This fun beach scene birthday card was created using the Beach Day Stamp Set, Beach Day Dies, cardstock and ink! I had a blast creating this card!
I started off with a panel of Basic White cardstock measuring 5-1/4″ x 4″. I used a Blending Brush to lightly blend a Daffodil Delight circle onto the upper left corner of the landscape panel. I then used a separate Blending Brush to lightly blend Balmy Blue ink across the rest of the panel. I made sure to leave some white space to indicate clouds! A single seagull was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto the center top of the panel. The panel was then adhered to a Pool Party mat.
The waves and sand dune were cut using the dies in the Beach Day Dies set from strips of Basic White and Crumb Cake cardstock. The strips were cut to the width of the ink blended panel. To give the waves a bit more color, I cut a strip of Coastal Cabana cardstock and adhered it to the back of the wave die cut. The wave die cut was then adhered to the dune die cut, then this unit was adhered to the bottom of the ink blended panel using liquid glue.

The surfboard, umbrella and chair were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto a piece of white cardstock and I used Stampin’ Blends in Parakeet Party, Pool Party, and Blueberry Bushel Stampin’ Blends then cut out using the coordinating dies. While die cutting I also cut out two of the grass images and the palm leaves from Shaded Spruce cardstock, the small circle from Daffodil Delight cardstock and the palm tree trunk from Crumb Cake cardstock. These pieces were then adhered to the ink blended panel. The panel was then adhered to the front of a Coastal Cabana card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On the inside panel, I stamped the “happy birthday” sentiment in Parakeet Party ink and two seagulls were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on either side of the sentiment. The umbrella image was stamped in Memento ink onto the lower right of the panel and the sand and shell image was stamped in Crumb Cake ink around the base of the umbrella. In comes the Blending Brushes…I blended Balmy Blue ink onto the top two thirds of the panel and Crumb Cake ink was blended around the base of the umbrella. The panel was adhered to a Pool Party mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

I repeated stamping of the umbrella, seagull and sand and shell images onto the envelope front and used Stampin’ Blends to color in the images. Without reinking my Blending Brushes, I blended Balmy Blue ink around the umbrella and seagull and Crumb Cake around the base of the umbrella. Several blue Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins were added to the card front to finish the card.

There are lots more stamps and dies that I did not use from the Beach Day Bundle so I will be making more cards using this set! If you would like to recreate this card you can download, save and print the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below.
