Inky Bee Stampers

Today’s card features the Among the Swallows Stamp Set. This stamp set is a new Online Exclusive that will be available for customer orders on November 5. The Among the Swallows stamp is a single, large stamp that is perfect for coloring with Stampin’ Blends, watercolor pencils, or for water coloring!

I started off by stamping the Among the Swallows image onto a piece of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I then used Stampin’ Blends in Bubble Bath, Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, and Bronze and Ivory to color in the images. The colored panel was then adhered to a Blackberry Bliss mat.

A length of Blackberry Bliss Textured Ribbon was wrapped vertically down the left side of the panel. The top end of the ribbon was adhered to the back of the panel using Stampin’ Seal. I then applied Stampin’ Seal on the back side of the ribbon and adhered this to the panel front. I left the bottom end of the ribbon unattached and trimmed that down later, after the sentiment label was adhered to the card front. The panel was then adhered to the card front using liquid glue. The “Happy Birthday” sentiment from the Sweetly Scripted Stamp Set was stamped onto the sentiment label in Blackberry Bliss ink. The label was matted to a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock then adhered across the bottom of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside panel, I second-generation stamped the Among the Swallows image using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. The additional sentiment from the Unbounded Love Stamp Set was stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink. The panel was then adhered to a Blackberry Bliss mat then adhered to the inside of the card.

A piece of the Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper in an Old Olive print was adhered the envelope flap and I used a pair of Paper Snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap. Three clear Drusy Adhesive-Backed Embellishments were adhered to the card front to finish up the project.

The Among the Swallows Stamp Set is perfect for creating not only birthday cards, but would also be suitable for creating sympathy cards, friendship cards or thinking of you cards.
