Stampin’ Up! Textured Floral Birthday Card in Blues

Today’s card was created using the Textured Floral Bundle along with some of the pretty Fresh As A Daisy 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. The Boho Blue designer series paper background, combined with the Azure Afternoon flowers and touch of Night of Navy greenery blend well together!

I started off by stamping the flowers in Azure Afternoon ink. The flower center for the large flower was stamped in Night of Navy and I die cut the center for the small flower from Night of Navy Soft Shimmer Specialty Paper. Leaves were stamped in Garden Green and I used the coordinating dies from the Textured Floral Dies set to cut out these images. I also die cut a greenery sprig from Garden Green cardstock and two sprigs from Night of Navy Soft Shimmer paper.

I used the second to largest die from the Countryside Corners Dies to cut out an octagon in Basic White. The birthday sentiment was stamped onto a white sentiment label and matted to a piece of Night of Navy Soft Shimmer paper.

All of the stamped and die cut flowers, leaves and greenery were arranged and adhered to the octagon, leaving space at the bottom of the octagon for the sentiment label. I adhered the arrangement to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and the sentiment label was adhered slightly overlapping the bottom of the octagon using a combination of Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Glue Dots.

The inside panel was decorated with the small flower stamped in Azure Afternoon. The flower center was stamped in Night of Navy.

The envelope front was adorned with the same small flower image, and I adhered a piece of coordinating designer series paper to the envelope flap and trimmed the excess paper away from the flap. Blue Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins were added to the card front along with a small double bow tied from white Baker’s Twine to complete the card!

Stampin’ Up! Crafting With You Sending Hugs Card

The Crafting With You Bundle helps you to create adorable cards for your crafting friends who knit, crochet, paint, sew or paper craft! The set includes images such as this basket, yarn and spools of thread in addition to a sewing machine, buttons, paint brushes, an easel, embossing machine and paper trimmer!

I started off by using the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder to emboss a Balmy Blue panel. I then wrapped Linen Thread around the upper third of the panel then adhered the panel to a Lemon Lolly mat. This was then adhered to a Crumb Cake cardbase. I then stamped the basket and yarn image and used the coordinating dies from the Crafting With You Dies to cut out the images. I also die cut several spools and thread along with a ruler. These images were adhered toward the bottom of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and liquid glue.

Two sentiment labels were die cut using the Something Fancy Dies – a smaller label in Lemon Lolly and a larger label in Pecan Pie. I stamped the sentiment onto the Lemon Lolly label then adhered it to the larger Pecan Pie label. The sentiment label was then adhered over top of the wrapped Linen Thread and positioned to the left of the card front. A large double bow was tied with Linen Thread and adhered to the right side of the sentiment label using a Mini Glue Dot. The bow was tucked slightly under the label.

I die cut the scissor image twice – once from Basic Black cardstock and once from Silver Foil. I cut the scissor points apart from the Silver Foil set and adhered the scissor points to the black scissors using glue. A silver Festive Pearl was adhered to the scissors just above the blades. How realistic are these scissors? The scissors were adhered to the upper right of the sentiment label at an angle.

For the inside panel I stamped the basket in Pecan Pie ink and used a Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blend to add a little shadow to the basket side and bottom. I placed a Post It Note across the top edge of the basket and second-generation stamped the yarn image then used a variety of Stampin’ Blends to color in the image. An additional sentiment was stamped onto the panel and then the panel was adhered to a mat in Lemon Lolly then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same basket and yarn images were stamped onto the envelop front and colored in using Stampin’ Blends. I adhered a piece of Pecan Pie Glorious Gingham Designer Series Paper to the envelope flap and trimmed the excess paper away from the flap. Several Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems were added to the card front to finish off the card.

I really enjoyed creating this card! I plan on giving this particular card to a crafting neighbor of mine…I think she will really like it! You can download, save and print the pdf tutorial for this card by clicking on the image below.

Stampin’ Up! Perfect Pomegranate Birthday Card

It’s Friday and I have a Friday Fun Day project for you – an easy Z Fold card featuring the Perfect Pomegranate Stamp Set and the Wonderful World 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper!

The Perfect Pomegranate Stamp Set is an exclusive host stamp set that you can earn during Sale-A-Bration by hosting a party of $300+ (either party sales or personal sales). The Wonderful World Designer Series Paper is bundled with the Wonderful World Stamp Set and is also a Sale-A-Bration item which you can earn for free with a qualifying order. Only the Wonderful World Designer Series Paper was used from the bundle.

This fun Z Fold sits on a Cherry Cobbler card base and the right and left panels of the card front are adorned with the Wonderful World paper after adhering the paper to Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler mats. The center panel was stamped with images from the Perfect Pomegranate Stamp Set in Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler inks, then matted and adhered to the left front of the card.

The sentiment was stamped onto a thin piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and matted with a coordinating piece of the DSP, then adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the center panel at an angle. I used Gold and Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon to tie a small bow and adhered the bow to the left side of the sentiment label. Several gold Festive Pearls were also added to the center panel.

For the inside of the card I second-generation stamped the same images onto a Very Vanilla panel, then stamped an additional sentiment over the stamped images.

A coordinating piece of DSP was adhered to the envelope flap and fussy cut around the flap. Leaves were stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on the envelope front.

The images from the Perfect Pomegranate Stamp Set combined with the pretty Wonderful World Designer Series Paper make for a pretty birthday card but this design would also be suitable for an anniversary, get well or sympathy card also.

Stampin’ Up Celebrate Sunflowers Card

This sunflower in shades of yellow and orange is so cheerful! I used the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set and Sunflowers Dies to create this card and I’ll be giving this to a friend who will be retiring in a few months.

The card base sits on Mango Melody cardstock and I used the Hive 3D Embossing Folder to emboss a panel in Pumpkin Pie. The sunflower was die cut from the Sunflowers Dies using Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry cardstocks. I added a few leaves, looped some linen thread under the sunflower image and added some Rustic Metallic Dots and this completes the card. I stamped the smaller image of the sunflower on the inside of the card panel and added an additional sentiment. The envelope was finished off with a piece of paper from the Tea Boutique DSP in a Crushed Curry cross hatch pattern on the envelope flap, which coordinates nicely.
