Stampin’ Up! Tropical Leaf Love You Lots Card

The Tropical Leaf Bundle, which includes a stamp set and punch, make for a whimsical card! The Tropical Leaf Bundle is an Online Exclusive!

I started out by creating a background panel by repeatedly stamping the small and large leaves across the panel. The leaves were stamped using Soft Sea Foam ink and the veins were stamped using Pear Pizzazz ink. The stamped panel was adhered to a Mossy Meadow mat, then this unit was adhered to the card front.

The sentiment “Love you lots” was stamped onto the sentiment label and the label was matted to a piece of Mossy Meadow. A small amount of Stampin’ Seal was applied to the center of the card front and a piece of burlap ribbon was folded in half and adhered to the Stampin’ Seal. The sentiment label was adhered to the center of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped several large leaves with veins onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using several different inks then I used the Tropical Leaf Punch to punch the leaves out. The leaves were adhered to the card front. The Pear Pizzazz leaf was adhered using liquid glue and the other two leaves were adhered above and below the sentiment label. Several Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots were also adhered to the card front.

The “XOXO” sentiment was stamped onto the inside panel. The panel was adhered to a mat in Mossy Meadow then this unit was adhered to the inside of the card.

A small leaf in Soft Sea Foam and Pear Pizzazz adorns the envelope front to finish off the card.

This is such a great card to give to your spouse, significant other, child, grandchild, or friend to remind them know how much you love them!

March Paper Pumpkin – Ten Years of Growth

My March 2023 Paper Pumpkin kit arrived – Ten Years of Growth, and I couldn’t wait to assemble these cards. They are so incredibly pretty! If my photos don’t do these cards justice it’s because I’m still tweaking the settings on my new phone…I’m getting there!

I donate cards to a local hospital, and I needed some Easter and Spring cards this month so rather than following the Paper Pumpkin instructions (which are included with the kit!) I changed things up ever so slightly. I did use Easter sentiments from the Celebrating You Stamp Set and the Daffodil Daydream Stamp set. I also switched out the supplied Polished Pink Ink Spot for Gorgeous Grape ink. I also added Fresh Freesia and Gorgeous Grape Opaque Adhesive-Backed Gems to the cards. Other than those modifications, I assembled the card components as per the instructions.

Each of the cards contains gold foil accents…so pretty!

Paper Pumpkin Kits come with everything you need to complete the project. Unless you want to change things up and use other supplies you have on hand like I did.

It took me about an hour to assemble these cards…that’s it! The Ten Years of Growth Kit came with an additional stamp set and made a total of 9 cards – 3 each of 3 different designs. Sometimes the kits will include a little something extra. Which is awesome! The stamps in this kit will cover friendship, Easter, birthdays, Spring and Mother’s Day.

You can read all about the upcoming April Paper Pumpkin Kit below.

Have a wonderful day!

Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream Easter Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop and I’m excited to see what my team members have created for the Hop this week!

I used the Daffodil Daydream Stamp Set, Daffodil Dies, Elegant Borders Dies and one of the embossing folders from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders set along with some pretty paper from the Country Floral Lane 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper pack.

We have a “Spring” theme challenge for the Hop today!

From a Basic White panel measuring 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ I positioned the scrolling die from the Elegant Borders Dies along the long right edge of the panel and die cut. I pulled out the cross-hatch embossing folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders set and then embossed the die cut panel. The panel was then adhered to the front of the Balmy Blue card base.

I stamped the larger daffodil image and stamped the butterfly image twice onto a piece of white cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I used So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends to color in the daffodils and their stems and Starry Sky and Balmy Blue Stampin Blends to color the butterflies. I used the coordinating dies from the Daffodil Dies set to cut out the images.

Using the second to largest circle from the Layering Circles Dies I cut out a circle from a Balmy Blue and white striped print from the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper. The die cut daffodils were adhered to this circle using glue, then the circle was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped onto a coordinating piece of designer series paper in Starry Sky ink with the sentiment stamped slightly to the right. One of the die cut butterflies was adhered to the left side of the sentiment label and the label was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The second butterfly was adhered just above the circle to the right.

On the inside panel I stamped the smaller daffodil image and colored in the image as I did for the daffodils on the card front. A single butterfly was stamped just above the daffodil and colored in. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

The small butterfly was stamped onto the lower corner of the envelope front and I added a piece of coordinating designer series paper to the envelope flap and trimmed away the excess paper from the flap. A double white twine bow was added to the stems of the daffodils on the card front. To finish off the card I used Wink of Stella to add a little sparkle to the butterflies.

Stampin’ Up! Tone-on-Tone Nature’s Harvest Thinking of You Card

I created today’s tone-on-tone card using Gray Granite cardstock and the pretty Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper along with images from the Nature’s Harvest Bundle, the Honeybee Blooms Dies and the Layering Circles Dies. Oh, and some pretty Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon, too!

On a panel of Gray Granite cardstock measuring 5-1/4″ x 4″ I wrapped a length of Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon around the panel and secured the ends to the back of the panel using Tear & Tape. The ribbon was positioned approximately 2-1/4″ from the top of the panel.

Next, from a panel of the Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper measuring 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″ I carefully cut out a large circle (Layering Circles Dies) and the long, slender sentiment label (Harvest Dies) from the center of the Rose Gold panel. I set aside the circle and sentiment label for now. The ribbon-wrapped Gray Granite panel was adhered to the Rose Gold Metallic panel, then this unit was adhered to a card base in Gray Granite. Even though I used the the Rose Gold panel for some die cutting, the Gray Granite panel nicely covers up the die cut areas and makes good use of this pretty paper!

From the Harvest Dies, I die cut a branch from Gray Granite cardstock and a flower sprig from Early Espresso cardstock. Using the Honeybee Blooms Dies, I die cut a grass from Gold Metallic Specialty Paper. These elements were arranged onto the Rose Gold circle previously cut and adhered using liquid glue. This circle unit was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and positioned over the strip of shimmer ribbon.

Onto a scrap of Gray Granite cardstock I stamped the “Sending healing thoughts…” sentiment in Early Espresso ink. The sentiment label was die cut using the label die from the Harvest Dies set. The previously cut Rose Gold sentiment label was adhered to the back of the Gray Granite label, leaving a reveal of the Rose Gold label along the bottom. Here’s a closer look…

On the inside panel I stamped the watercolor image from the Nature’s Harvest Stamp Set in Gray Granite ink onto the lower right corner. I then stamped the small flower image from the same stamp set in Early Espresso ink overtop of the watercolor stamped area. The inside panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same watercolor and small flower images were stamped onto the envelope front. A small bow from the Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon was added to the stems of the branch, flower sprig and grass on the card front using a Mini Glue Dot to finish off the card.

I love the elegant look of a tone-on-tone card and this pretty Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper adds just the right amount of sparkle to dress up the card!

Stampin’ Up! Enjoy the Adventure Memories and More Cards – What will you create?

My wonderful team leaders recently gifted each of their team members with the Enjoy The Adventure Memories and More Cards & Envelopes and Enjoy The Adventure Memories & More Card Pack for reaching a team goal! I love the Memories & More products as you can assemble cards with what is provided or put your own little twist on things! The photo above shows a few cards I created in a matter of minutes!

The photo below shows the Enjoy The Adventure Memories and More Cards & Envelopes, and the Enjoy The Adventure Memories and More Card Pack items along with some ribbon and embellishments that I pulled from my stash (ribbon, embellishments and adhesives are not included in Memories and More packs). The card bases measure 4″ x 6″, and the paper and envelopes are of the highest quality with a nice weight to them. If purchasing both the Enjoy The Adventure Memories and More Cards & Envelopes and the Enjoy The Adventure Memories and More Card Pack, you will receive 20 cards and envelopes, small and large panels and four sheets of stickers that coordinate beautifully.

Below is the first card I created with the Enjoy The Adventure products. I first chose one of the larger panels from the Memories and More Pack in a black and white “thank you” print and adhered this to one of the card bases. Next, I chose one of the small panels and cut the panel in half. I then wrapped some Black and White Gingham Ribbon around the smaller panel. The small panel was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and I added a Matte Black Dot to the sentiment label. Cute card…right?

On this next card I cut a mat in Balmy Blue card stock and adhered it to a small panel then adhered the panel to the upper left side of the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used two of the provided stickers to create a sentiment label and also adhered this to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a Balmy Blue and White Ribbon bow to the card front and I used a Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blend to color several Rhinestone Basic Jewels and added those to the larger panel.

On this next card I cut down one of the large panels from the Memories and More Pack and adhered it to a card base. I cut a mat in Basic Black card stock and adhered the mat at an angle on the card front. A small panel from the Memories and More Pack was adhered over the black mat using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A double Linen Thread bow was adhered at the base of the flower image and I added a Memories and More butterfly sticker to the top corner of the panel. I colored a Rhinestone Basic Jewel using the dark shade of a Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blend and added the jewel to the card front.

This last card I’m sharing with you is a thinking of you card. I cut a mat from Mint Macaron card stock and added a small panel from the Memories and More Pack. A bow in Balmy Blue and White Ribbon was added to the top of the small panel and I added a flower sticker from the Pack to the lower right of the small panel. A single Rhinestone Basic Jewel was colored with a Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blend and also added to the small panel.

These cards were a breeze to create and quick, too! And I still have enough materials to create 16 more cards! I hope I gave you some good ideas using the Enjoy The Adventure Memories and More items. I don’t have a pdf tutorial for you today for these cards but here are some basics:

  • Large Memories and More panels were cut down to 5-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ on the You’re Sweet card and 5-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ on the black and white Thank You card.
  • Mats for small panels were cut to 4-1/8″ x 3-1/8″
  • The insides of the cards were left blank so that I can stamp a sentiment of my choice when a card is needed.

The Enjoy The Adventure Memories and More Card and Envelopes and Card Pack are a great option and a great time saver! Give them a try! Products I used for these cards are listed at the bottom of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Rhino Ready Birthday Card

Today’s card was created using the Rhino Ready Bundle (stamps and dies) and some ink blending. I love creating scenes using die cuts and ink blending! The Rhino Ready Bundle is now available as an Online Exclusive! As the name implies…you can only find these items online.

I started off by ink blending a Basic White panel to create a safari type landscape, complete with open plains, distant mountains and a Marula Tree (I had to google the name of the tree!). I also die cut a number of components using the Rhino Ready Dies. The image of our cute little Rhino and his bird friend was stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and I used a variety of Stampin’ Blend colors to color in the image. All of the components were arranged onto the ink blended panel and adhered with either liquid glue or Stampin’ Dimensionals. This card uses quite a few inks and cardstock colors! If you don’t have the exact colors I used – use what you have and make it fun! If you would like to use the exact colors I used, I have all of the products listed at the bottom of this post for you.

The finished panel was adhered to a mat in Highland Heather then this unit was adhered to a card base in Mossy Meadow.

For the inside of the card, I stamped an additional sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, and I stamped the sitting Rhino towards the bottom of the panel and colored him in using Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. The panel was adhered to a Highland Heather mat then this unit was adhered to the inside of the card.

The same image of the sitting Rhino was stamped onto the envelope front and colored using Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends and a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker. The small bird was stamped onto the envelope flap and colored with Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends.

To finish off the card I used the light shade of an Old Olive Stampin’ Blend to add a shadow under the Rhino, plants and tree trunk and I used a Stampin’ Blend Color Lifter to lift a highlight on the Rhino’s tusk.

This card was loads of fun to put together…I hope you give it a try! You can download, save and print a pdf tutorial for this card by clicking on the image below.

Stampin’ Up! On the Farm All Occasion Card

Even though the Day at the Farm Designer Series Paper is no longer available through Sale-A-Bration, you can still make an adorable card using the On the Farm Stamp Set and On the Farm Dies!  I made an All-Occasion card, but you can easily make this into a birthday card, friendship card, or thinking of you card!  This set makes great kids’ cards too!  The die set includes a massive amount of dies so you’ll want to check it out.

[Side Note – I have a new phone which has a really great camera. However, I’m still learning how to use it. If my photos are a little off, please bear with me!]

For the white card front panel, I made a mask from a scrap piece of paper using the long, thin wavy die included with the On the Farm Dies set. I used this mask on a white panel and with a blending brush I blended Granny Apple Green ink towards the bottom 1/3 of the panel to establish the “ground” of the scene. I used the grass stamp from the On the Farm Stamp Set to randomly stamp grass across the bottom portion of the panel.

I stamped, colored, and die cut a number of pieces for my scene – including clouds, a barn, silo, hills, a windmill, trees, a sheep and a chicken. I also stamped the sentiment onto a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock and used the smallest circle die from the Layering Circles Dies set to cut out. All of the images were dry fit onto the ink-blended panel. The hills, barn, silo, trees and windmill were all adhered directly to the panel using liquid glue. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment label, clouds, sheep and chicken to the card front. The scene was then adhered to a mat in Basic Black and this unit was adhered to the card front.

On the inside panel I again ink blended Granny Apple Green ink onto the lower corner and then used the grass stamp to randomly stamp grass along the ink blended area. Several clouds were stamped in Balmy Blue ink across the top of the panel and I used the light shade of a Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend to add a shadow towards the bottoms of the clouds. The panel was adhered to a mat in Basic Black then adhered to the inside of the card.

I stamped the image of the pigs onto the envelope flap and colored them in using the light shade of a Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blend. More ink blending and stamped grass were added to the bottom of the envelope front.

I tied a very small double bow using Linen Thread and added the bow to the bottom of the sentiment label. Several Matte Black Dots were added towards the bottom of the card front to complete the card.

I mentioned that there are a lot of fun dies included in the On the Farm Dies set…take a look!

Stampin’ Up! Country Bouquet All Occasion Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop and I’m excited to see what my team members have created for the Hop today!

I used the pretty Country Bouquet Stamp Set, Country Floral Lane 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and the Around the Bend Bundle to create my card for the Hop.

We have a sketch challenge for today and this is my interpretation of the sketch.

I started off by adhering a piece of the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper to a mat in Sweet Sorbet, then adhered this to a Mossy Meadow card base. The two-step heart from the Country Bouquet Stamp Set was stamped onto a piece of white cardstock in Mossy Meadow and Sweet Sorbet. I then used the largest die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set to cut out the stamped image.

Onto a white sentiment label measuring 3″ x 1-1/4″ I stamped a sentiment from the Around the Bend Stamp Set using Mossy Meadow ink. The sentiment label was adhered to the right side of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and was centered from top to bottom. The stamped heart circle was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and was placed on the left side of the card front and partially overlapping the sentiment label.

Using dies from the Around the Bend Dies set, I cut out leaves in Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz and hearts from Sweet Sorbet. The leaves were tucked under the circle die cut and above and below the sentiment label and were adhered with glue. I scattered the die cut hearts around the card front.

The inside panel of the card was simply stamped with a leaf sprig and hearts from the Country Bouquet Stamp Set and was then adhered to a mat in Sweet Sorbet.

The envelope front was also decorated with the same leaf sprig and hearts, and I adhered a piece of coordinating designer series paper to the envelope flap and fussy cut around the flap to finish off the envelope.

A small bow from Real Red ribbon was adhered to the card front below the circle and I adhered several white Enamel Dots to the card front as well.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and I want to thank you for stopping by! If you’re joining the hop from my blog, be sure to use the navigation links below to see more creativity and inspiration!

To download, save and print a pdf tutorial for this card, click on the image below.

Now let’s get back to the Hop! You can click on the “Next” button below to be taken to Amy Koenders blog and the top of the Blog Hop list or click on any name in the list below to be taken to that person’s blog.

Stampin’ Up! Friends Are Like Seashells Friendship Card

I used the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set, Sea Turtle Stamp Set, Framed Florets Dies, and the By The Bay 6″ x 6″ Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I also used a bunch of “sea-colored” inks…but use what you have and make it fun!  This card involves fussy cutting and ink blending and I had a ton of fun creating it!

I created an oval window from a panel of Basic White cardstock using one of the oval dies from the Framed Florets Dies set. From a strip of masking paper wider than the oval window panel, I used my paper snips to cut gentle curves, or “waves”, across the strip. I then used a blending brush to blend Pool Party ink across the edge of the masking paper. The masking paper was repositioned and ink was blended along the edge of the masking paper and I repeated this process until I had “waves” across the entire panel. The Pool Party ink blending is subtle but adds a nice touch to the background of the card!

Using the bubble stamp from the Sea Turtle Stamp Set, I second-generation stamped bubbles across a panel of the By the Bay designer series paper. The print on the paper is in Balmy Blue and Mint Macaron and looks like water. I used the fish stamp from the Sea Turtle Stamp set to stamp a school of fish onto the designer series paper in Night of Navy ink and I also stamped the sea grass image from the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set in Evening Evergreen ink – being mindful to make sure these images would be visible through the oval window. The stamped designer series paper was adhered to the back of the oval window panel and this unit was adhered to the card front.

A sentiment was stamped from the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set in Night of Navy ink onto a sentiment label in Mint Macaron. The sentiment was stamped to the right of the label. The label was adhered to a mat in Night of Navy. I stamped and fussy cut a small sea turtle, a large seashell and a large and small star fish. The seashell was adhered to the left edge of the sentiment label and the label/seashell unit was adhered to the bottom of the oval window using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The star fish were adhered just below the seashell using a combination of glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals. The small turtle was adhered towards the top of the oval window using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the same piece of masking paper to ink blend a few waves on the inside panel. The star fish were stamped over the waves using Crumb Cake ink and the panel was adhered to the inside of the card.

The envelope front was also ink blended with “waves” and I stamped the same star fish over the waves. I adhered a coordinating piece of designer series paper to the envelope flap and trimmed the excess paper away from the flap to finish off the envelope.

On the card front I added several blue Pastel Adhesive-backed Sequins and I used Wink of Stella to add some sparkle to the turtle, seashell and star fish.

I hope you enjoyed my card for today and that I have inspired you to create your own sea themed card!

I know you will see a lot of inspiration from my team members in the Hop today so be sure to use the links at the bottom of this blog post to check them out! Let’s go!

My card today celebrates Spring with some gorgeous flowers from the Dainty Delight Stamp Set and Dainty Delight Dies! I also used some of the pretty Regency Park 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper to compliment this spring-themed card. Did you know that wildflowers are among some of the first flowers to bloom in the Spring? It’s true!

I started off by adhering a piece of Regency Park Designer Series Paper in a Petal Pink basket weave print to my card base in Sweet Sorbet.

Two of the wildflower images from the Dainty Delight Stamp Set were stamped onto a white panel using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I varied the height of the flowers across the panel. I then used Stampin’ Blends in Petal Pink, Sweet Sorbet and Granny Apple Green to color in the images. The panel was adhered to a mat in Sweet Sorbet and this unit was adhered to the card front. The panel was centered left to right horizontally but was dropped towards the bottom vertically.

I used the large and small label dies from the Something Fancy Dies set to cut out labels in Sweet Sorbet and Basic white, respectively. I stamped the sentiment onto the white label and adhered this label to its Sweet Sorbet mat. While I was die cutting, I cut two of the Queen Anne’s Lace flowers from scraps of Petal Pink cardstock and used a small scrap of the designer series paper to cut out a large, medium and small flower. The Queen Anne’s Lace flowers were adhered to the stamped panel and I trimmed the stems down so that they were flush with the bottom of the white, stamped panel. The designer series paper flowers were adhered to either side of the sentiment label.

I adhered a length of burlap ribbon across the top of the stamped panel then adhered the sentiment label over top of the ribbon strip. The sentiment label overlaps the top of the stamped panel.

On the inside panel I stamped the Queen Anne’s Lace image and colored the image in using Stampin’ Blends. The panel was adhered to a mat in Petal Pink then this unit was adhered to the inside of the card.

The same Queen Anne’s Lace flower image was stamped onto the envelope front and colored in. A piece of coordinating designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap.

To finish off the card I added Iridescent Pastel Gems to each of the small flowers decorating the sentiment label and added a few additional gems among the stamped flowers on the card front.
