Stampin’ Up! Sneak Peek – Flowers of Beauty Easel Fun Fold Celebration Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It is Thursday once again and time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. If you’re stopping over from Terry Lynn’s Blog or you are starting with my blog…welcome and thanks for stopping by! I know you will see lots of inspiration in the Hop today so be sure to use the links below to check it out!

My card for today was created using products from the Unbounded Beauty Suite Collection which will be available for customer purchase on May 1!

We have a Flower theme challenge for today’s Hop…one of my favorite themes!

I started off with a card base in Peach Pie cardstock measuring 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2. This was then scored at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4″. The score lines on the card base were both folded as mountain folds and burnished with a bone folder. A Peach Pie floral print from the Unbounded Beauty 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper was selected and this panel was adhered to a Berry Burst mat. Liquid glue was applied to just the bottom half of the panel, then adhered to the bottom section of the card base. Applying glue to just the bottom sections of the panel and card base allow the front of the card to lift up to form the easel.

Next, I prepared the sentiment labels – one for the outside of the card and one for the inside of the card that will act as the “stop” for the easel portion of the card. I selected a scalloped oval for the outside sentiment and die cut this from white cardstock using the Unbounded Love Dies. The “Celebrate” sentiment from the Unbounded Love Stamp Set was stamped onto this label in Berry Burst ink. The inside label was die cut using the same dies but this one is a slender rectangle with an additional sentiment stamped from the Unbounded Love Stamp Set.

Using the Flowers of Beauty Dies I die cut multiple large and small flowers from Berry Burst, Peach Pie and Pretty in Pink cardstock scraps. The flowers were assembled to form a total of eight flower units. Two cut out leaves were die cut from Shy Shamrock cardstock. Six of the flower units were glued around the edges of the oval sentiment label. Before adhering this sentiment label to the card front I used a Berry Burst Stampin Blend to color a length of Silver & White Sheer Ribbon. This ribbon was folded in half then adhered to the card front using a small amount of Stampin’ Seal. The oval sentiment label was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The two die cut leaves were tucked under the right side of the label using liquid glue.

A Berry Burst mat was adhered to the inside of the card base and I adhered the inside sentiment label using Stampin’ Dimensionals. This raised sentiment label acts as the “stop” for the easel portion of the card. Two flower units were added to either side of this sentiment label.

The two-step leaf stamps from the Flowers of Beauty Stamp Set were stamped onto the inside panel in Shy Shamrock ink. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card base.

Using the dark shade of a Berry Burst Stampin’ Blend I colored eight small Rhinestone Basic Jewels and one medium sized Rhinestones. The small Rhinestone Jewels were placed in the centers of each of the flowers and the medium sized Rhinestone Jewel was placed onto the upper right of the oval sentiment on the card front. The same two-step leaf images were stamped onto the envelope front and a coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I used a pair of paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap.

The Flowers of Beauty Bundle provides pretty flower images and the Unbounded Love Bundle is dedicated to some amazing sentiments and sentiment labels (this is a must see!). The Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper is gorgeous! I hope you enjoyed my card project for the Hop today and thank you so much for stopping by!
