Happy Friday! I hope you have some fun plans for the weekend! Today’s card was created using the Inspirational Sketches Stamp Set along with the Nature’s Sweetness 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper. This card came together quickly and involves some simple stamping and a little bit of coloring.
I started off with a Pebbled Path panel measuring 5-1/4″ x 4″ and I used the flower image from the Inspirational Sketches Stamp Set to stamp across the entire panel in Pebbled Path ink. I love creating background panels using this tone-on-tone technique. This panel was adhered to a Very Vanilla mat then adhered to the front of a Pebbled Path card base. Next, I matted a piece of the Nature’s Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper to a Very Vanilla mat, then adhered this to the left side of the card front.
On a Very Vanilla panel measuring 3-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ I stamped the mushroom image from the Inspirational Sketches Stamp Set in Pebbled Path ink. I used Stampin’ Blends in Petal Pink and Sweet Sorbet to color in the image. I used a Color Lifter Stampin’ Blend to dot spots on the mushroom tops. The panel was then adhered to a Pebbled Path mat. I used the brush tip end of a Pebbled Path Stampin’ Blend and flicked dots across the stamped panel. Gray Baker’s Twine was wrapped around the bottom of the panel two times and I tied a bow. The panel was then adhered to the center of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I opted not to include a sentiment on the card front.
On the inside panel, I stamped a sentiment from the Thoughtful Expressions Stamp Set in Pebbled Path ink. I partially stamped the mushroom image from the Inspirational Sketches Stamp Set on the bottom corner of the panel and colored in the image with Stampin’ Blends. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.
On the envelope front, I stamped the flower image from the Inspirational Sketches Stamp Set in Pebbled Path ink. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I used paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap. Three metallic birds from the Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds embellishment pack were added to the card front to complete the project.
