Stampin’ Up! Birthday Card Using the Flower Cart Bundle

How adorable is this flower filled cart! I used the Flower Cart Stamp Set and Flower Cart Dies along with the Perennial Lavender 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper to create today’s card. The Everyday Details Dies were used to cut out the pretty detailed rectangle! I chose some bright colors for my card (can you tell I’m ready for some Spring weather?).

I started off by adhering a plaid print from the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper to a Blackberry Bliss mat, then adhered this panel to a card base in Berry Burst. The largest rectangle die from the Everyday Details Dies was used to cut out a rectangle from Parakeet Party cardstock (this large die will cut both a frame and a rectangle, but I only needed the rectangle). I used the pebbled path stamp from the Flower Cart Stamp Set and stamped this image three times along the bottom center of the rectangle. This “path” becomes the ground that the card will sit on.

Next, I used the two-step flower stamps from the Flower Cart Stamp Set to stamp the leaves and flowers onto scraps of white cardstock. I stamped two sets of flowers using Parakeet Party and Berry Burst inks, then I stamped two sets of flowers using Pretty Peacock and Blackberry Bliss inks. I also stamped four flowerpots in Gray Granite ink. The stamped images were die cut using the coordinating dies from the Flower Cart Dies set and each of the flowers were glued to the top of a flowerpot. The flower cart base was die cut from Pecan Pie cardstock and the pieces were assembled. The flower cart wheels and supports were cut from Basic Black cardstock and adhered to the cart base. Three of the flowerpots were adhered inside of the cart and the cart was adhered to the die cut rectangle using liquid glue. The rectangle was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The remaining flowerpot was adhered to the rectangle using Stampin’ Dimensionals and sits in front of the cart. While most of the flowerpots are hidden inside of the cart, the pots gave the flowers some height so I’m glad that I included them!

The sentiment was stamped onto a 3″ x 3/8″ Parakeet Party sentiment label in Blackberry Bliss ink, and I cut a banner end on the right side of the label. The sentiment was then adhered to the lower right of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside panel, I stamped an additional sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink, then stamped the flowers, leaves and flowerpot onto the bottom corner of the panel. The panel was adhered to a Blackberry Bliss mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same flowers, leaves and flowerpot were stamped onto the envelope front and a coordinating piece of designer series paper was added to the envelope flap. I tied a small bow from Parakeet Party Metallic Woven Ribbon and attached the bow to the center flowerpot on the card front using a Mini Glue Dot. I added three Brushed Brass Butterflies to the card front and one Brushed Brass Butterfly to the inside of the card. These butterfly embellishments are flat, so they work on the inside of the card too!

This completes this pretty birthday card! I hope you enjoyed my card for today. If you would like to recreate this card you can download, save and print the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below. Have a wonderful day!
