It is Thursday and time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! If you’re hopping over from Terry Lynn’s blog or you are starting from my blog…welcome! I know we are going to see lots of inspiration today so be sure to use the links provided below to participate in the Hop!
I created my card today using the lovely Inked & Tiled Stamp Set and Inked Botanicals 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. I love the simple and beautiful images in this stamp set!

We have a sketch challenge for the Hop today…

My card today is one of those “pretty doesn’t need to be complicated” cards! I selected a Lost Lagoon print from the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper pack for the background of the card front and this panel was adhered to the front of a Pool Party card base. Two more prints were selected from the pack, one in Calypso Coral and one in Pool Party. The Calypso Coral panel was adhered to the card front on top of the first panel. I used the tall floral image from the Inked & Tiled Stamp Set and stamped this image on the Pool Party print panel in Lost Lagoon ink. The smaller flower and stem image was stamped on either side of the tall flower. The panel was then adhered to the card front at an angle using Stampin’ Dimensionals so that some of the Calypso Coral print underneath showed through.

I applied a strip of Stampin’ Seal across the lower third of the card front and adhered a length of Lost Lagoon Bordered Ribbon (also retiring soon!) in a zig zag pattern. The sentiment was stamped onto a strip of white cardstock measuring 3-7/8″ x 1/2″ then matted to a piece of Pretty Peacock. The sentiment label was adhered across the bottom of the card, and over top of the ribbon, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I partially stamped the large leaf image in Lost Lagoon ink onto the upper right and lower left corners of the inside panel. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same large leaf image was partially stamped onto the envelope front in Lost Lagoon ink. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered ot the envelope flap and I used a pair of paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap. Lastly, I added three Calypso Coral Iridescent Pastel Gems to the card front. These gems are also retiring soon!

I love creating cards with lots of different components, but I equally enjoy creating easy and simple cards and the Inked & Tiled Stamp Set and Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper fill that bill! If you would like to recreate this card you can download, save and print the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below.
