I used the beautiful Spotlight on Nature Bundle along with the Brights 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper to create today’s card. The sentiment came from the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set and the sentiment labels were created using the Stylish Shapes Dies.
I started off by adhering a Flirty Flamingo print from the Brights Designer Series Paper to the front of a Granny Apple Green card base. On a piece of white cardstock measuring 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ I second generation stamped the large floral image from the Spotlight on Nature Stamp Set in Smoky Slate ink. When coloring this image I didn’t want any lines showing and second-generation stamped Smoky Slate helps to achieve this! I first colored in the flower petals using a Pretty in Pink Stampin’ Blend, then I used a Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blend to darken the shadows on the petals. I followed up with a Flirty Flamingo Watercolor Pencil to darken the shadows even more. The leaves and stems of the flowers were colored in using a Granny Apple Green Watercolor Pencil. The image was then die cut using the dashed circle die from the Spotlight on Nature Dies set. The circle was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I borrowed the “hello” sentiment from the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set and stamped this onto a piece of white cardstock in Granny Apple Green ink. I used the short, wide banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut out the sentiment. I also die cut the long, narrow banner from Granny Apple Green cardstock using the same die set. The sentiment was then adhered to the Granny Apple Green banner. Before adhering the sentiment label to the card front, I looped a piece of Silver & White Sheer Ribbon just below the die cut circle, then I adhered the sentiment label to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On the inside panel, I partially stamped the large leaf image several times onto the lower left corner in Granny Apple Green ink. I used a Granny Apple Green Watercolor Pencil to color in the leaves. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.
The same large leaf image was partially stamped onto the envelope front several times then I used a Granny Apple Green watercolor pencil to color in the leaves. I adhered a coordinating piece of designer series paper to the envelope flap and trimmed the excess paper away from the flap using a pair of paper snips. I added three Flirty Flamingo Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots to the die cut circle on the card front to finish up the project.
The Pretty in Pink, Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green on this card are so dreamy together and provide a soft look to this card!
