Stampin’ Up! Darling Details Thank You Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday again (time really flies by!) and that means that it is time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I’m looking forward to seeing the projects in the Hop this week…I know the projects will be inspirational as always! Welcome and thanks for stopping by!

My card today was created using the Darling Details Bundle and the Glorious Gingham 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper.

We have a sketch challenge for today’s Hop and here it is…

I started off by adhering a Basic White panel to the front of a Lemon Lime Twist card base. I chose a piece of the Glorious Gingham Designer Series Paper in Berry Burst and used the smaller frame die from the Dearling Details Dies to cut out the frame. Using the Darling Details Stamp Set I stamped several of the large flower and one of the small flowers in Berry Burst. I then used a blending brush to blend Bubble Bath ink onto the flowers to shade them. I also stamped and die cut one of the three-leaf images in Lemon Lime Twist. I also die cut several of the flower sprigs in Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.

The sentiment label was created from a 4-1/4″ x 1″ strip of Basic White cardstock and I scored the strip on each end at 3/4″ and 1″. The sentiment was stamped in Berry Burst ink and I third generation stamped a partial flower on the top and bottom of the sentiment label. I used a Blending Brush to lightly blend Bubble Bath ink onto the center of the label and I blended the ink much darker on the banner ends of the label. The sentiment label was folded on the score lines and I applied a small amount of glue to the areas between the scorelines.

The flowers were arranged towards the bottom of the Berry Burst gingham frame. The two large flowers were glued to the card front and the smaller center flower was adhered to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greenery pieces were tucked under the large flowers. The sentiment label was adhered towards the bottom of the flower grouping using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside panel I stamped a flower and leaf in one corner and the smaller half flower in the lower corner. I again blended Bubble Bath ink onto the flowers to give them a little color. The “Thank you” sentiment was stamped in Berry Burst ink and then the panel was adhered to the inside of the card.

The envelope front was decorated with the same flower image and I adhered a coordinating piece of designer series paper to the envelope flap and trimmed the excess paper away from the flap. To finish off the card I added a few Tinsel Gems in Berry Burst to the card front. A double bow in Sweet Sorbet Metallic Woven Ribbon was added towards the center of the flower grouping.

The Darling Details Bundle is such a cheerful set. It makes me smile! I hope you enjoyed my card and thanks so much for stopping by! You can download, save and print a pdf tutorial for this card by clicking on the image below.
