Today’s card uses the beautiful Detailed Dogwood Stamp Set from the Sale-A-Bration brochure! Sale-A-Bration ends in just a few days, but you can earn this stamp set for free with a qualifying order of $100. This card is somewhat of a CAS (create and share) from the Sale-A-Bration brochure with a few changes. Let’s take a look!
I started with a Basic White cardstock panel measuring 5″ x 3-3/4″ and I tore approximately a 1/4″ from the edges of the panel on all sides. I then second generation stamped the large dogwood image in Pecan Pie ink. I then used Stampin’ Blends to color in the image. Several other images from the stamp set were first and second-generation stamped onto the panel using either Petal Pink or Pecan Pie inks. I then used a Blending Brush to blend Pecan Pie ink around the edges to darken them.

On a Pecan Pie mat, I second-generation stamped the smaller twig and bud image around the perimeter of the mat, then used a Blending Brush to darken the edges with Pecan Pie ink. The panel was then adhered to the card front at an angle. The white stamped panel was adhered on top of the mat using Stampin’ Dimensionals and the panel was centered from top to bottom and left to right.
On the inside panel, I second generation stamped the smaller twig and bud image in Pecan Pie ink and used Stampin’ Blends to color in the image. I then second-generation stamped the single dogwood bloom image in Petal Pink ink on either side of the previously stamped image. Lastly, without reinking my Blending Brush, I darkened the edges of the panel with Pecan Pie ink. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

On the envelope front I second generation stamped the small twig and bud image in Pecan Pie ink then stamped the single dogwood bloom on either side in Petal Pink ink. I second generation stamped the single dogwood image across the envelope flap also. A small Petal Pink bow was added to the card front, just at the base of the twig. Three pink Opaque Faceted Gems were added to the card front.

I love the shabby chic look that the torn and distressed edges give this card, and I had lots of fun creating this card for you! If you would like to recreate this card you can download, save and print the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below. Enjoy!
