Stampin’ Up! Filled With Love Birthday Card – Sneak Peek!

Who had a red wagon when they were a child? I did! What I didn’t haul around in that wagon! What fun! Today’s card is a sneak peek of the Filled with Love Bundle which will be available on March 5 as an Online Exclusive in the online store. I also used the Hooray for Surprises Stamp Set and the Basic Border Dies on this card as well.

Since this is a birthday card, which, by the way, would be great for young and old alike, I stamped the image of the gifts, cake and flag onto a scrap piece of white cardstock. I used a variety of Stampin’ Blends to color in the image then cut out the image using the coordinating dies from the Filled with Love Dies set. I also die cut the wagon, wheels, wheel centers, wagon handle and three balloons using this same die set.

Using the puffy cloud looking die from the Basic Borders Dies, I created a mask from a scrap piece of cardstock. Setting the mask in place onto a 5-1/4″ x 4″ white panel I used a Blending Brush to blend Balmy Blue ink over the top of the mask…creating clourds. The mask was moved down the panel and I repeated several rows of blending until I had most of the panel covered. I die cut a “hill” for the card front using the arched shape die from the Basic Borders Dies in Shaded Spruce. The “hill” was adhered to the ink blended panel, then adhered to a Poppy Parade mat, then this was adhered to the card front.

The sentiment for the card front was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto a white label. I used a pair of paper snips to cut a banner end on the right side of the label then matted the label to a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock. The label was then adhered to the top right of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Short pieces of white Baker’s Twine were attached to the back of the three balloons, then the balloons were adhered to the top left of the card front with the center balloon adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The ends of the strings were attached just under where the wagon would sit. The wagon pieces were assembled and then the wagon was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the Hooray for Surprises Stamp Set, I stamped the birthday sentiment onto the inside panel using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I used the banner and confetti images from the Filled with Love Stamp Set and stamped these on either side of the sentiment using Crushed Curry, Shaded Spruce and Poppy Parade inks. The panel was adhered to a Poppy Parade mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

I used the same banner and confetti images to decorate the envelope front and envelope flap. Several gold Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins were adhered to the card front to finish off the project.

I hope you enjoyed my project for today! I had an absolute blast playing with this new bundle! If you would like to recreate this card you can download, save and print the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below. Have a great day!
