Stampin’ Up! Soft Seedlings Thinking of You Card

Most of the cards that I’ll be blogging about this week use simple stamping techniques which allow you to complete cards quickly! This is not my usual style…but I love the simplicity of simple stamping. Can you believe that none of my cards this week include die cutting? I know…hard to believe!

Today’s card is a CAS. One of my team members, Susan L. with Stampin2Die4.com, recently shared her version of this card in a Facebook group and I thought the card was so lovely I had to share it with you! Thank you for the inspiration, Susan!

The card was created using the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set and three ink colors – So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, and Cherry Cobbler. This card comes together quickly, and the vibrant colors make a huge statement!

I began by stamping the maple leaf image from the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set in So Saffron, stamping the image around the upper 2/3 of the card edges. Next, the same image was stamped around the perimeter using Pumpkin Pie ink and I focused on allowing some of the So Saffron stamped leaves to show. The same leaf image was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink, allowing some of the Pumpkin Pie leaves to show through.

A sentiment was stamped onto the front panel and the panel was matted to a piece of So Saffron cardstock. Linen thread was wrapped around the upper portion of this panel twice and the unit was adhered to the card front. A triple bow in linen thread was added to the card along with several amber gems from the Leaf Label and Amber Gem Combo Pack.

The same stamping technique was used to complete the inside panel and an additional greeting was added as well. The inside panel was also matted to a piece of So Saffron cardstock and adhered to the inside of the card.

The envelope received the same stamping technique on the front and envelope flap to finish off the card.

Stampin’ Up! All Bundled Up Christmas Card

The animal images from the All Bundled Up Stamp Set are absolutely adorable and will be sure to make your card recipient smile! For today’s card I stamped this cute raccoon onto a piece of white cardstock and used Stampin’ Blends to color in the image.

I used a panel of the Festive Foils 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper onto a card base in Cherry Cobbler and added a Wonderful Snowflake to the center of the card front. The raccoon image was die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies set and added to the lower right of the card front. A sentiment was added to a strip of white cardstock and matted with a piece of Cherry Cobbler. The sentiment was added to the top of the card front at an angle. I used several loops of Simply Elegant Trim and tucked the trim slightly under the sentiment label at the top.

The inside of the card was stamped with an additional sentiment from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set along with several snowflakes from the All Bundled Up Stamp Set.

The envelope front was decorated with several of the snowflake images and a piece of coordinating Festive Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper was added to the envelope flap.

You might overlook the All Bundled Up Stamp Set in the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog, but I encourage you to give it a second look! The images are absolutely precious and can be used for more than Christmas cards and are suitable for young and old alike!

Upcoming, Temporary Closure for the North American Distribution Center

Stampin’ Up! has been working hard behind the scenes to get a new warehouse management system ready for 2023. Planning and testing is ongoing. This includes detailed testing on Friday, 28 October. As a result, the Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Up! Fitting Florets Birthday Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and that means it is time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I can’t wait to see what my team members have created this week! We have a sketch challenge for the Hop today.

I couldn’t help myself! I pulled out the Framed Florets Bundle and the gorgeous Fitting Florets 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper to create a birthday card for today’s blog hop. Here it is.

I started off with a card base in Night of Navy. A panel from the beautiful Fitting Florets 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper in a Soft Succulent print was added to a mat of Gold Foil and this was added to the card front. The two-flower image from the Framed Florets Stamp Set was stamped onto a piece of Basic White cardstock using Memento ink and colored in with Stampin’ Blends in Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, Soft Succulent and So Saffron. These colors work so well together! The flowers were die cut using the coordinating die from the Framed Florets Dies set.

Several leaves and florets were die cut using Gold Foil and Night of Navy cardstock. These components were arranged around a die cut circle of Evening Evergreen topped with a circle using the Soft Succulent print from the Fitting Florets 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. The circle unit was added to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The die cut flowers were also added to the circle using a combination of Stampin’ Dimensionals and liquid adhesive. While the ovals provided in the Framed Florets Dies set are gorgeous, the die cut flowers and leaves look equally amazing around the circle focal point.

I stamped the sentiment onto a Night of Navy sentiment label using Versamark ink then dusted gold embossing powder over the sentiment and heat set using my heat tool. The sentiment label was matted to a piece of Gold Foil and adhered to the lower portion of the circle unit on the card front.

An additional sentiment was stamped onto the inside panel in Night of Navy ink, and I stamped the multi-leaf image in the upper left and lower right of this panel, also using Night of Navy ink. This same image was stamped onto the envelope front. The inside panel was adhered to a mat in Gold Foil and then adhered to the inside of the card.

To finish off the card I added a piece of coordinating designer series paper to the envelope flap and trimmed around the flap to finish off the envelope.

I hope you like my card for today. I think the gold touches against the Night of Navy, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen really add a touch of elegance!

Stampin’ Up! Brightest Glow Z Fold Christmas Card

There is something about the color combination on this card that says elegance! The richness of the beautiful Cherry Cobbler Lights Aglow 6″ x 6″ Specialty Designer Series Paper with the gold snowflake and Very Vanilla accents are beautiful together! The Z Fold provides a great way to showcase the beautiful designer series paper, too!

This card consists of two card bases in Cherry Cobbler with panels in Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla. Satin Edged Ribbon was adhered to the card front in a “Z” shape and a die cut snowflake from Gold Foil was die cut from the Twinkling Light Dies and added to the card front. A sentiment from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set was stamped onto a piece of Very Vanilla, matted to a piece of the Cherry Cobbler DSP and adhered over the snowflake.

An additional sentiment was stamped onto one of the inside panels and the middle panel provides a place to write a personal sentiment. The envelope was adorned with a coordinating piece of designer series paper.

Stampin’ Up! Ho Ho Ho – October Paper Pumpkin Kit

My October Paper Pumpkin kit arrived several days ago, and I had a chance this weekend to sit down to assemble the cards in the kit. The kit included everything needed to make a total of nine cards – three each of three different designs.

Notice a theme? The October Paper Pumpkin Kit is called Ho Ho Ho! Santa is the main theme here!

My kit contained card bases and coordinating envelopes, ink, stamps, background panels, punch out cardstock pieces, sentiment labels, adhesives, embellishments and instructions to complete each card design! I had a lot of fun putting my cards together!

Stampin’ Up! Elephant Parade Welcome Baby Card

The Elephant Parade Stamp Set and Elephant Dies were used to create this sweet Welcome Baby card! I also used some of the Gingham Cottage 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper along with an additional sentiment from the Garden Birdhouses Stamp Set.

I started off with a piece of the Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper and adhered this to a So Saffron card base. The Deckled Rectangles Dies were used to cut a mat in Granny Apple Green and a panel in Basic White. Memento ink was used to stamp the elephant, mouse, butterfly, balloon, and leaves onto scraps of Basic White cardstock and the images were colored in using Stampin’ Blends.

A blending brush was used to blend Balmy Blue ink on the white panel for the sky and Granny Apple Green ink for the grass. The die cut pieces were arranged and adhered to the panel and a sentiment label was added to the card front.

On the inside panel, the “Welcome” sentiment from the Garden Birdhouses Stamp Set was stamped in Granny Apple Green and the sentiment “sweet little one” was stamped below the “Welcome”. Additional leaves were stamped and colored along the bottom of the panel and the panel was adhered to the inside of the card.

A small piece of black Baker’s Twine was knotted and adhered to the balloon tie and a few Matte Black Dots were added on either side of the sentiment label. A piece of coordinating designer series paper was added to the envelope flap and I cut around the flap to finish off the envelope.

The Elephant Parade Stamp Set and Dies create adorable cards and the stamp set also includes sentiments for a thank you or friendship card as well. This bundle is just too cute!

Stampin’ Up! Thanksgiving Card Using the Aspen Tree Dies

I used a variety of products to create this warm and festive Thanksgiving card. Die cut leaves from the Aspen Tree Dies adorn the card front as well as paper from the Metallic & Shimmer 6″ x 6″ Specialty Paper pack. A mask from the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks was used to create the card front background. A sentiment from the Painted Pheasant Stamp Set was used for the sentiment.

As mentioned, the background was created using a mask from the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks and I blended Pumpkin Pie ink over a Pumpkin Pie card base using the square grid mask. I’ve never used these masks before and it was a lot of fun seeing the pattern created once I lifted the mask!

A strip of the Metallic & Shimmer Special Paper was added down the center of the card front and matted with a piece of Early Espresso cardstock. I added three leaves to the card front which were cut from the Aspen Tree Dies – two using the Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper and one from the Metallic & Shimmer Specialty Paper. A length of Baker’s twine was colored using a Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blend and I tied a bow and added it to the center leaf on the card front.

I used the “Happy Thanksgiving” stamp from the Painted Pheasant Stamp Set for the sentiment and matted the label twice using Early Espresso cardstock and a piece of the Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper.

The inside of the card features a strip of coordinating Metallic & Shimmer Specialty Paper and a smaller leaf which was die cut from the Aspen Tree Dies. The envelope flap was decorated with a piece of the Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper in So Saffron.

I really enjoyed using the masking technique on this card and using the Metallic & Shimmer Specialty Paper. The colors on this card are warm and inviting and definitely say “Fall” and “Thanksgiving”!

Merriest Moments Slimline Christmas Card

It’s Thursday and time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I can’t wait to see all of the creative goodies in this week’s Hop! We have a 5-color challenge this week and we had to pick at least 3 of the colors for our card. I used Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow and Garden Green on my card today.

I decided to create a slimline Christmas Card using the Merriest Moments Stamp Set, Merriest Frames Dies and the beautiful Boughs of Holly 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. I think the jeweled flower centers and ribbon add a fun and festive touch to this holiday card!

I started off with a card base in Cherry Cobbler and added a piece of the Boughs of Holly 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper matted to a piece of white to the card front. I stamped several of the poinsettia flowers onto Real Red cardstock using Real Red ink. I also stamped the small greenery image in Garden Green ink onto Garden Green cardstock and die cut all of the pieces.

I cut three white squares and three Mossy Meadow square mats next, and assembled the poinsettias and adhered them to two of the squares. The third square was reserved for stamping the sentiment in Mossy Meadow.

The center of the card, both vertically and horizontally, was established and a piece of Garden Green ribbon was adhered to the card front using Tear & Tape. The three matted squares were then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A small bow in Garden Green was added to the top of the sentiment label. A Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend was used to color seven small Basic Rhinestone Jewels. Three of the colored rhinestones were added to each of the poinsettia centers and the seventh jewel was added to the center of the sentiment label.

An additional sentiment was stamped onto the inside card panel and the small greenery sprig was stamped onto the lower right and upper left of the panel and the panel was adhered to the inside of the card. The same greenery sprig was stamped onto the envelope front and a piece of coordinating designer series paper was added to the envelope flap to complete the card.

Stampin’ Up! Sneak Peek! Fitting Florets Tri-Fold Accordion Christmas Card

Here is a sneak peek of the Fitting Florets Collection which will be available for customer orders on November 1. This collection is quickly becoming a favorite of demonstrators and I know our customers are going to love it! For today’s card I used the Framed Florets Stamp Set, Framed Florets Dies, Fitting Florets 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and the Framed & Festive Stamp Set.

I used a Tri-Fold Accordion Fun Fold that I found on a video put out by Tina Zinck with The Serene Stamper a few years ago. I made a modification on the card base size for my card. This card can be put together in a number of different ways and can even serve as a gift card holder so it’s very versatile!

I chose a card base in Soft Succulent and picked a pretty print from the Fitting Florets 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper in Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and white to cover three of the four panels on the card.

I die cut the large, ornate frame from the Framed Florets Dies set in Basic White. I also die cut two of the large sprigs in white and two small open flowers in Soft Succulent.

A portion of the ornate frame was adhered to the first and second panel of the card front, and I stamped the sentiment from the Framed & Festive Stamp Set was stamped onto the oval insert to the frame and adhered as well. The sprigs and leaves were arranged on the left side of the frame and adhered to the card front. A double bow using White Crinkle Ribbon was adhered to the left side of the frame and a Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirl was added to the card front.

An additional sentiment from the Framed & Festive Stamp Set was stamped onto the inside panel. The small leaf image from the Framed Florets Stamp Set was stamped into all four corners of this panel and colored in using a Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blend. I then adhered this panel to the inside of the card.

The envelope was decorated with the same leaf image and colored in, and a piece of coordinating designer series paper was added to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Perched In A Tree Holiday Card

The Perched In A Tree Stamp Set and the Aspen Tree Dies were used to create today’s card along with a watercolor panel as the backdrop. I love this pretty little bird and the die cut aspen leaves are amazing cut from Distressed Gold 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper!

I started by creating the watercolor panel using Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. A wet-in-wet watercolor technique was used to create the background in Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody and Balmy Blue inks. Because this is a background panel, I simply dropped in the inks on the wet watercolor surface.

The large oval tree die was die cut and I lightly blended some Smoky Slate along the edges of the tree trunks to add some interest to the trunks. This die cut panel was then adhered to the watercolor background.

Several leaves were cut using the dies from the Aspen Tree Dies set in Distressed Gold 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper and the bird was stamped onto Basic White cardstock in Smoky Slate ink then colored in using Stampin’ Blends in Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate and Petal Pink. A Stampin’ Write black marker was used to color in the bird’s eye and beak. I also stamped and die cut a tree trunk. The pieces were arranged and adhered to the card front along with a sentiment label.

An additional sentiment was added to the inside panel then this panel was adhered to a mat in Old Olive and this unit was adhered to the inside of the card. The envelope was decorated using the “watercolor” and “dotted” stamps from the Perched In A Tree Stamp Set. The card was finished off with a few blue Glossy Dots.

I had so much fun playing with this stamp and die set and I think it makes for a very pretty card. Although I’m calling this a “holiday” card, it could easily serve as a friendship or thinking of you card also. You can find the Perched In A Tree Bundle on Page 46 of the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. This is definitely a bundle that you’ll want to add to your stash!
