Stampin’ Up! Adoring Hearts Tri-Fold I Love You Card for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop

It’s time for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop! If you are starting off the Hop from my blog today…Welcome! Our theme for the Hop this month is “Love”, and we can interpret this any way that we’d like. I know you will see a lot of inspiration from my team members in the Hop today so be sure to use the links at the bottom of this blog post to check them out! Let’s go!

I created this card using the lovely Adoring Hearts Bundle along with the beautiful Forever Love 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper and a little Gold Foil. The Adoring Hearts Dies come with a Hybrid Embossing Folder but that folder was not used for this card – only the dies. The card base for this card is cut, scored and folded like a Tri-Fold card, however, one of the front panels is glued down so it becomes more of a Z Fold card. I started with a card base in Very Vanilla cut to 11″ x 5-1/2″ which was scored at 4-1/4″, 7″ and 9-3/4″. The slender panel formed at the 9-3/4″ score line was then adhered to the adjacent panel using liquid glue. Refer to the illustration below.

I selected a trellis print and a leaf print from the Forever Love Specialty Designer Series Paper and adhered panels to Pool Party mats. The panels were then adhered to the card base panels #1, #2 and #4.

Gold Simply Elegant Trim was looped onto the card front and adhered down with a small amount of Stampin’ Seal. On a Very Vanilla sentiment label measuring 2-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ I stamped the large heart and leaf image from the Adoring Hearts Stamp Set in Pool Party ink. The “I adore you” sentiment was then stamped in the center of the heart in Pretty Peacock ink. I adhered the sentiment label to a Gold Foil mat, and the label was then adhered over the looped trim using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment label slightly hangs over the card front so Stampin’ Dimensionals were only applied to the left side of the sentiment label.

I used the three-heart die from the Adoring Hearts Dies to cut out three small hearts from Gold Foil. This die provides three individual hearts plus a negative of the hearts. The three individual small hearts were adhered to the card front – two on the sentiment label and one just above the sentiment label.

On the inside panel, I stamped the large rose image in Pool Party ink towards the top of the panel. An additional sentiment was stamped over the rose image in Pretty Peacock ink. The negative Gold Foil heart die cut was adhered to the bottom of the panel. The panel was then adhered to a Pool Party mat then adhered to the inside on Card Panel #3.

The rose image was partially stamped onto the envelope front and a piece of coordinating specialty designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap with the excess paper trimmed away from the flap.

The pretty images from the Adoring Hearts Bundle and the beautiful Forever Love Specialty Designer Series Paper creates a very elegant card suitable as an “I Love You” card, or a Valentine’s Day card. If you would like to recreate this card you can download, save and print the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below.
