It’s Thursday and you know what that means…it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Are you ready to hop around and see some great projects?
I created my card for today using the Two-Tone Flora Bundle, and the Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper.

We have a theme challenge for today’s Hop. The theme is “Love”! What says “Love” more than a Valentine’s Day card!

If you’re hopping over from Terry Lynn’s blog…thanks for stopping by!
I started off with a card base in Night of Navy. This is a top fold card. I used the large, intricate die from the Two-Tone Flora Dies set to cut a piece of the Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper in an all-over Balmy Blue, Orchid Oasis, and Pool Party pattern. This panel was cut to 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8 and the die was centered over the panel. I love the variegated look once this panel was die cut! The panel was then adhered to the front of the card base.

Using the leaf image from the Two-Tone Flora Stamp Set, I stamped the image twice onto a scrap piece of Orchid Oasis cardstock then used the coordinating dies from the Two-Tone Flora Dies set to cut the images out. On a scrap piece of white cardstock, I used the two-step stamps for the largest flower image and stamped the detailed image in Orchid Oasis ink and the filler image using Pool Party ink. I then used the coordinating die from the Two-Tone Flora Stamp Set to cut out this image.
Using additional pieces of white cardstock, I used the Layering Circles Dies to cut out two circles – one using the 2nd to smallest circle die and one using the 2nd to largest circle die. The sentiment “With Love” was stamped onto the smallest circle. The die cut flower and leaf sprigs were arranged on the larger circle. Both circle units were arranged onto the card front. The flower image was placed on the lower left of the card and the sentiment to the upper right.

Using the Country Bouquet Stamp Set, I stamped the sentiment “Happy Valentine’s Day” onto the inside panel using Orchid Oasis ink. The two-step large flower was stamped onto the lower left corner of this panel – again, using Orchid Oasis and Pool Party inks. I then stamped just the background image for the flower onto a Post It Note, then fussy cut around the background image to create a mask. I then placed the mask onto the stamped flower on the panel and stamped the leaf image in Orchid Oasis ink on each side of the flower. The mask was removed, and I adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

Two short lengths of Pool Party Grosgrain Ribbon were tied together to form a knot. I then trimmed the ribbon ends laying on top shorter than those below and all ribbon ends were trimmed at an angle. The ribbon was adhered to the card front using a Mini Glue Dot and placed just below the flower. An Orchid Oasis Stampin’ Blend was used to color several Rhinestone Basic Jewels and the rhinestones were placed around the card front.

I hope you enjoyed my card for today! If you would like to recreate this card you can download, save and print a pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below.
