It’s time for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop! The theme this month is “Celebrate Summer” and we can interpret this any way that we’d like. I know you will see a lot of fun creations from my team members in the Hop today! Let’s go!
I used the Beauty of the Deep Bundle and the Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper to create my card for today. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Summer than by taking a trip to the ocean!

I started off with a muted panel of the Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper in Pretty Peacock and Daffodil Delight. This panel is perfect for an underwater scene and the splashes of yellow look like sunlight filtering in through the water. I used the seaweed stamp from the Beauty of the Deep Stamp Set and stamped this image in Soft Sea Foam ink across the bottom of the panel – varying the height of the seaweed. The sand stamp was used to stamp this image in Copper Clay along the bottom of the panel. The panel was then adhered to a Daffodil Delight mat and adhered to the front of a Pretty Peacock card base.
I used the Beauty of the Deep Dies to cut out a large and several small coral images from Pretty Peacock and Daffodil Delight cardstock. The anchor image from the same set was stamped onto a scrap piece of crumb cake using Copper Clay ink then cut out with the coordinating die from the Beauty of the Deep Dies set. The images were arranged across the bottom of the designer series paper panel and adhered down with liquid glue. A piece of Natural Wavy Trim was added across the panel and adhered with several mini glue dots. I stamped the sentiment from the Everlasting Beauty Stamp Set in Night of Navy ink onto a scrap of Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper and matted the label to a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock. The label was adhered over top of the Wavy Trim using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside panel I used Blending Brushes to blend Pretty Peacock and Daffodil Delight ink over the entire panel to mimic the card front. The same image was used to stamp seaweed across the bottom of the panel in Soft Sea Foam ink and sand was stamped along the bottom edge using Copper Clay ink. A single fish was stamped in Lost Lagoon ink onto the panel. The panel was then adhered to a Daffodil Delight mat and then adhered to the inside of the card.

Without reinking the blending brushes, I lightly blended ink onto the lower corner of the envelope front and repeated stamping of the seaweed, sand and fish. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap. The excess paper was trimmed away from the flap to finish off the envelope. Lastly, multiple Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels were added to the card front.

What’s your favorite way to celebrate summer? How ever you celebrate the warm sunshine…make it a great one!
