Happy Monday! Today’s card was created using the Under the Moon Stamp Set. The sentiment is from the Flower Cart Stamp Set. This card comes together quickly with some simple stamping!
I started off with a white panel measuring 5-1/4″ x 4″ to create the ocean scene. The stamps in the Under the Moon Stamp Set are Distinctive stamps so that when stamped, they create variations in color and detail. I first stamped the water image towards the bottom of the panel in Summer Splash ink. The sunset was then stamped by first inking up the stamp in Daffodil Delight ink, then using a Sponge Dauber to apply Pumpkin Pie ink to just the bottom portion of the stamp. When stamping, the bottom of this image was lined up with the top of the previously stamped water image.
The leaping dolphins were stamped in Pebbled Path ink just in front of the sunset and clouds were randomly stamped across the sky on the upper portion of the panel. I borrowed a sentiment from the Flower Cart Stamp Set and stamped the sentiment in Summer Splash ink onto a scrap piece of white cardstock and used the second from smallest square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut out the sentiment. A white Baker’s Twine bow was added towards the top of the panel and the sentiment label was adhered over top of the bow using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The panel was then adhered to a Summer Splash mat, then adhered to the front of a Pretty Peacock card base. Side note…you might not think of Pretty Peacock as a beach-type color, but the blue green of this color is actually really pretty against the Summer Splash and works perfectly for a beach scene!
On the inside panel, I partially stamped the water image, then stamped the leaping dolphins. No sentiment was stamped on the inside panel. A sentiment can easily be stamped later according to need. The panel was adhered to a Summer Splash mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.
To finish up this easy card, I stamped the water image and dolphin image again onto the envelope front. Wink of Stella was brushed over the stamped water on the card front, on the inside of the card and envelope front to give it a bit of a shimmer. A single In Color Resin Dot was added to the sentiment label to finish up the card.
