Happy Friday everyone! I’m super excited to share today’s projects with you! Yes, plural…as in two projects!
It’s Friday Fun Day! Today’s project is a lovely gift box. But not just any gift box. This box contains a bonus project! Inside the box is a set of 6 cards and envelopes ready for gifting. This gift box set would make a fantastic gift for anyone that likes to send cards or would make a fantastic Mother’s Day gift. All the recipient has to do is add their personal message, address the envelope and mail! Included are Thinking of You cards, a Birthday card, and a Thank You card. The cards are color coordinated with their envelopes (the inside of the cards are decorated, too!) and contain two each of three colors – Gray Granite, Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral.
I chose to highlight the Happiness Abounds Suite of products for the gift box and the Sun Prints Suite for the greeting cards, in addition to the Pretty Prints DSP but you can coordinate the box with the cards from a single suite of products if you would like. Did you know that the new Pretty Prints DSP coordinates with the Sun Prints Suite? I absolutely love both of these suites and wanted to share them with you!
The Happiness Abounds Suite, Sun Prints Suite and the Pretty Prints Designer Series Paper will be available for ordering next week, May 3. I’m so excited for you to see these products for yourself. You’re going to fall in love with all the new goodies. I sure have!
You can access today’s project sheet, along with the bonus project instructions, by clicking on the icon below.
Wishing you a wonderful day and enjoyable weekend! I think I need to get moving on garden projects this weekend…our grow season starts in two weeks! What are you getting into this weekend?
Products used in today’s project that are available for purchase now are included below.
I’m calling this card “Songbirds in the Wild” because of the wild background! As mentioned earlier in the week, I tried two different techniques on vellum – an ink blending technique, and on today’s card a rubbing alcohol technique. What do you think?
I used all five of the new 2022-2024 In Colors on this vellum background to highlight these colors, so the result is a very intense looking background. When debating how to design around this background, the only answer was to use the Sweet Songbirds bundle to tame the wild! I rather like all of the bright, cheerful colors.
The vellum background has somewhat of a bokeh effect and was created by using Stampin’ Blend markers (which are alcohol markers) to scribble color onto the vellum surface. Using a small watercolor brush, drops of rubbing alcohol were dripped onto the surface to create the blending and spreading of colors. I’m looking forward to trying this technique out again in more muted colors. I’m thinking you can get some really lovely results!

Have a wonderful day – bee happy!

The Westies…Mom’s Little Helpers
I had a request to share photos of our two Westies – Maezie and Mackenzie. These are for you, Faith!
Maezie is our youngest Westie and quite mischievous! Mackenzie is a little on the shy side. Both are very loveable and rule the household!
Here’s Maezie…look at that face!
And here’s the two of them…Mom’s little helpers! Mackenzie is on the left and Maezie is on the right. What characters!
The products used in today’s card that are available now for purchase are included below. All other products used from the new Annual Catalog will be available for purchase beginning on May 3.
This double box fancy fold card really caught my eye! This is a CAS card from blogger Gail Ellis at Blue Rose Paper Treasures. I have linked to Gail’s original blog post on my linked project sheet below. The card consists of two box card bases and I used the Nature’s Prints and Honeybee Home bundles along with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder to create the card. The Honeybee Home bundle is available now for ordering and the Nature’s Prints Suite (which includes the Fern 3D Embossing Folder) will be available for customer orders next week – beginning May 3!
I really enjoyed creating this card and the embossed panels and floral images are just beautiful! You can view, download and print the project sheet for this card by clicking on the icon below. I hope you enjoy recreating this card as much as I did!

I don’t usually work with vellum, so I created two vellum panels using different techniques to see what I could come up with. I shared the two panels recently on my Facebook Page to ask viewers which panel they preferred. The replies were a mixed result. I’m using the blended ink panel today in my project and you’ll see the other vellum panel later in the week (it’s wild!).
After creating the ink blended vellum panel, I stamped directly onto the panel using images from the Botanical Layers stamp set…with surprising results! I was impressed with how the Parakeet Party ink popped on the blended panel! I’m not sure if you can get a good look from the photo, but the result was really interesting looking…in a good way.
What do you see when you look at the above image? Do you see a garden at night, or do you see an underwater scene? I was going for the garden look but when I showed the card to my husband he saw an underwater scene. As they say, “it’s all in the eye of the beholder.”
Most of the products used to make this card will be available for customer orders beginning on May 3, 2022…yay! To view, download or print a copy of the project sheet for this card, click on the icon below.

The beautiful roses on this card, as well as the background DSP come from the Hues of Happiness 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. The dies from the Happiness Abounds Bundle include dies that will cut out the rose and leaf images on the DSP! How cool is that?
I chose Starry Sky, Coastal Cabana, Pool Party and white as the colors for today’s card. The “B” side of the DSP from the Hues of Happiness papers are equally beautiful, and I used one of the “B” sides of the paper on my card front. I also used the largest dies from the Blossoming Happiness Dies to cut out a floral pattern on the white panel on the card front, allowing the DSP to show through. It’s subtle, but I think it adds a lot to the look of this card.
The Hues of Happiness Suite Collection (Happiness Abounds stamp set, Blossoming Happiness dies, Hues of Happiness DSP and the Glossy Dots Assortment) are available for customer orders beginning on May 3, 2020! That’s only a week away…yay!

I did not create a card for today…but I did make some cards to share with you…Paper Pumpkin kit cards! Read on for the details!
You might be curious about Paper Pumpkin, which is the monthly kit subscription by Stampin’ Up!. I love creating and inspiring others but sometimes it’s nice to be able to sit down and create something beautiful where all of the guess work has been removed. This is where Paper Pumpkin kits excel! Here are my reasons why I think a Paper Pumpkin subscription is such a great option:
Paper Pumpkin kits come with everything you need to create multiple projects in a short amount of time and step by step instructions are included with each kit. The kits vary from month to month. One month a kit may contain cards and other months a project, such as treat bags or boxes.
You can subscribe to Paper Pumpkin on a month-to-month basis, or subscribe for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months. You control your subscription and if you wish to suspend or restart your subscription you have the ability to do that.
Paper Pumpkin kits arrive around the 20th of each month so there is always something to look forward to!
If you like to get together with friends to craft Paper Pumpkin kits are great for sharing!
I recently received my April Paper Pumpkin kit. Here is a look at the contents of the April Paper Pumpkin kit that I received.
April’s kit contained everything I needed to make three each of three different designed cards with card bases, coordinating envelopes, die cut images, a Stampin’ Spot (ink), a stamp set, and Stampin’ Dimensionals. The first kit you receive from Paper Pumpkin will contain a stamp block and you’ll save this block to use on future kits. You have the choice of completing the cards as per the instructions, or you can get creative and change the card design or project up a little. the choice is yours.
Following the instructions in the April Paper Pumpkin kit, I was able to complete all nine cards in under an hour. April’s kit is “Change is Beautiful” and the cards would be great for anyone going through change – a student graduating from high school or college, or maybe for someone starting a new job. The images are colorful and beautiful, and I now have nine cards ready to send out when needed.
Here’s a photo of each of the three completed card designs.
That’s it in a nutshell. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about Paper Pumpkin…I’d love to chat with you! You can reach me via email at inkybeestampers@gmail.com. If you think you’d like to get started with a Paper Pumpkin subscription, click on the image below to sign up.

I’ll be back tomorrow with a new card project. Until then, stay crafty!
Here’s another sneak peek from the new catalog – the beautiful Nature’s Prints Bundle and the over-the-top gorgeous Sun Prints 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. The major element on this card is the designer series paper…it is so beautiful that it can fully stand on its own. I added a few other design elements but really none are needed other than a sentiment.
This thinking of you card sits on a Starry Sky card base. As I mentioned the DSP is the star of this show, but I did add a few die cut floral sprigs in white, along with a white sentiment label stamped in Starry Sky ink. Starry Sky Metallic Woven Ribbon is tucked under the sentiment and was frayed to give a different look.
I’m thinking that the Nature’s Prints suite of products will be a best seller in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog which launches on May 3…the products are that amazing!
This card was simple and quick to make. You can download instructions by clicking on the icon below.

Here is another sneak peek from the new Annual Catalog – the Sweet Songbirds Bundle which includes the Sweet Songbirds stamp set and Songbirds Builder Punch. How cute is this little bird! I had so much fun playing with this bundle and already have another card idea using this set…I can’t wait to show you. By sharing these sneak peeks, I hope to inspire you to purchase some of the new items from the upcoming catalog. I promise you won’t be disappointed and if you’re like me…you’ll want it all.
Today’s card sits on a Sweet Sorbet card base – one of our new In Colors…and it’s gorgeous! I stamped the branches, leaves and flowers on a white panel, punched the cute little bird using Sweet Sorbet, white and Daffodil Delight cardstock, then used Stampin’ Blends to enhance the shading on the stamped images. The sentiment label on the card uses the wood plank stamp and a greeting from the stamp set and is hanging from a tree branch! I used a sponge dauber to ink in some sky in Balmy Blue and I wasn’t worried about getting the ink completely smooth. This card is meant to be playful so have fun with it!
The new catalog launches on May 3 for customer orders. I’ll be sharing some additional projects using new items from the catalog over the next several weeks so be sure to check back often. You won’t be disappointed. The new catalog is packed with some amazing new items!

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend. Did the Easter Bunny visit your house? Our sons are all grown up but I still put out an Easter Basket with goodies. I miss the days of dying eggs and having an Easter Egg Hunt, though…good memories.
Today’s card uses the Hydrangea Haven Bundle. The die cut hydrangeas are set against the beautiful Flowering Fields DSP on this easel card. I CASE’d this card fold from my teammate, Rose Kean. Thank you, Rosie!
I also used the Stylish Shapes Dies from the new catalog. The Stylish Shapes Dies will be available for ordering by customers on May 3. I think these new dies are going to be one of my favorites as they provide multiple shapes which are perfect for sentiments!
