Inky Bee Stampers

For today’s card I have used the Yuletide Village Stamp Set and the Spotlight on Nature Dies. The sentiments are from the Shepherd’s Care Stamp Set. These sentiments pair perfectly with the church image from the Yuletide Village Stamp Set.

I started off stamping the “Peace on Earth” sentiment in Night of Navy ink onto the bottom of a Balmy Blue panel. I then stamped the snow image from the Yuletide Village Stamp Set all over the panel using Balmy Blue ink. The panel was then adhered to the card front. The church image from the Yuletide Village Stamp Set was stamped onto a piece of white cardstock in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. A variety of Stampin’ Blends were used to color in the image, and I used a Blending Brush to blend in some sky using Balmy Blue ink.

I used the leaf detail circle from the Spotlight on Nature Dies to cut out the church image and a larger circle was die cut from Night of Navy cardstock using the same Die set. The white stamped and colored circle was adhered to the larger Night of Navy Circle then this was adhered to the top of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped an additional sentiment from the Shepherd’s Care Stamp Set onto the inside panel in Night of Navy ink. The church image from the Yuletide Village Stamp Set was stamped onto the lower corner of the panel in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I then colored in the image using Stampin’ Blends. Snow was stamped around the church in Balmy Blue ink. The panel was adhered to a Balmy Blue mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

I repeated stamping and coloring of the church onto the envelope front and the snow image was stamped across the edge of the envelope flap. A small bow tied from Silver & White Sheer Ribbon was adhered to the top of the circle unit on the card front using a Mini Glue Dot.

No designer series paper…no problem! Create your own background with stamps and a little ink. In the case of this card, I used tone-on-tone color to create a snowy background!
