Stampin’ Up! Layers of Beauty All Occasion Card

I used the Layers of Beauty Bundle, Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder and some Pretty in Pink Bordered Ribbon to create this pretty all occasion card. The Layers of Beauty Bundle includes a stamp set, dies and decorative masks. The fun thing about this bundle is that the dies will cut out the entire, large rose and leaf image plus some other images, or you can just die cut the center rose and its leaves! That’s what I’ve done here for today’s card!

Rather than stamp the large rose image first, I chose to use Blending Brushes and the Layers of Beauty Decorative Masks to create these roses. On a piece of grid paper, I marked the position of my cardstock and then positioned the first mask over my cardstock so that the image of the center rose was centered over the cardstock. The mask position was then marked onto the grid paper to assist in lining up the remaining masks. The Layers of Beauty Decorative Masks are numbered (you will see the numbers next to the V notch). I used a Blending Brush to blend Pretty in Pink for Mask #1 and #2, then I switched to Flirty Flamingo for Mask #3. A separate Blending Brush was used to blend Granny Apple Green ink for Mask #4 and #5 for the leaves. I repeated the ink blending process on a separate piece of cardstock to create a second rose image. The coordinating die from the Layers of Beauty Dies was used to cut out these images. While I had the dies out, I also cut a total of eight leaf images from Granny Apple Green cardstock.

A Basic White panel measuring 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″ was embossed using the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. I length of Pretty in Pink Bordered Ribbon was wrapped vertically around this panel and the ends of the ribbon were secured to the back of the panel using Stampin’ Seal. This panel was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The die cut roses and leaves were then arranged onto the card front over the wrapped ribbon. The roses were adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The leaves were tucked in around the roses and adhered with liquid glue. I added a sentiment label just below the bottom rose.

For the inside panel, the rose and leaf image was partially ink blended onto the upper right corner of a white panel using the Layers of Beauty Decorative Masks. Without reinking my Blending Brush, I lightly blended Granny Apple Green ink around the rose and leaf image. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

I created another rose image on the envelope front using the Layers of Beauty Decorative Masks and Blending Brushes. A piece of 2024-2026 In Color 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper in a stripe print was adhered to the envelope flap and I used a pair of paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap. I used the dark shade of a Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend to to color in three Rhinestone Basic Jewels and the Rhinestones were adhered to the card front around the flowers and leaves to complete the project.

I prefer creating these pretty roses without first stamping the rose image form the Layers of Beauty Stamp Set. I think it provides a softer look but either method is beautiful! 1. Thanks so much, Faith! It is a really lovely set! I was going to do the roses in yellows, which would be beautiful, but I ended up going with Pretty in Pink and Flirty Flamingo. Our pink Bonica Roses are blooming so I guess I had pink on the brain! 🙂
