Stampin’ Up! Darling Details Easter Card

It’s not necessary to use a dedicated Easter themed stamp set and dies to create a pretty Easter card. I used the Darling Details Bundle to create today’s card and borrowed the Easter sentiment from the Excellent Eggs Stamp Set! I’m very partial to the beautiful eyelet frame from the Darling Details Dies and thought it would be perfect to frame some pretty flowers. The Darling Details Bundle can be found in the May 2023-April 2024 Annual Catalog. Many items from this catalog will be retiring soon and the Darling Details Bundle may be among the retiring items, or the stamp set or dies may carry over to the new catalog but as separate items (no longer bundled). Why not grab the bundle at a 10% savings while you can!

I started off by die cutting the eyelet frame using the Darling Details Dies from white cardstock. The frame was then adhered to another white panel, then adhered to the card front. I stamped several flowers in Flirty Flamingo ink using the two step stamps from the Darling Details Stamp Set. I also stamped some additional leaf sets in Lemon Lime Twist ink. All of the stamped images were die cut using the coordinating dies from the Darling Details Dies. I also die cut an open leaf image from Granny Apple Green cardstock.

Before arranging the flowers and leaves onto the card front, I stamped the “Happy Easter” sentiment from the Excellent Eggs Stamp Set onto a Lemon Lime Twist sentiment label, then adhered this to a Granny Apple Green mat. The sentiment label was then adhered to the upper right of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The flowers and leaves were then arranged on the lower left of the card front. All of the leaves and the half flower were adhered using liquid glue and the large flower and one set of leaves were adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The large flower outline was stamped onto the inside panel in Flirty Flamingo ink and the leaf sprig image was stamped on either side of the flower in Granny Apple Green ink. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

To finish up the card, I added a Lemon Lime Twist bow just above the left corner of the sentiment label. Multiple Flirty Flamingo Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots were added to the card front as well. The large flower outline image from the Darling Details Stamp Set was stamped onto the envelope front in Flirty Flamingo ink with the leaf image stamped on either side of the flower in Granny Apple Green ink. A single leaf image was stamped onto the envelope flap.
