It is Thursday and time once again for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! If you are stopping by from Terry Lynn’s blog or you are starting with my blog…welcome and thanks for being here! I know we’re going to see some great inspiration today in the Hop so be sure to use the links provided below to check out all of the blogs.
We have a Color Challenge for today’s Hop. I have a W Fold Father’s Day card to share with you today! This card was created using the Adventurous Sky Bundle and the Take to the Sky 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. These products are now available in the online store!

Here is the Color Challenge for today’s Hop. I used all five colors from the challenge on my card.

I started off with a card base in Night of Navy measuring 11″ x 4-1/4″ and scored this at 5-1/2″. I also cut the W Strip for the inside of the card in Boho Blue. This strip measures 11″ x 1-1/2″ and was scored at 2-3/4″, 5-1/2″ and 8-1/4″ I selected two different prints for the large panels on the card. The multi-plane print panel was adhered to the card front and the cloud print panel was adhered to the left section on the inside of the card base. I added a white stamped cardstock panel to the right section of the inside of the card. I then attached the W Strip to the inside of the card. The W Fold is perfect for creating a display card!

After attaching the W Strip to the inside of the card, I then focused on creating the four small panels that will sit on the strip. I used the same cloud patterned designer series paper for three of the panels and adhered these small panels to Night of Navy mats, then adhered them to the W Strip. The fourth panel on the inside of the card serves as the inside sentiment. I stamped the sentiment onto the panel in Copper Clay ink, matted the panel to Night of Navy, then adhered this to the W Strip. The three cloud panels were decorated with die cut clouds and a small plane!

Focusing my attention to the card front, I cut a tag from the Take to the Sky Designer Series Paper. I used a small hole punch to punch out the top of the tag then looped a length of Linen Thread through the hole. The tag was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Adventurous Sky Dies were used to cut out a plane from Boho Blue and Mossy Meadow cardstock and a propeller in Cooper Clay was added to the front of the plane. The plane was adhered to the card front using a combination of liquid glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment was added to the card front and sits across the tag and slightly overlaps the plane.

The envelope front was stamped with the rivet image from the Adventurous Sky Stamp Set and I adhered a coordinating piece of designer series paper to the envelope flap to finish up the card. I hope you enjoyed my card for today! This was such a fun card to create and the W fold provides a lot of real estate to show off the designer series paper and die cut images!

Thank you so much for stopping by! If you would like to recreate this card you can download, save and print the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below. Enjoy!
