It is Thursday and time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! If you are hopping over from Terry Lynn’s blog or you are arriving here first…welcome! I know we are going to see lots of inspiration today so be sure to hop around and check out all of the blogs! Let’s get started!
I created this fun book fold Easter card using the Excellent Eggs Bundle, Easter Bunny Stamp Set and the Lighter Than Air 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper.

We have a Color Challenge for the Hop and I was able to incorporate five of the six colors into my card today.

I have entered this card is the Global Design Project #435 (#GDP435). You can visit the Global Design Project page here or click on the image below. The theme is Easter…so perfect for my card today!

From the Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper pack I chose several prints to use on my card. I matted panels of a Bubble Bath arrow print to Lemon Lolly mats and these panels were adhered to the front of a Pool Party card base. I then opened the card base and adhered the 1-1/4″ section together to form the binding of the card.

Using the Excellent Eggs Dies, I used the largest egg die to cut an egg from Basic White cardstock. I also cut out two large eggs each from a Balmy Blue trellis patterned paper and a Fresh Freesia print. I then used the scalloped die and the zig zag die to cut top and bottom pieces from these eggs. These pieces were then adhered to the larger white egg. The Happy Easter sentiment was then stamped across the center of the egg in Balmy Blue ink. The egg was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside panel I used images from the Easter Bunny Stamp Set to stamp an additional sentiment, butterfly and small Easter eggs. I used Stampin’ Blends in Fresh Freesia, Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath, Pool Party and Balmy Blue to color in the images. The panel was adhered to a Lemon Lolly mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same images of the butterfly and small eggs were stamped onto the envelope front and colored in with Stampin’ Blends. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I used paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap. A large Lemon Lolly Sheer Ribbon bow was adhered to the card front and I added multiple Lemon Lolly Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots to finish up the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I hope you enjoyed my project for the Hop! If you would like to recreate this card you can download, save and print the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below. Have a great day!
