It is Thursday and time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! If you are hopping over from Terry Lynn’s blog or you are arriving here first…welcome! I know we are going to see lots of inspiration today so be sure to hop around and check out all of the blogs! Let’s get started!
I created this pretty encouragement card using the Encircled in Nature Bundle, Forever Love 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Deckled Circles Dies.

We have a sketch challenge for today’s hop. As you can see, I opted to turn my card to the portrait orientation.

To begin, I chose a Very Vanilla and Pretty Peacock print from the Forever Love Specialty Designer Series Paper and cut a panel measuring 5-1/4″ x 4″. I used the 6th from smallest Deckled Circle Die to cut a window from the center of this panel. I placed a Very Vanilla panel measuring 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″ under the designer series paper panel and stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink in the window opening. I used the 6th from smallest and the 7th from smallest Deckled Circle Dies to cut a frame for the window opening from Pretty Peacock cardstock. This frame was then adhered to the designer series paper panel.

I stamped the two-flower image from the Encircled In Nature Stamp Set onto a scrap piece of Very Vanilla cardstock then colored in the image using Lost Lagoon and Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends. I used the coordinating die from the Encircled in Nature Dies set to cut out the image. I also die cut two pine boughs from Pretty Peacock and two flower sprigs from Very Vanilla cardstock. These cardstock images were then arranged on the left side of the window opening on the designer series paper panel and adhered into place. The two-flower image was adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The designer series paper panel was adhered to the Very Vanilla panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals, then adhered to a Pretty Peacock mat. This unit was then adhered to the front of a Lost Lagoon card base using liquid glue. The flowers and greenery perfectly frame this window opening.!
On the inside panel I adhered a 1/4″ strip of the designer series paper to a 3/4″ piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock, then adhered this to the right side of a Very Vanilla panel. The panel was then adhered to a Pretty Peacock mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same two-flower image was stamped onto the envelope front and colored in with Lost Lagoon and Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I used a pair of paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap. To finish up the card, I adhered three Pretty Peacock Adhesive-Backed Sequins to the card front.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today…I hope you enjoyed my card! I love a pretty window card and the Encircled in Nature Bundle is well suited for the job! If you would like to recreate this card you can download, save and print the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below.
