Stampin’ Up! Country Flowers Sending Love Joy Fold Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!

It is Thursday and time again for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! If you are coming from Terry Lynn’s blog or you are starting off with my blog…welcome and thanks for stopping by! We have another fun challenge this week and I know you are going to see lots of inspiration in the Hop!

I created this Joy Fold card using the Country Flowers Bundle, Country Woods Designer Series Paper and the Country Lace Designer Series Paper.

We have a Color Challenge this week. I was able to use all of the colors in the challenge.

This Joy Fold is created from two card bases in Pecan Pie. The larger card base measures 8-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ and is scored at 5-1/2″. The smaller card base measures 8″ x 3″ and is scored at 4″. A Pool Party woodgrain print was selected from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper and I cut two panels. These panels were matted to pieces of Basic Beige cardstock, then adhered to the larger card base (exact measurements are included in the linked pdf tutorial below). A second print in Misty Moonlight was selected from the Country Lace Designer Series Paper and this panel was also adhered to a Basic Beige mat. This smaller panel was adhered to the front of the smaller card base.

Onto a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the stool, bucket and flower cluster in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. The images were colored in with Pool Party, Smoky Slate, Misty Moonlight and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends then die cut using coordinating dies from the Country Flowers Dies set. I also die cut several small flowers from Petal Pink cardstock and small leaves from Pool Party cardstock. These pieces were arranged onto the front of the small card base and adhered with liquid glue or Stampin’ Dimensionals. The back of the small card base was then adhered to the inside of the larger card base to form the Joy Fold.

The “sending love” sentiment was stamped onto a small scrap of Basic Beige cardstock and the sentiment was cut out using the smallest rectangular die from the Unbounded Love Dies. The sentiment was adhered with liquid glue to the front of the small flap on the large card base. This sentiment is hidden when the Joy Fold is fully closed.

On the inside panel I stamped an additional sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink, then partially stamped the flower cluster image in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. The flowers and leaves were colored in with Pool Party, Petal Pink and Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blends. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the small card base.

The same flowers were partially stamped onto the envelope front in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored in with Stampin’ Blends. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I used a pair of paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap. Three Petal Pink Foiled Gems were added to the center of the die cut flowers on the card front to finish up the project.

The Country Flowers Bundle and the Country Woods and Country Lace Designer Series Papers make for some lovely cards suitable for friendship, birthday or thinking of you cards. If you would like to recreate this card you can download, save and print the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below.

Again, thanks so much for stopping by my blog. Let’s get back to the Hop! You can click on the “Next” button to go to Nel’s blog, or click on any name in the list below to go directly to that person’s blog. Enjoy the Hop!
