Stampin’ Up! Rustic Harvest Friendship Card

I have another Fall themed card for you today. I used stamps from the Hello Harvest stamp set but this time I paired the images with the beautiful Rustic Harvest 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper.

The reverse images of the Rustic Harvest DSP, or the “B” side as I like to call it, are patterns in black and white. One of these patterns are of leaves. I used a variety of Stampin’ Blends to color in the images of the leaves on this DSP which makes for a beautiful background for the card front.

The card sits on a Crumb Cake base, the colored DSP was added, then a strip of coordinating DSP was added on top of that. The leaf image from the Hello Harvest Stamp Set was stamped onto a piece of basic white cardstock, as was the sentiment, then I used a sponge dauber and Crumb Cake ink to antique the edges of these stamped images. The single leaf, stamped in Cajun Craze, and the sentiment label were matted and added to the card front. A double linen bow finishes off the card. A piece of coordinating and colored DSP was added to the envelope flap and the leaf image was stamped on the inside panel several times as well as the envelope front.

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints Birthday Card

Today’s card uses just three colors – black, white and Tahitian Tide, to make a bold statement for this quick and easy card.

I created a circle template using the largest die from the Layering Circles Dies and used this template to blend Tahitian Tide ink on the front card panel. Partial circles were also ink blended for the inside panel as well as the envelope front and envelope flap. I then added the Ginko image from the Nature’s Prints Stamp Set for all of the circles using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

The sentiments on the card front came from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set…I just love the font on these sentiments!

Black Baker’s Twine was wrapped around the front panel vertically, then this panel was matted with a piece of Tahitian Tide and popped up on the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Three blue Glossy Dots following the bottom of the circle finish off the card.

Stampin’ Up! Hello Harvest Friendship Card

Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year! I enjoy the rich colors of autumn and everything that goes along with this time of year – the falling leaves, pumpkin spice, and cool, crisp days! What’s your favorite thing about autumn? Let me know in the comments below!

Today’s card is a sneak peek and quick and simple to make using the Hello Harvest Stamp Set and Rustic Pumpkin Dies. These items will be available in the new July-December Mini Catalog in just a few days…yay!

I started with a Cherry Cobbler card base and stamped the leaf image from the Hello Harvest Stamp Set in the same color to create a subtle tone-on-tone background for the card front. I cut the large and small textured pumpkins in Pumpkin Pie cardstock using the Rustic Pumpkin Dies and added a pumpkin stump and vines in Mossy Meadow. The dies for the pumpkins are textured and beautiful!

A piece of Natural Finish Ribbon was placed on the card front diagonally and the pumpkin was placed over the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A sentiment from the stamp set was used and stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink on white cardstock with a mat of Mossy Meadow and adhered to the card. The leaf image was second-generation stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink on the inside panel as well as the envelope front and envelope flap to complete the card.

Stampin’ Up! Amazing Silhouettes Thank You Card

This simple but elegant card uses only two colors – white and Orchid Oasis!

An embossed double frame was created around the white panel using the scoring blade on a paper trimmer. The “thanks” sentiment was die cut and popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The butterfly image was colored in with Wink of Stella to give it a little sparkle.

The butterfly image was added to the inside card panel as well as the envelope front and envelope flap…with Wink of Stella added to these images, too! A metallic woven ribbon bow was added to the card front to finish off the card.

It doesn’t get any simpler than this for an easy card ready to send out!

Happy Friday! I can’t believe another week has flown by!

I received my June 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit – Pick of the Crop – and wanted to share it with you. It is adorable! I took about an hour to assemble the cards in the kit – 9 total of 3 different designs. If you’re a new crafter, or an experienced crafter, Paper Pumpkin is such a great option.

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Barn Stamp Set Not Just for Christmas!

The Christmas Barn Stamp Set is not just for Christmas! For today’s card I paired the barn from this set with the Grassy Grove Stamp Set and Grove Dies to create this summer themed card. The Christmas Barn Stamp Set will be available for ordering on July 1…so very soon! The barn from the Christmas Barn Stamp Set makes a perfect backdrop for the Grassy Grove frame making this a flexible stamp set suitable for more than one season. I can picture this barn surrounded by fall colored trees as another option!

I started with a Basic White panel and stamped the barn in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I used Stampin’ Blends to color the barn, surrounding lawn and the sky. For the barn I used a combination of Cherry Cobler and Smokey Slate Stampin’ Blends, then came back in with a black Stampin’ Write marker to darken the window openings and give definition to the doors. I used a combination of Balmy Blue and Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends for the sky. The barn panel was cut slightly smaller than the die cut frame from the Grove Dies and adhered to the Grove frame.

For coloring the Grove frame, I used every green Stampin’ Blend that I own! The trees on the frame were colored with Stampin’ Blends in Parakeet Party, Granny Apple Green, Mossy Meadow, and Soft Succulent. To color the trees, I started with a base of Parakeet Party and came back in with the darker greens and dotted the colors across the trees, making the leaves of the trees darker towards the center of the frame where shadows would fall. The tree trunks were colored using light and dark shades of Crumb Cake. The grove scene was matted on Basic Black cardstock then adhered to the front of the card.

The Bough Punch was used to cut several flowers and leaves to create a small bouquet that adorns the lower left of the card front, and I added a bow in Parakeet Party and a small sentiment label in Garden Green. Several pine trees and a portion of the fence were stamped on the cards inside panel, as well as the envelope front and envelope flap.

I wanted to illustrate how to use a “seasonal” stamp set for a card that would be suitable for another season…mission accomplished!

Stampin’ Up Celebrate Sunflowers Card

This sunflower in shades of yellow and orange is so cheerful! I used the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set and Sunflowers Dies to create this card and I’ll be giving this to a friend who will be retiring in a few months.

The card base sits on Mango Melody cardstock and I used the Hive 3D Embossing Folder to emboss a panel in Pumpkin Pie. The sunflower was die cut from the Sunflowers Dies using Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry cardstocks. I added a few leaves, looped some linen thread under the sunflower image and added some Rustic Metallic Dots and this completes the card. I stamped the smaller image of the sunflower on the inside of the card panel and added an additional sentiment. The envelope was finished off with a piece of paper from the Tea Boutique DSP in a Crushed Curry cross hatch pattern on the envelope flap, which coordinates nicely.

Painted Pheasant Encouragement Card

If I close my eyes, I can still see the pheasant’s rising up out of the tall grass in the hay field next to my grandparent’s house – flying in short bursts. I loved when I would find a pheasant tail feather in the field, and I was fascinated by the black ringed pattern on the feather. That’s why I purchased this stamp set…for the good memories!

Today’s card uses the Painted Pheasant Stamp Set which will be available on July 1 in the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. I also used the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set (Annual Catalog) as well as the beautiful Pretty Prints Designer Series Paper.

The card sits on a Cajun Craze base. I stamped and colored the pheasant using a variety of Stampin’ Blends then fussy cut the image out and adhered the pheasant to the layered circles. The circle background behind the pheasant was stamped using the “tree top” from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set in Evening Evergreen to resemble bushes and I blended Balmy Blue on this circle to resemble the sky. If you’re curious as to the coloring of a pheasant, just search on Google for images of pheasants. The panels on this card are adorned with the beautiful Pretty Prints DSP in evening evergreen.

Stampin’ Up Hippest Hippos are Back! At Sea!

Our adorable Hippo is back…but he’s at sea riding the waves! Like last week’s card I used the Hippest Hippos Stamp Set and Hippo Dies to create this card along with paper from the Tea Boutique DSP and Fabulous Frames Dies. You’ll be able to earn the Hippest Hippos Stamp Set and Hippo Dies during Sale-A-Bration which kicks off on July 1!

This adorable Hippo is sitting in a red boat, complete with a propellor and life preserver riding a blue wave. I used the Tea Boutique DSP in a red flower pattern as the mat for the card front. A white frame surrounds the Hippo scene. This was a quick card to make – some die cutting and basic coloring with Stampin’ Blends complete the card!

Stampin’ Up! Tree Lot Dies and Beauty of Friendship – Father’s Day Card

Happy Friday! Another week has flown by, and summer is in full swing! I thought today’s card was appropriate for a summer day!

Here is another sneak peek of a Sale-A-Bration item.  I used the adorable Tree Lot Dies along with the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set to create this Father’s Day card.  You can earn the Tree Lot Dies during Sale-A-Bration which begins on July 1, 2022 with an order of $100.  The Tree Lot Dies set coordinates with the Trees for Sale Stamp Set which will be included in the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. 

I started with a panel of Shimmery White cardstock and used Tahitian Tide and Granny Apple Green inks to watercolor the background for the card scene. The Beauty of Friendship stamps were used to stamp two trees onto the background, as well as the inside of the card and envelope front. I die cut all of the pieces needed from the Tree Lot Dies set to complete the card front. Of course, you can choose what colors you use based on your available cardstock scraps! The Celebrating You Stamp Set was used for the sentiment.

A scrap piece of cardstock was adhered to the back of the trailer die cut over the windows so that I could glue the yellow round and rectangular windows in. I assembled the trees and began adhering the pieces to the panel. The scene was then adhered to an Evening Evergreen mat, then this unit was adhered to the card front.

I made this card into a Father’s Day card, but this would make a great masculine card or for anyone who enjoys the great outdoors!

I can’t hardly wait for you to see the Sale-A-Bration catalog and July-December Mini Catalog! Both of these catalogs will be available for customer viewing and orders on July 1, 2022.
