Inky Bee Stampers

I used the gorgeous Meandering Meadows 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper to create this pretty Mother’s Day card. The sentiment and die cut flowers are from the Stippled Roses Stamp Set and Stippled Roses Dies. The front of the card is double matted to really set off the beautiful scene!

I started by adhering a white mat to a Highland Heather mat then adhered a panel of the Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper to the white mat. The “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment was stamped onto a scrap of white cardstock and I used the oval scalloped die from the Unbounded Love Dies (new item as of May 1) to cut out the sentiment. The sentiment was then adhered to the lower left of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The grass and flowers decorating the card front are meant to mimic the grass and flowers on the designer series paper. Multiple small flowers were die cut from Bubble Bath and Highland Heather cardstock using the Stippled Roses Dies. I used a pair of paper snips to cut thin blades of grass from Granny Apple Green cardstock. The grass and flowers were then arranged around the sentiment label and glued into place. An Iridescent Pearl decorates the flower centers. A small White Diagonal Trim bow was adhered to the left side of the sentiment label.

I kept the inside of the card very simple. A 1″ strip of matching designer series paper was adhered to the right side of the panel and the panel was then adhered to a Highland Heather mat.

A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap, and I used a pair of paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap to complete the card.
