It is time once again for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! If you are stopping over from Terry Lynn’s blog or you are starting off with my blog…welcome and thanks for stopping by! Be sure to use the links towards the bottom of this post to hop around to see all of the creations in the Hop today!
I created this card using products from the Season of Elegance Suite Collection. Specifically, I used the Peaceful Evergreen Bundle, Peaceful Season Stamp Set, Painted Trees 3D Embossing Folder and the lovely Season of Elegance 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper.

For today’s Hop we have a Sketch Challenge. I thoroughly enjoyed creating a card for this challenge!

I started off with a Basic Beige cardstock panel measuring 5-1/4″ x 4″ and I embossed the panel using the Painted Trees 3D Embossing Folder. The texture this folder provides is amazing! The panel was then adhered to the front of a Mossy Meadow card base. To create the center panel unit, I started with a Mossy Meadow rectangle measuring 4-1/2″ x 2-1/2″. I tore approximately 1/4″ from the top and bottom of this panel to give it a distressed look. I then used a Sponge Dauber to darken the torn edges with Mossy Meadow ink. I adhered a 3-3/4″ x 2-1/2″ piece of Mossy Meadow and gold designer series paper to the first panel, then I added a 3-1/4″ x 2-1/2″ piece of a Basic Beige print from the designer series paper on top. The panel unit was then adhered to the center of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the Peaceful Evergreen Bundle to first stamp the small and medium sized trees onto a piece of Old Olive cardstock using Old Olive ink. I then used the Peaceful Evergreen Dies to cut out the stamped tree images and I cut two detailed trees from Old Olive cardstock. I used a Sponge Dauber to darken the edges of the detailed trees using Mossy Meadow ink. The detailed trees were then adhered to the stamped tree images, then the trees were adhered to the front of the center panel. The larger of the two trees was adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I used the Peaceful Season Stamp Set to stamp a generic greeting on the inside panel in Mossy Meadow ink. The multi-tree image from the Peaceful Evergreen Stamp Set was stamped onto the bottom of the panel in Old Olive ink. I then adhered the panel to the inside of the card. While the Peaceful Season Stamp Set contains mostly holiday type sentiments, I chose the more generic sentiment for this card.

The same multi-tree image was stamped onto the bottom of the envelope front in Old Olive ink, and I adhered a coordinating piece of designer series paper to the envelope flap and used my paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap. To finish up the card I adhered three Gold Textured Dots to the card front.

I really enjoyed working with the products in the Season of Elegance Suite and I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek! Products from the Season of Elegance Suite Collection will be available for purchase beginning on September 4…so just a few short days away. Again, thanks so much for stopping by!
