This colorful card was created using the Softly Sophisticated Bundle which includes the Softly Sophisticated Stamp Set and the Softly Sophisticated 3D Embossing Folder. I also used the Thoughtful Expressions Dies (these are a must have) and the Inked Botanicals 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper.
I started off with a print in Calypso Coral from the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper and embossed this panel using the Softly Sophisticated 3D Embossing folder. Embossing designer series paper adds so much texture! This panel was adhered to the front of a Crushed Curry card base. I then used the Thoughtful Expressions Dies to die cut the large decorative circle from Basic White cardstock, a white sentiment label, leaves from Old Olive cardstock and small flowers from Crushed Curry cardstock.
The dainty flower image was stamped onto the large decorative circle using Old Olive and Crushed Curry inks. These are two-step stamps and they line up very easily. I then adhered the large decorative circle to the top two-thirds of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped onto the sentiment label and the label was also adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then adhered the leaves and flowers to the circle using liquid glue.
On the inside panel I repeated stamping of the leaf and flower image and the panel was adhered to a Calypso Coral mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.
The same leaf and flower images were then stamped onto the lower left corner of the envelope front. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I used a pair of paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap. We’re not done yet, though! I used the dark shade of a Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blend to color in five Rhinestone Basic Jewels and these were added to the flower centers on the card front. I used sponge daubers to blend Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral inks onto a small butterfly from the Paper Butterfly Accents pack and this was adhered to the upper left of the decorative circle on the card front. The colored Rhinestones and butterfly add the perfect touches to this sweet card!
