It’s Thursday again (time really flies by!) and that means that it is time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! I’m looking forward to seeing the projects in the Hop this week…I know the projects will be inspirational as always! If you are hopping over from Terry Lynn’s blog…welcome and thanks for stopping by!
My card today was created using the Countryside Inn 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and the Paper Florist Dies. I needed a sympathy card to send to a very dear friend and so I went immediately to the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper as blue is supposed to be a calming color.

We have a sketch challenge for today’s Hop, and here it is…

Three different prints were chosen from the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper pack and cut for the card front and adhered with liquid glue. The panels were cut at 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″, 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″, and 4″ x 2-3/4″. The sentiment was stamped onto the right side of a label in Boho Blue measuring 3-3/8″ x 1″ and matted with Basic White. The sentiment label was adhered onto the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using the Paper Florist Dies I die cut components for flowers in Balmy Blue, Boho Blue and Misty Moonlight. The flowers were assembled, and the smallest of the flowers was adhered to the left side of the sentiment label with the other two flowers adhered directly to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Two leaf sprigs die cut from the Cheerful Daisies Dies set were tucked under the flowers.

The inside panel was decorated with a strip of Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper and adhered to the inside of the card.

I stamped the large single flower from the Lasting Joy Stamp Set onto the envelope front in Night of Navy ink and stamped the center of the flower in Boho Blue ink. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was added to the envelope flap, and I trimmed the excess paper away to finish off the envelope. Lastly, a large Balmy Blue Iridescent Pastel Gem was added to the centers of each of the flowers.

This card fits nicely into an A2 envelope but will require a protective sheet over the top of the card before placing in the envelope and additional postage. You can grab a detailed pdf tutorial for this card by clicking on the image below.
