Stampin’ Up! Leaves of Holly Christmas Card with Gold Accents

The beautiful Leaves of Holly Bundle (Leaves of Holly Stamp Set and Holly Berry Dies) and the Boughs of Holly 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper were used to create today’s card. Brushed Metallic Cardstock, gold Simply Elegant Trim, and gold Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots were also used to add some shimmer to the card. The Leaves of Holly Stamp Set, Holly Berry Dies and Boughs of Holly 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper will be retiring with the July-December Mini Catalog! If you’d like to add these products to your crafting stash, be sure to order soon as they are only available while supplies last!

To start, I adhered a 1/2″ strip of Cherry Cobbler cardstock to a piece of the bark pattern paper from the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper. A sentiment from the Leaves of Holly Stamp Set was stamped onto the lower right corner of the DSP panel in Early Espresso ink. The DSP panel was then adhered to a mat in Soft Suede and this unit was then adhered to the card front.

The large and small holly leaves were die cut using the copper-colored and gold Brushed Metallic Cardstock. The outline images and the solid images were both die cut and the holly leaves were assembled and adhered to the Cherry Cobbler strip on the card front. I angled one holly leaf up and to the right and the second holly leaf was angled down and to the right of the Cherry Cobbler strip.

From the small poinsettia print paper from the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper, I fussy cut one of the poinsettia, leaf and berry images and adhered this over top of the Cherry Cobbler strip and holly leaves on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside panel of the card, a second 1/2″ strip of Cherry Cobbler cardstock was positioned on the right side of the panel, leaving approximately 1/4″ of the white panel showing on the right. I then stamped a sentiment onto the white panel then adhered the Cherry Cobbler strip to the panel. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

A double bow was tied using gold Simply Elegant Trim and added just below the fussy cut poinsettia on the card front. Several gold Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots were added to the card front as well.

On the envelope the “open” image of the holly leaf from the Leaves of Holly Stamp Set were stamped onto the front of the envelope in Mossy Meadow ink. The leaf was first stamped, then second-generation stamped again into the same corner of the envelope. A piece of coordinating designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and the excess paper was trimmed away from the flap to finish off the envelope.

The Leaves of Holly Bundle and the coordinating Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper have become some of my favorite products to create beautiful holiday cards! The images and die cuts are gorgeous…as is the paper! I hope you enjoyed today’s card and that I’ve inspired you to give these products a try!

Stampin’ Up! Framed & Festive Christmas Card

The Framed & Festive Stamp Set was used for the sentiments on this card. I love the large bold fonts of the sentiments in this stamp set! The Framed & Festive Stamp Set is part of the Fitting Florets Collection and is available only while supplies last. I also used the Window Wishes Stamp Set, Window Dies and the Santa Express 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper for this card. These products will be retiring with the current Mini Catalog and are while supplies last. If you want any of these items…be sure to order soon!

I chose a piece the Poppy Parade snow print from the Santa Express Designer Series Paper for the background of this card and matted the DSP onto a white mat, then adhered this to the card front. Basic White cardstock was used to create the window scene using the Window Wishes Stamp Set and Window dies.

The snowy scene was first stamped onto a piece of white cardstock and includes a snow hill and snowflakes in Balmy Blue ink and pine trees in Garden Green ink, using stamps from the Window Wishes Stamp Set. Using dies from the Window Dies set, the exterior and interior window frames were die cut and adhered over the stamped panel and I fussy cut around the exterior window frame. A windowsill die cut piece was then added to the bottom of the window. The window was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped from the Framed & Festive Stamp Set onto a piece of white cardstock, adhered to a Poppy Parade mat then adhered to the card front using a combination of liquid glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals. The wreath from the Window Wishes Stamp Set was stamped in Poppy Parade, die cut and adhered to the top of the Window unit using Mini Glue Dots.

I tied a small bow using the Black & White Gingham Ribbon and adhered to the top of the wreath using a Mini Glue Dot. While no other black was used on the card, I really liked the contrast of the black and white checked ribbon to break up all of the red and white. Multiple Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels were adhered to the wreath and one red rhinestone was added to the sentiment label to complete the card front.

An additional sentiment from the Framed & Festive Stamp Set was stamped in Poppy Parade ink onto the inside panel. The pine tree image was stamped onto the lower left of the inside panel using Garden Green ink and the panel was adhered to the inside of the card.

To finish off the card, the same pine trees were stamped in Garden Green ink onto the envelope front and a coordinating piece of designer series paper was added to the envelope flap and a trimmed the excess designer series paper away to finish off the envelope.

The cheerful Poppy Parade on this card along with the wintry window scene on this card really says Merry Christmas and is sure to delight the recipient! Be sure to grab these stamp sets, dies and DSP before they are gone!

Stampin’ Up Christmas Lights Box Fun Fold Holiday Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It is already Thursday and time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I can’t wait to see what my team members have created for the Hop today! I know there is sure to be lots of inspiration.

I created my card for today using the Christmas Lights Stamp Set, Twinkling Lights Dies and the Snowflake 12″ x 12″ Specialty Vellum. Sentiments came from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set.

We have a theme challenge for today and that is “Let it snow!”. I love a pretty snowfall…as long as I don’t have to drive in it!

I’m calling this card a box fun fold. I was just playing around and came up with this fold, so the measurements are mine. The card consists of two bases – a card base and the box base which I cut from Orchid Oasis cardstock. The card base measures 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ and has no score lines. The box base measures 5-3/4″ x 4-1/4″ and is scored at 3/8″, 1-3/8″, 4-3/8″ and 5-3/8″. The first and last score lines create the “tabs” which get adhered to the card base.

Before adhering the box base to the card base, I first adhered Snowflake Specialty Vellum panels to the three sections on the box base. I folded the tabs on each end of the box base under and applied a thin line of glue to each tab. The box base is then folded at the 1-3/8″ score line and I lined up this folded edge 1/4″ from the left side of the card base, then flattened the box base and adhered it to the card base.

Once the two bases were adhered together, I added vellum panels to the right and left sides of the card base. I die cut a large snowflake in Basic White cardstock from the Twinkling Lights Dies set. The snowflake was adhered to the center panel of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A sentiment from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set was stamped in Orchid Oasis ink onto a 3″ x 1″ piece of white cardstock. I then used the Very Best Trio punch to make the short ends of the sentiment label fancy. Each end of the sentiment label was trimmed to just above the curved section and the label was adhered to an Orchid Oasis mat, then adhered to the center panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A double bow was tied using Orchid Oasis Metallic Woven Ribbon and adhered to the center panel between the die cut snowflake and the sentiment label.

Since this card does not open like a traditional card, a panel was added to the back of the card. I stamped an additional sentiment from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set onto a Basic White cardstock panel measuring 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″. The medium-sized snowflake from the Christmas Lights Stamp Set was stamped in Orchid Oasis ink around this sentiment and the panel was adhered to the back of the card.

The same snowflake stamp was used to stamp snowflakes onto the envelope front and envelope flap. A large Adhesive-backed Star was adhered to the center of the large die cut snowflake and I adhered a combination of small and large stars to either side of the center panel to complete the card.

I hope you enjoyed my card for today’s hop and I want to thank you for stopping by! This is a great fun fold to show off pretty designer series paper, die cuts and specialty papers! The best part is that the card folds flat – either to the left or right – to fit into a standard A2 envelope!

Stampin’ Up! Celebrate with Tags Christmas Card

Today’s card uses the Celebrate with Tags Stamp Set, Celebrations Tag Dies, Brightest Glow Stamp Set and paper from the 2021-2023 In Color 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper pack. I also used white glimmer paper for the die cut snowflakes.

I have entered this card in the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #189. Below is the Challenge board and I went across the top and bottom rows, down the left and middle columns, and diagonally from left to right. and diagonally from right to left.

Using the dotted print in Soft Succulent from the 2021-2023 In Color Designer Series Paper I adhered a panel to a Basic White mat, then adhered this to a card base in Evening Evergreen. There is that dreamy color combination again…Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen!

Using the Evening Evergreen plaid print from the In Color Designer Series Paper, I used the Celebrations Tag Dies to die cut a tag. From the Celebrate With Tags Stamp Set, I stamped the image of the mittens in Soft Succulent ink onto white cardstock then used the coordinating die from the Celebrations Tag Dies to cut out the mittens. The mittens were then adhered to the front of the tag.

Several snowflakes were die cut using the snowflake die from the Celebrations Tag Dies in white glimmer paper from the Real Red & White 6″ x 6″ Glimmer Paper pack. One of the snowflakes was adhered over top of the mittens and onto the die cut tag. I looped white twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack through the top of the tag. The decorated tag was then adhered to the top of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and the tag was placed at an angle. A double bow was adhered from white twine was adhered to the top of the tag.

A sentiment from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set was stamped onto white cardstock and die cut using the circle die from the Celebrations Tag Dies set. The sentiment was adhered to the card front towards the middle right of the card and slightly overlapping the previously adhered tag. The sentiment label was also adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The remaining glimmer snowflakes were adhered to the card front as were several Rhinestone Basic Jewels for some added sparkle!

The “Merry Christmas” sentiment was chosen from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set and stamped on the inside panel in Evening Evergreen ink. A strip of the In Color plaid in Evening Evergreen was added to the bottom of the inside panel, then the panel was adhered to a mat in Soft Succulent and this unit was adhered to the inside of the card.

A piece of In Color paper in the Soft Succulent pattern was adhered to the envelope flap and I trimmed away the excess paper around the flap to finish off the envelope.

The below photo shows off the sparkle in the die cut snowflakes! Sometimes it’s difficult to capture the shimmer and sparkle on cards, despite good lighting, using a photo box, etc.

To view, download, save or print the pdf tutorial for this card, click on the image below.

Sadly, the Celebrations Tag Dies will be retiring from the current Mini Catalog. But you can purchase these amazing dies before they are gone during the Last Chance Products sale which begins on December 1! The Celebrations Tag Dies aren’t just for Christmas. The dies cover everything from birthdays, Valentine’s Day, sentiment labels, gift tags and gift card holders, in addition to Christmas! Check out these dies and if you feel this is something you need in your crafting stash…grab them before they are gone.

Wishing you a great day!

Stampin’ Up! Decorated With Happiness Double Box Fancy Fold Christmas Card

I have the honor of being a Guest Designer today for the Creative Creases Challenge! I love fun folds so my card for today was extra fun to create. I used the Decorated With Happiness Stamp Set, Decorated Pine Dies, the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder and Real Red & White 6″ x 6″ Glimmer Paper for some added sparkle to create this card! You can visit the Creative Creases Challenge site by clicking here.

The Double Box Fancy Fold consists of two card bases, which as you may have guessed, form two boxes for a free-standing card. The larger card base is in Soft Succulent and is covered with white panels which were embossed using the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder. The second card base consists of the “main” card panel and a small side panel which was also embossed.

Focusing on the main card panel, I began by second generation stamping the large pine bough image in Soft Succulent ink coming in from the top left. A sentiment from the Decorated With Happiness Stamp Set was stamped onto the lower right of this panel using Evening Evergreen ink.

Several components were die cut using the Decorated Pine Dies for the main panel. Specifically, I die cut a large pine bough from Evening Evergreen cardstock. Stars from White Glimmer Paper were die cut and the ornament was die cut in both Red and White Glimmer Paper.

The ornament was pieced together using both red and white Glimmer Paper and the pieces were secured on the reverse side using Tear & Tape. A piece of red and white Baker’s twine was threaded through the top of the ornament to “hang” from the stamped pine bough branch and secured with a small drop of glue. The ornament was adhered to the main panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals to hang below the pine bough. The die cut pine bough was adhered to the panel and white glimmer stars were scattered across the pine bough.

On the large card base, the embossed panels were adhered to their corresponding panels and the box mechanism was adhered into place. For the smaller card base, the smaller side panel was matted to a piece of Soft Succulent, then adhered to the card base. The smaller card base was then adhered to the larger card base to form the second box. The main panel was then adhered to the card front. A small red ribbon bow was added to the top of the ornament.

A white panel was stamped with pine boughs and an additional sentiment. This panel was then adhered to the back of the card. The same pine bough image was stamped onto the envelope front and envelope flap.

This double box fancy fold makes a pretty card. I hope you give it a try! You can view a pdf tutorial for this card, which includes detailed instructions and photos, by clicking on the image below.

I hope everyone enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving and I’m sure a few of you will be out shopping Black Friday deals today! Happy shopping and have a great weekend!

Stampin’ Up! Jingle Jingle Jingle Christmas Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thanksgiving! It’s Thursday and time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. I know we’re going to see a lot of wonderful creations on the Hop today, so I hope you’ll join in!

I created my card from the Jingle Jingle Jingle Stamp Set and the fun Santa Express 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper.

We have a sketch challenge for today’s hop…

If you’re watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade today, you know that at the end of the parade the big guy in red…Santa Clause…makes his appearance to kick off the holiday season! My card today is a hat tip to Santa!

Following the sketch challenge my card today is simple in design and quick to put together. I started off with a card base in Granny Apple Green and used the small star from the Jingle Jingle Jingle Stamp Set to stamp down the sides of the card base front using Granny Apple Green ink. After stamping the stars I used wink of stella to give them a little sparkle!

A Poppy Parade print with the words “Fa-La-La” from the Santa Express Designer Series Paper pack was adhered down the center of the card front.

I cut a sentiment label to approximately 3-1/2″ x 1-1/8″ from Basic White cardstock and used my Stamparatus to stamp the outline of the word “Believe” in Granny Apple Green ink. I then used the filler stamp, also in Granny Apple Green ink, to fill in the word.

A sentiment label mat was cut in Granny Apple Green and measures the same width as the DSP panel and sentiment label, but is cut a little wider. I stamped the same small star from the Jingle Jingle Jingle Stamp Set in Granny Apple Green ink across the top and bottom of this sentiment label mat and brushed the stars with Wink of Stella before adhering the sentiment label to it’s mat. The sentiment label was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and was placed on the lower third of the card front, lining up the edges of the sentiment label with the DSP panel previously adhered.

On a small scrap of white cardstock, I stamped the Santa hat from the Jingle Jingle Jingle Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, then stamped the red fill for the hat in Poppy Parade ink. The Santa hat was fussy cut and adhered to the top left of the sentiment label using a combination of liquid glue and a Stampin’ Dimensional. The white areas of the hat were dusted with Wink of Stella. The hat was set at a jaunty angle of course!

I used Metallic Mesh Ribbon to tie a bow and adhered the bow towards the top center of the card front. Multiple silver Festive Pearls were added across the top and bottom of the sentiment label.

For the inside panel I stamped the words “in the magic” from the Jingle Jingle Jingle Stamp Set in Granny Apple Green ink, then used the “Merry Christmas” stamp from the Santa’s Delivery Stamp Set to stamp below the first sentiment in Poppy Parade ink. Several of the small stars from the Jingle Jingle Jingle Stamp Set were stamped around these sentiments using Granny Apple Green ink.

The same small star was stamped on the envelope front multiple times in Granny Apple Green ink and a piece of coordinating Santa Express Designer Series Paper was adhered to the envelope flap. I trimmed around the flap to finish off the envelope.

I hope you enjoyed my card for today and I hope you believe in the magic of the season, too!

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments Pink Poinsettias Christmas Card

These beautiful pink poinsettias on this card were created using the Merriest Moments Stamp Set and the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder which comes with the Merriest Frames Dies and some lightly blended Cherry Cobbler ink.

Who knew that faded out Cherry Cobbler ink would make such a pretty shade of pink? That’s why it’s important to play with color! [Insert smile…]

I also used the Holly Berry Dies to add a few pine boughs to the card. The Basic Borders Dies were used to cut the V shape onto the Distressed Gold panel. Speaking of Distressed Gold 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper…it’s currently not orderable but is expected back in stock in a few weeks. So, my apologies for creating a card using an item that isn’t currently available. If you have some on hand, great! If not, I’m a big advocate of using what you have in your stash…so you can easily substitute a coordinating piece of designer series paper for this card. On to the card.

I added a piece of Cherry Cobbler polka-dot patterned paper from the Boughs of Holly 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper pack to a card base in Very Vanilla. I used the Basic Borders die to die cut the V shaped panel from Distressed Gold 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and added this to the card front.

From Very Vanilla cardstock I die cut two large, two medium, two small and two extra small poinsettias using the Merriest Frames Dies then lightly blended Cherry Cobbler ink over these flower pieces using a blending brush. I also die cut several holly leaves from the Merriest Frames Dies set as well as several pine boughs in gold from the Holly Berry Dies set.

The poinsettia pieces were assembled using liquid glue and I was careful to stagger the flower petals when adhering the pieces together. Three gold Festive Pearls were added to the flower centers to complete the flowers. A sentiment was stamped onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock in Cherry Cobbler ink and I lightly blended Cherry Cobbler ink around the sentiment label edges. The sentiment label was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and was centered from top to bottom and to the right of the card front.

The poinsettias were also adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then tucked in the Holly leaves and gold pine boughs around the flowers.

Gold Simply Elegant Trim was looped three times then folded in half with the ends secured with several Mini Glue Dots. The trim was then tucked under the top flower – adding some extra shimmer. One additional gold Festive Pearl was added to the sentiment label.

On the inside panel of the card, I stamped an additional sentiment from the Merriest Moments Stamp Set in Cherry Cobbler ink and third generation stamped the greenery image on the bottom of the panel. The panel was then adhered to a panel of coordinating designer series paper and then I adhered this unit to the inside of the card.

The same greenery image from the Merriest Moments Stamp Set was third generation stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink onto the envelope front. A piece of Distressed Gold Specialty Paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I trimmed around the flap to finish off the envelope.

I love decorating with poinsettias at Christmas time and it is what made me think of creating pink poinsettias for this Christmas card. So pretty! I hope you’ll give it a try!

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Candy Canes Christmas Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I can’t wait to see what my teammates have created this week! I used the Sweet Candy Canes Bundle and the Decorated Pines Dies to create my card for today.

We have a color challenge for the Hop today and I used Sweet Sorbet, Basic White, Pool Party and Garden Green as the colors for my card.

Using the largest die from the Candy Canes Dies set with the diagonal stripes, I die cut a panel in Garden Green and Sweet Sorbet. The Garden Green panel was adhered to a Basic White Thick cardstock base “right side” down. The Sweet Sorbet panel was adhered over top of the Garden Green panel and was adhered “right side” up to create a really cool looking crosshatch pattern on the card front.

Using the candy cane dies from the Candy Canes Dies set, I die cut two candy canes from the Sweetest Christmas 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. I chose the candy canes with Sweet Sorbet, Garden Green and Pool Party stripes. Crossing the candy canes and using a combination of liquid glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals the candy canes were adhered to the card front.

Several pine boughs were die cut in Garden Green and Pool Party cardstock using the Decorated Pine Dies. The pine boughs were slipped under either side of the candy canes and adhered to the card front.

A sentiment from the Sweet Candy Canes Stamp Set was stamped in Sweet Sorbet ink onto a piece of Basic White cardstock and die cut using the 2nd to smallest die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set. Another circle was die cut from the Garden Green dotted print from the Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper and the sentiment label was adhered to this circle. The sentiment label was then adhered to the card front.

An additional sentiment was stamped onto a white panel in Sweet Sorbet ink. I also stamped a partial candy cane onto the bottom of the panel along with two greenery sprigs. The panel was adhered to a Garden Green mat then adhered to the inside of the card.

To finish off the card front I tied a double bow using Sweet Sorbet Metallic Woven Ribbon and adhered the bow above the sentiment label. One red Festive Pearl was also adhered to the top of the sentiment label.

The candy cane image and greenery were stamped onto the bottom left of the envelope front and a piece of coordinating designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I trimmed around the flap to finish off the envelope.

You can view a pdf tutorial for this card by clicking on the image below.

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Deer Holiday Card

Today’s card was created using the Peaceful Deer Stamp Set, Reindeer Dies and some ink blending! This is a fun winter scene complete with moon beams and big, fat snowflakes…you know, the kind that fall from the sky just before the snow fall ends!

I can’t take credit for the moon beam idea as I saw this shared on a social media platform, but credit was not given to the original creator, so credit goes to whoever thought of this!

I started off with a white panel and used scissors to cut a gentle snow “hill” into a straight piece of masking paper then adhered this towards the bottom of the card – about 2/3 of the way down. I used a second piece of masking paper with a straight edge and positioned it in the upper right corner and angled it to the left to create the first moon beam. I used a blending brush and first blended Balmy Blue ink in the unmasked area, then came back in with Starry Sky ink and concentrated this ink around the edge of the masking paper. I repositioned the piece of masking paper, keeping the right side tight to the top right of the panel and dropping the left side about 3/4″ below the first inked area and repeated the ink blending steps until the top portion of the panel was covered with moon beams!

Next, I used white pigment ink and a small amount of water and dropped in snowflakes onto the sky. The little bit of water mixed with the pigment ink reacted with the Starry Sky ink and caused the snowflakes to spread slightly. I rather like this look as it reminds me of big fluffy snowflakes!

The masking paper covering the snow hill was removed and I lightly blended Starry Sky ink across the top of the snow hill. I used the same piece of masking paper for the snow hill and flipped it upside down and created a second snow hill below the first – blending ink on this hill and making this one darker than the first.

I die cut two pine trees in Evening Evergreen cardstock from the Reindeer Dies set and cut one of the trees down by about half. The pine trees were adhered to the card front as was a die cut reindeer in Early Espresso. I used white pigment ink and painted the ink across the top of the reindeer to give the impression of the moon shining off of him. The pine trees also were painted with white ink to give the impression of snow. The reindeer was also adhered to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment for the front of the card onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock and die cut using the 3rd smallest die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set. (If you don’t own this die set…you really should get it…it comes in so handy!) The sentiment label was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The panel was then adhered to a mat in Starry Sky then this unit was adhered to the card front.

An additional sentiment was stamped on the inside of the card as was the pine tree image from the Peaceful Deer stamp set. The same pine tree image was also stamped onto the envelope front and envelope flap. Rhinestone Basic Jewels were adhered to the card front to finish off the card.
