Here is another Christmas in July card for you! I wanted to try my hand at using Decorative Masks and Embossing Paste to create a Christmas card and here is the result. I used the Frosted Forest Stamp Set, Frosted Forest Decorative Masks and the Greetings of the Season Bundle to create this pretty frosted card.
Side Note: This card has exceptional shimmer, but it was very difficult to capture in the photos…just know that it is there, and it is spectacular!
I started off with a panel in Lost Lagoon and I used Mask A and B from the Frosted Forest Decorative Masks to ink the three main focus trees across the panel in Pretty Peacock ink. (Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon are two of my favorite colors and they make an awesome holiday card!) I then used just Mask A to ink two more trees very lightly in Pretty Peacock ink to make them look like they are sitting off in the distance. I also made sure to vary the height of the masked trees!

I then used Mask C to apply the Shimmery White Embossing Paste over the three main focus trees (left, center and right). Mask C was cleaned after each application of Embossing Paste before moving onto the next tree. I used the small end of my Stylus to dot some of the Shimmery White Embossing Paste over the entire panel to mimic falling snow and I used my Palette Knife to apply some of the Embossing Paste across the bottom of the panel. The panel was then adhered to a white mat, then adhered to the front of a Pretty Peacock card base. The “Merry Christmas” sentiment label comes from the Greetings of the Season Bundle. I added a short length of Iridescent Striped Trim through the punched hole in the sentiment label and tied it off with a short length of White Baker’s Twine. The sentiment label was adhered to the center of the card front at an angle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The small pine tree image from the Frosted Forest Stamp Set was used to stamp multiple trees onto the lower corner of the inside panel in Pretty Peacock ink. I then stamped an additional sentiment from the Greetings of the Season Stamp Set – also in Pretty Peacock ink. I then used a Blending Brush to lightly blend Pretty Peacock ink over the trees then the panel was adhered to the inside of the card.

I repeated stamping of the small pine tree image from the Frosted Forest Stamp Set onto the envelope front and envelope flap and used a Blending Brush to lightly blend Pretty Peacock ink around the trees. To finish up the card I adhered multiple Pretty Peacock Blooming Pearls to the card front.

You can find the Frosted Forest Bundle (which includes the stamp set, dies and decorative masks) in the Online Exclusives section of the Online Store. This was such a fun card to create, and I am loving the results of the Shimmery White Embossing Paste. Complete instructions along with some helpful hints on using this Embossing Paste are included in the pdf tutorial. To access the tutorial, click on the image below.
