Stampin’ Up! Magical Meadow No-line Coloring Holiday Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It is time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! We are in the home stretch and quickly approaching the end of the year…where did the time go? I’m excited to see all of the projects in today’s Hop. Be sure to use the links below to check them out!

I used the no-line coloring technique along with images from the Magical Meadow Stamp Set and the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper to create today’s card.

And we have a sketch challenge for the Hop today…

I started off by doing some second and third generation stamping of the two berry images from the Magical Meadow Stamp Set in Smoky Slate ink onto a panel of Smoky Slate paper from the Winter Meadow 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper pack. A sentiment from the Horse & Sleigh Stamp Set was stamped onto the lower left of the panel. The light shades of Smoky Slate provide a soft, dreamy background for the colored images to come! The stamped designer series paper panel was then adhered to the front of a Blueberry Bushel card base.

I used the same Smoky Slate designer series paper pattern to cut two rectangles measuring 3″ x 2-1/2″ each. I first second-generation stamped the large berry and greenery image in Smoky Slate onto both panels, then I third generation stamped the pine and berry image in Smoky Slate. The pine and berry image was also partially stamped at the upper right corners of the rectangles.

Using a Blender Pen, I colored in all of the greenery with Garden Green ink. The small berries were colored with Blueberry Bushel ink. The large berries were colored with Moody Mauve ink and the tops of the large berries were colored with Pebbled Path ink. Once the ink was dry on the colored images, I used the same inks to darken areas of the berries and greenery. I love the no-line coloring technique! Look how the colors pop! The colored panels were adhered to Blueberry Bushel mats, then adhered to the card front at an angle. The panel on the left was adhered with liquid glue and the panel on the right was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The same greenery and berry images were second and third generation stamped onto the inside panel using Smoky Slate ink. An additional sentiment from the Horse & Sleigh Stamp Set was first generation stamped in Smoky Slate ink. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

The second and third generation stamping of these images were repeated on the envelope front. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I used my paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap. I tied a small knot bow from White Iridescent Ribbon and added this to the upper right of the card front. Three Iridescent Rhinestones were added to the right of the sentiment to finish up the card.

Again, thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I hope you enjoyed the card I shared with you today! If you would like to give the no-line coloring technique a try you can download, save and print the pdf tutorial for this card by clicking on the image below.
