel fish onto Basic White cardstock along with the sentiment “hello” from the Tropical Leaf Stamp Set. I used a Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blend to color in the white areas of the stamped fish then used the coordinating die from the Beauty of the Deep Dies set to cut out the images. I also die cut one sea bush from Lost Lagoon cardstock. The sea bush…I’m not sure what else to call it…was adhered to the card front on the left. The fish were adhered just above the bush using Mini Glue Dots.

I adhered a short length of Pool Party Grosgrain Ribbon to the upper right of the ink blended panel using a few Mini Glue Dots. The sentiment label was cut out using the 2nd to smallest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies set, then the label was adhered over the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside panel, the coral image was stamped in Petal Pink ink and several sea anemones were stamped in Berry Burst ink. I again lightly blended Lost Lagoon ink across the stamped images and the bottom of the panel. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same coral and sea anemone images were stamped onto the envelope front and Lost Lagoon ink blended over the images. On the envelope flap I stamped the large lacy image using Pretty Peacock ink. Several Flat Adhesive-Backed Pearls were adhered to the lower edge of the card front to complete the card.

Stampin’ Up! Countryside Corners “Love You” Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and that means it is time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I’m looking forward to seeing the projects that my team members have created for the Hop this week! If you are hopping over from Terry Lynn’s blog…welcome!

I used the Country Corners Bundle and the beautiful Countryside Inn 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper to create my card for the Hop today! I also used components from the Timeless Arrangements Bundle. These are all upcoming products from the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog which goes live for customer orders beginning on May 2. Do you love shades of blue? If so, you’ll love this collection!

We have a sketch challenge for today…here it is.

I will be very honest. I knew I wanted to create this week’s Hop card using the Countryside Corners Bundle and the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper but I had a really difficult time selecting the paper I wanted to use! The pieces of paper in this pack are all so beautiful and charming! I ended up selecting a print with small bunnies on the background and a Night of Navy print with a subtle flower background.

I adhered the bunny print paper from the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper to a card base in Night of Navy. I then adhered a 2″ wide strip of a Night of Navy print from the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper down the center of the card front. This strip measures the full length of the card at 5-1/2″.

The Country Corners Stamp Set consists of one large octagonal shaped stamp. Using my largest stamp block, Block F, I stamped the image onto a piece of Basic White cardstock using Boho Blue ink. Using the 2nd to largest octagonal die from the Countryside Corners Dies, I cut out the stamped image. The octagonal shape was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and was centered from top to bottom and left to right.

Also from the Countryside Corners Dies set, I cut out the largest sentiment label from Basic White Cardstock and the smallest octagon from Night of Navy cardstock. These serve as the sentiment label and mat. I selected the “You’re my everything” from the Timeless Arrangements Stamp Set and stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink.

The Timeless Arrangements Dies set contains some fantastic dies – including flower sprays that are creatively engineered with a bar that can be glued to the back of one of the three sentiment label dies included in the set! Here are the two dies I used to drop behind my sentiment label. The larger die was used to cut a flower spray in Misty Moonlight cardstock and the single flower spray was die cut from Boho Blue cardstock. I then adhered the die cut pieces to the back of my sentiment label.

I applied a small bit of Stampin’ Seal onto the octagon on my card front – about two-thirds of the way down and slightly left of center. I then used a length of Balmy Blue & White Variegated Ribbon, folded the ribbon in half then adhered it to the Stampin’ Seal. The sentiment label was adhered over the ribbon and flush with the left card edge using a combination of liquid glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside panel, I stamped the sentiment “Just can’t…enough” in Boho Blue ink, then stamped “Love You” in between the first stamped sentiment. The “Love You” was stamped in Night of Navy ink. I used the small flower cluster image to stamp several flowers on the lower corner of the panel. The inside panel was adhered to a mat in Boho Blue then adhered to the inside of the card.

A piece of Night of Navy floral print paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap to finish off the envelope.

I hope you enjoyed my card for today. I really had a GREAT time creating it for you! What a lovely bundle and paper! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stampin’ Up! Two-Tone Flora Center Pop Out Wedding or Anniversary Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and that means it is time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I’m looking forward to seeing the projects that my team members have created for the Hop this week! If you are hopping over from Terry Lynn’s blog…welcome!

I used the Two-Tone Flora Bundle and the pretty Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper to create my card for the Hop today! The card fold is a CASE from my friend, Mary with Stamps-N-Lingers.

We have a color challenge this week! I used Calypso Coral, Balmy Blue, Soft Succulent and Orchid Oasis.

To create the card base I cut a piece of Calypso Coral to 11″ x 4-1/4″ and scored on the long edge at 2-1/4″, 3-5/8″, 7-3/8″ and 8-3/4″. The two outer score lines are valley folds and the two center score lines are mountain folds. I used my bone folder to burnish all of the score lines.

I cut a center panel measuring 4″ x 3-1/2″ from a piece of Soft Succulent patterned paper from the Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper pack. This panel was matted to a piece of Orchid Oasis cardstock measuring 4-1/8″ x 3-5/8″. I also cut two side panels measuring 4″ x 2″ from a pretty Calypso Coral flowered print – also from the Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper pack. The side panels were adhered to Orchid Oasis mats measuring 4-1/8″ x 2-1/8″. The panels were then adhered to the card front.

Using a scrap piece of Balmy Blue cardstock, I stamped the large leaf image from the Two-Tone Flora Stamp Set twice using Balmy Blue ink. The coordinating dies from the Two-Tone Dies set was used to cut out the images. Two medium-sized flowers were stamped onto Balmy Blue cardstock using Orchid Oasis ink. The fill for the flower was second-generation stamped and then the detailed image was first-generation stamped over the fill area – also in Orchid Oasis ink. The images were cut out using the coordinating die from the Two-Tone Flora Dies set.

The sentiment, from the Something Fancy Stamp Set, was stamped in Orchid Oasis ink onto a scrap of Soft Succulent cardstock then die cut using the small tag from the Something Fancy Dies. A second, larger tag was die cut from Orchid Oasis cardstock and the sentiment label was adhered to the larger label. The flowers and leaf sprigs were dry fit onto the center panel of the card, then adhered using liquid glue. The sentiment label was adhered to the center panel at an angle using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Aren’t these colors pretty together?

To allow for a personal, hand-written sentiment a white center panel was added to the back of the card. I stamped the sentiment “Congratulations” in Orchid Oasis ink onto the panel and also added a stamped flower to the lower left of this panel – also in Orchid Oasis. The panel was matted to a piece of Orchid Oasis cardstock, then adhered to the back of the card.

I tied a triple bow using Orchid Oasis Metallic Woven Ribbon and adhered the bow to the top of the sentiment tag using a Mini Glue Dot. Several silver Festive Pearls were also added to the card front. The envelope was decorated with a stamped flower image on the front and a piece of coordinating Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper on the envelope flap.

I hope you enjoyed seeing how I created this card! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! To download, save or print a pdf tutorial for this card, click on the image below.

Stampin’ Up! Irresistible Blooms Thank You Card in Black, White and Crumb Cake for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop and I’m excited to see what my team members have created for the Hop this week!

I used the Irresistible Blooms Bundle and the Loveliest Layers Decorative Masks to create my card for the Hop today! My card is a CASE from Gail Ellis with Blue Rose Paper Treasures. I changed up a few things on my version of the card. I love this color scheme!

We have a “Sketch” challenge this week!

I began with a Basic White cardstock panel measuring 5″ x 3-3/4″. I used one of the masks from the Loveliest Layers Decorative Masks and lined the mask up on the white panel then used Post It Tape to hold the panel and the mask down to my work surface. Using a blending brush, I lightly blended Crumb Cake ink over the mask and panel to create the background. This panel was then adhered to a Basic Black mat.

A strip of black cardstock was cut to 5-1/8″ x 5/8″ and adhered to the white panel and I centered this strip from top to bottom and left to right. A length of burlap ribbon from the Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack was adhered across the black strip and the ends of the ribbon were adhered to the back of the panel using Tear & Tape. The panel was then adhered to the front of a Crumb Cake card base.

Using my Stamparatus, I stamped the large and small flower image from the Irresistible Blooms Stamp Set onto Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Using the same blending brush, I blended Crumb Cake over the stamped flowers then used the coordinating dies from the Irresistible Blooms Dies set to cut out the images. From the same die set I also die cut the three open leaves from Basic Black cardstock.

Again, using the Stamparatus, I stamped the “Thank you” sentiment onto the sentiment label in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. The sentiment label was matted to a piece of Basic Black cardstock.

The sentiment label was adhered to the card front slightly right of center using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The flowers and leaves were dry fit onto the card front then adhered using a combination of glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside panel, I stamped the large flower image in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and blended Crumb Cake ink over the flower image. The small leaf set was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink next to the flower. The inside panel was adhered to a Basic Black mat, then this unit was adhered to the inside of the card.

The large flower and small leaf set was again stamped onto the envelope front using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and Crumb Cake ink was blended over the flower image. The small leaf set was stamped onto the envelope flap using Memento ink. Matte Black Dots were added to the flower centers on the front of the card as well as a single dot to the left of the flowers.

I hope you enjoyed my card for today and thank you for stopping by! Black and white are always a classic look, but adding Crumb Cake to this card gives it a certain flare, I think!

Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream Easter Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop and I’m excited to see what my team members have created for the Hop this week!

I used the Daffodil Daydream Stamp Set, Daffodil Dies, Elegant Borders Dies and one of the embossing folders from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders set along with some pretty paper from the Country Floral Lane 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper pack.

We have a “Spring” theme challenge for the Hop today!

From a Basic White panel measuring 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ I positioned the scrolling die from the Elegant Borders Dies along the long right edge of the panel and die cut. I pulled out the cross-hatch embossing folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders set and then embossed the die cut panel. The panel was then adhered to the front of the Balmy Blue card base.

I stamped the larger daffodil image and stamped the butterfly image twice onto a piece of white cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I used So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends to color in the daffodils and their stems and Starry Sky and Balmy Blue Stampin Blends to color the butterflies. I used the coordinating dies from the Daffodil Dies set to cut out the images.

Using the second to largest circle from the Layering Circles Dies I cut out a circle from a Balmy Blue and white striped print from the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper. The die cut daffodils were adhered to this circle using glue, then the circle was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped onto a coordinating piece of designer series paper in Starry Sky ink with the sentiment stamped slightly to the right. One of the die cut butterflies was adhered to the left side of the sentiment label and the label was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The second butterfly was adhered just above the circle to the right.

On the inside panel I stamped the smaller daffodil image and colored in the image as I did for the daffodils on the card front. A single butterfly was stamped just above the daffodil and colored in. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

The small butterfly was stamped onto the lower corner of the envelope front and I added a piece of coordinating designer series paper to the envelope flap and trimmed away the excess paper from the flap. A double white twine bow was added to the stems of the daffodils on the card front. To finish off the card I used Wink of Stella to add a little sparkle to the butterflies.
