Inky Bee Stampers

I received my Online Exclusives pre-order and I’m excited to be sharing a card with you that was created using the upcoming Changing Leaves Bundle! This bundle includes a stamp set, dies and a hybrid embossing folder. The texture created by the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder is incredible! The new, upcoming Online Exclusives products will be available to customers on July 3. You won’t find Online Exclusives in any catalog – they can only be found in the Online Store. Let’s take a look at the card!

I started by using the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder to emboss a white panel measuring 5-1/4″ x 4″. This embossed panel was then adhered to a Wild Wheat cardstock mat, then adhered to the front of a Pretty Peacock card base. Pretty Peacock and Wild Wheat are really pretty together!

The main, large focal leaves on the card front were created by using the large three-leaf die from the Changing Leaves Dies. This die was placed in the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder. This die was placed with the cutting blades face up on the logo side of the embossing folder and the large die sits nicely over the three-leaf image on the inside of the embossing folder. I placed a 6″ x 6″ piece of white cardstock over the die and carefully closed the embossing folder and ran the folder through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the hinge of the embossing folder going through the machine first. Using the large leaf die in the hybrid embossing folder produces die cut and embossed leaves with amazing texture! I used a Blending Brush to blend Wild Wheat ink over the largest die cut leaf. Using separate Blending Brushes I blended Pretty Peacock and Cherry Cobbler ink over the remaining two leaves.

I also used the smaller leaf dies and the round sentiment label from the Changing Leaves Dies to cut some additional pieces for my card. The “Thank you” sentiment was stamped in Pretty Peacock ink onto the white sentiment label. The three embossed and inked leaves were arranged on the card front first then adhered into place using liquid glue. The remaining leaf die cuts were then adhered around the larger leaf grouping. The sentiment label was adhered at the base of the grouping using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside of the card I stamped an additional sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink. The large leaf image was stamped onto the lower right corner of the panel in Wild Wheat and one of the smaller leaves was stamped on the opposite corner in Pretty Peacock ink. This smaller leaf has open space for the veins. I used a Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blend to color in these leaves for a different look. The panel was adhered to a Wild Wheat mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

I repeated staming of the leaf images onto the envelope front and envelope flap. I used a Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blend to color a length of Linen Thread and tied a small bow. The bow was adhered just above the upper left of the sentiment label using a Mini Glue Dot. Multiple Pretty Peacock Sequins were added to the card front to finish up the project.

I can state with complete confidence that I will be using the Changing Leaves Bundle often! The images are just beautiful, and again…the texture! Keep an eye out on July 3 for this new Online Exclusives bundle in the Online Store, along with other new products!
