Inky Bee Stampers

Before I get started with today’s card, I wanted to let you know that this will be my last blog post as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. I will be enjoying some time with my family over the holidays then it is on to new things in 2025 and beyond! I want to thank my customers and those who have followed my blog for your support over the last three years! It has meant the world to me, and I am grateful for all of you! I have thoroughly enjoyed providing you with card and project tutorials! Special thanks to my wonderful team members and friends who I have made along the way who have been nothing but amazing and supportive! I have a really fun card for you today using the Friendly Seagulls Stamp Set. This is one of those stamp sets that makes you smile! This stamp set is a Sale-A-Bration item that you can earn for free during Sale-A-Bration beginning on January 7 and it is an adorable stamp set! I started off with a panel of the Full of Life Designer Series Paper. This paper looks like the sky and ocean, so it was perfect for this card. I stamped the seagull image from the Friendly Seagulls Stamp Set several times across the blue section of the paper using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. The panel was then adhered to a white mat, then adhered to the front of the card.

The largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies was cut from white cardstock. I used a piece of Post It Tape to mask off the bottom third of the circle then used a Blending Brush to blend Coastal Cabana ink across the bottom. The image of the fish was stamped in the blended ink several times in Coastal Cabana ink. I cut a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock to a 1/2″ wide strip then I used the dark shade of a Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend to darken the strip of cardstock. The strip was adhered to the circle vertically so that the top of the strip sat slightly above the “water line” on the circle. I used a pair of paper snips to trim the end of the strip flush with the bottom of the circle. This will be the piling that the Seagull will sit on. On a scrap piece of white cardstock, I stamped the image of the Seagull in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, and I used Smoky Slate and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends to color in the image. I then used a pair of paper snips to fussy cut the image. The Seagull was then adhered to the top of the piling. The circle was then adhered to the lower third of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The “Hey, Friend” sentiment was stamped in Coastal Cabana onto a strip of white cardstock then I cut a banner end on the right side of the label. The sentiment was adhered across the lower right of the circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside panel, I stamped the “I love you MORE than” and the French Fires” sentiment in Coastal Cabana ink. Without reinking my Blending Brush, I blended in some sky around the sentiment in Coastal Cabana ink. I then stamped two sets of flying seagulls in Tuxedo Black Memento ink around the sentiment. I stamped the image of the seagull with the french fries onto the lower left corner of the panel and used Lemon Lolly and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends to color in the image. I used the light shade of a Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend to color in the ground beneath the seagull. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

On the envelope front I blended some more Coastal Cabana ink, then stamped the fish image several times in Coastal Cabana. A coordinating piece of the designer series paper was adhered to the envelope front. I added three small Rhinestones to the card front to finish up the project.
