Stampin’ Up! Nested Friends Embossed Thank You Card

Today’s card was created using the Nested Friends Stamp Set, Nested Friends Dies and the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder. This sweet bird is perched on a tree branch above her nest watching over her eggs! I started off by using a Blending Brush to lightly blend Boho Blue ink onto the upper center half of a white panel measuring 5-1/4″ x 4″. I then used the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the panel. The panel was then adhered to a Granny Apple Green mat, then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the Nested Friends Stamp Set, I stamped the bird image and the branch image in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto a scrap piece of cardstock. Stampin’ Blends were used to color in the bird and branch image. I used the coordinating Nested Friends Dies to cut out the images. I also used the dies to cut out the nest pieces, and leaves. The pieces were then arranged and then adhered onto the top portion of the card front using liquid glue. The bird was adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a large double Linen Thread bow to the bottom of the card front. The sentiment was stamped in Boho Blue onto white cardstock. I used the Something Fancy Dies to cut out the sentiment and a Granny Apple Green mat, then this was adhered to the lower portion of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Two leaf units were reserved for the sentiment label and these were placed onto the label using liquid glue.

On the inside panel, I kept it simple by stamping the branch in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto the bottom of the panel. The image was then colored in with Stampin’ Blends. The panel was adhered to a Granny Apple Green mat and adhered to the inside of the card.

The nest image from the Nested Friends Stamp Set was partially stamped onto the envelope front and I used Stampin’ Blends to color in the image. The dots image was stamped in Granny Apple Green ink across the envelope flap. To finish up the card I added several Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the sentiment label and card front.
