Stampin’ Up! Excellent Eggs Easter Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It is Thursday once again and time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! If you are joining the hop from my page or you hopped over from Terry Lynn’s blog…welcome…I’m happy you are here! I have included links below so you can hop around and see all of the great inspiration today!

I created this quick and easy Easter card using the Excellent Eggs Bundle and the Lighter Than Air 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. The soft pastels in the Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper pack make for some excellent spring or Easter-themed cards!

We have a sketch challenge for today’s Hop…

I chose three different patterns of paper from the Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper. A panel measuring 5-1/4″ x 4″ of the Lemon Lolly and white strip print was adhered to the card front, followed by a 5-1/4″ x 2″ diamond print. The last piece of designer series paper – a blue trellis print – measuring 2-3/4″ x 7/8″ was adhered to the back of the sentiment label. The sentiment label was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the decorative egg image and the bunny image onto a scrap piece of white cardstock. The egg was stamped in Azure Afternoon ink and I then used Stampin’ Blends in Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lolly, Fresh Freesia and Balmy Blue to color in the image. Crumb Cake and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends were used to color in the bunny. The coordinating dies from the Excellent Eggs Dies set were used to cut out the images. The egg and bunny were then adhered to the card front.

An additional sentiment was stamped onto the inside panel and I repeated stamping and coloring of the bunny image. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same bunny image was stamped onto the envelope front and colored in using Crumb Cake and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. I tied a double bow from Flirty Flamingo Baker’s Twine and adhered the bow to the upper left of the sentiment label on the card front. Several blue Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots were adhered to the card front to finish up!

This card could not have been any easier to pull together and I love how bright and cheerful it is! I hope you enjoyed seeing it as well! If you would like to recreate this card you can download, save and print the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below.

I want to thank you for stopping by my blog to have a look! It’s time to get back to the Hop! You can click on the “Next” button below to go to Nel’s blog, or click on any name below to jump directly to that person’s blog. Enjoy and have a great day!

  7. It has seemed like spring here for several days, then last couple nights it probably froze my tulips and daffodils! It will come though.

    1. Same in our neck of the woods but it is now cold again. My daffodils are up about 2″ but they are pretty tough so I’m sure they will be fine! Come on spring!
