Inky Bee Stampers

My February Paper Pumpkin Kit arrived and I couldn’t wait to put it together! The February kit creates Easter or Spring cards and contains these adorable images of bunnies and chicks…perfect for Spring! The Sweet Springtime Kit contained everything I needed to make a total of six cards – 3 each of two different designs, and 3 treat containers.

Here is one of the treat containers. I only assembled one for now and have the other two safely tucked away to use as Easter gets closer. The treat container measures 2-1/2″ wide and 2-1/2″ deep and is 4-1/2″ tall so it is a nice size! The front is decorated with a cute bunny and chick.

Here is one of the card styles showing two bunnies grazing through green grass and daffodils. The pretty sentiment banner and daffodils are popped up on the card and this card is a standard A2 size card.

The envelopes contain a pretty gingham print on the inside of the envelopes! I chose to stamp an additional greeting on the insides of the cards and I also stamped a bunny and used my Stampin’ Up! watercolor pencils to color in the image. So sweet!

The bunny was also stamped and colored onto the envelope front…

The second card style is a slimline card which measures 6-1/4″ x 3-1/4″. The front of the card features three little chicks surrounded by a pretty floral wreath and banner sentiment. I stamped the chick on the envelope fronts for these cards also.

I added an additional sentiment on the insides of these cards and stamped the chick on the insides of the cards. The chicks were colored using Stampin’ Up! watercolor pencils. The insides of the envelopes are decorated with a plaid print.

These cards and the treat container took me less than an hour to assemble and the kit included the card bases, envelopes, an ink spot, adhesives, card cutouts, sentiment labels, twine and embellishments plus a bonus stamp set! Paper Pumpkin kits are such a great option if you are new to crafting, or a busy crafter with little time to spare! These kits are also great to take along if you’re travelling and don’t want to miss any crafting time!

A while ago I asked what kind of techniques you’d like me to share more information on, and one of the responses I received was how to use Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils!

In this free class, I will show you how I use these pencils to really make my stamped images pop, how to use the pencils in different ways to apply color, along with other tips and tricks.

Here are the details on this Technique Class, including instructions on how to sign up:

• Enjoy this free Technique Class from the comfort of your own home via a Zoom video call. This allows you to be in your own workspace without the need to travel in case you’d like to create along with me! The Zoom platform will also allow you to ask questions in real time!
• To sign up for this free Technique Class, email me at inkybeestampers@gmail.com no later than Monday, February 26, 2024. You must sign up with me by the deadline in order to participate and you must provide a valid email address.
• The Zoom Call In information will be emailed to all who sign up by Tuesday, February 27. It is recommended that you join the call from a computer, laptop, or tablet for the best viewing experience.
• The class is expected to last approximately one hour but could run a little longer.
• If you would like to craft along with me or create this project at a later time, I will be using the Enduring Beauty Stamp Set for the stamped image example (see more information below if you’d like to order any of the supplies I will be using for this class)
• Once the class is completed, all participants will receive a document containing the tips and tricks I share in the class along with a card project tutorial.
