Stampin’ Up! Sneak Peek of a Country Birdhouse Birthday Card for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop

It is time once again for another Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop! If you’re stopping by from Amy’s blog or your starting here at my blog…welcome and thanks for stopping by! I know we’re going to see some great projects in the Hop today so be sure to use the navigation buttons and links below to hop around! Enjoy!

Our theme this month for the Hop is “for the ladies/girls” and we can interpret that any way that we’d like. I created a pretty birthday card in white, Pretty In Pink, and Flirty Flamingo along with an assist from some Misty Moonlight and Shy Shamrock. The Pretty in Pink and Shy Shamrock are new 2024-2026 In Colors. Aren’t they pretty? This card is a sneak peek of products from the Country Woods Suite Collection that will be available to customers beginning on May 1.

I started off with two paper panels. A wood grain pattern from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper pack measuring 5-1/4″ x 4″ and a Misty Moonlight floral pattern from the Country Lace Designer Series Paper pack measuring 5-1/4″ x 1-1/2″. The smaller panel was adhered to the bottom of the wood grain panel. I then adhered a 1/8″ strip of Shy Shamrock cardstock just above the floral panel to add a pop of color. This panel unit was then adhered to a Shy Shamrock mat, then adhered to the card front using liquid glue.

Using the Country Birdhouse dies I cut out some small single flowers from Pretty In Pink and Flirty Flamingo cardstock. I used Stampin’ Blends to color in the centers of the flowers. I also die cut a number of leaves from Shy Shamrock cardstock. I cut a birdhouse from Basic White cardstock and used the wood grain stamp from the Country Birdhouse Stamp Set and stamped this several times across the birdhouse in Smoky Slate ink. I used a sponge dauber to antique the birdhouse edges and face. Scalloped trim was added to the top of the birdhouse in Misty Moonlight and the roof of the birdhouse is in white. The birdhouse was adhered to the cardfront using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then arranged the flowers and leaves across the birdhouse in a diagonal pattern. I cut a birdhouse base out using the Country Birdhouse Dies and this serves as the sentiment label. The sentiment was stamped in Misty Moonlight ink and I again used a Sponge Dauber to antique the label. The sentiment label was adhered to the bottom of the birdhouse using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside panel, I stamped an additional sentiment in Misty Moonlight. The spotted stamp was used towards the bottom of the panel and was stamped in Smoky Slate. The bird image was also stamped in Smoky Slate and I used Stampin’ Blends to color in the image. Several flowers were stamped onto the panel in Pretty in Pink ink. The panel was adhered to a Shy Shamrock mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

I repeated stamping of the small flower onto the envelope front and a coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap with the excess paper trimmed away using a pair of paper snips. I used a length of White 1/4″ Diagonal Trim and tied a bow and added the bow to the top of the birdhouse using Mini Glue Dots. Several Smoky Slate Pearls were added to some of the flower centers on the card front to complete the card.

I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek of new upcoming products from the Country Woods Suite Collection! I know I enjoyed creating this card for you!
