Stampin’ Up! Flowers of Beauty Z Fold Card Using Designer Series Paper for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to Thursday and another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! If you are hopping over from Terry Lynn’s blog or you are starting off with my blog…welcome and thanks for stopping by! We have a fun challenge today and I think you will be inspired by all of the wonderful projects created for the Hop. Be sure to use the links below to check them all out!

I created my card using the Flowers of Beauty Bundle, Unbounded Love Bundle and the lovely Unbounded Beauty 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper.

Our challenge for today’s hop is a Color Challenge. I used 4 of the colors for the challenge – Pretty in Pink, Peach Pie, Shy Shamrock, and Petunia Pop.

This fun fold card uses a piece of the Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper which measures 11-3/4″ x 5-1/4″. The paper was scored along the long edge at 1-3/4″, 4-3/4″ and 7-3/4″ and folded valley/mountain/valley. The fun thing about this fun fold is that it can either be an Accordion Fold or a Z Fold. I created a Z Fold card simply by adhering down the 1-3/4″ section on the front of the card. If you left this section unglued…you would have an Accordion Fold. Cool! Once the designer series paper was cut, scored and folded, I adhered the Z Fold to a 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″ Peach Pie mat. This was then adhered to a 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ Petunia Pop card base.

I used the Flowers of Beauty Stamp Set to stamp several flowers for the card front in Petunia Pop ink and then used the coordinating Flowers of Beauty Dies to cut out the images. I also die cut several leaf sprigs from Shy Shamrock and Pretty in Pink cardstock using the Flowers of Beauty Dies. The Deckled Rectangles Dies were used to cut out two white panels – one for the inside of the card and one for the outside of the card. The outside rectangle was stamped with small flowers in Pretty in Pink from the Flowers of Beauty Stamp Set before being adhered to the card front.

The die cut leaf sprigs were arranged onto the rectangle on the card front and adhered with liquid glue. The stamped and die cut flowers were adhered towards the bottom of the rectangle using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A length of White Diagonal Trim was colored using a Petunia Pop Stampin’ Blend. The trim was folded in half and adhered to the upper left corner of the rectangle using Mini Glue Dots. The sentiment label was die cut using the Unbounded Love Dies and I cut the small sentiment from both Petunia Pop and white cardstock as this die cuts both a frame and insert at the same time. The “friend” sentiment from the Unbounded Love Stamp Set was stamped onto the white insert in Petunia Pop ink, then Stampin’ Dimensionals were used on the back side to hold the frame and insert of the sentiment label together. The sentiment label was then adhered over top of the folded trim.

On the remaining Deckled Rectangle, I stamped an additional sentiment from the Unbounded Love Stamp Set in Petunia Pop ink. I then stamped the two-leaf image from the Flowers of Beauty Stamp Set onto the lower corner. The rectangle was then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same two-leaf image from the Flowers of Beauty Stamp Set was stamped onto the envelope front in Shy Shamrock ink. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap. To finish up the card I adhered three Petunia Pop 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems to the card front.

By the way, this card is just as lovely on the back side thanks to the pretty Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper!

The products from the Unbounded Beauty Suite Collection are among my favorites and the Unbounded Beauty 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper really shows off the new In Colors, too! I hope you enjoyed this fun fold card today and that you’ll give it a try.
