Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions Thinking of You Card

Happy Friday to all of my crafty friends! I hope you have something fun planned for the weekend! I will be working on putting all of the Christmas decorations away and tidying up. Today’s card was created using the Thoughtful Expressions Bundle and the Flight & Airy 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. The Thoughtful Expressions Bundle is a new item from the January-April 2024 Mini Catalog and you can earn the Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper for free during Sale-A-Bration with a qualifying purchase! Free is a good thing!

I cut a panel of the leaf print in Lost Lagoon from the Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper pack and adhered this to a white mat, then adhered this to the front of a Lost Lagoon card base. Using the Thoughtful Expressions Dies, I die cut the largest decorative rectangular label from Basic White cardstock. On scraps of white cardstock I stamped the two-flower image, the single flower image and the hummingbird using VersaMark ink. I then sprinkled Gold Embossing Powder over the stamped images and used my Heat Tool to set the embossing powder.

Before die cutting the embossed images, I used a Blender Pen to color the images using Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock, Sweet Sorbet and Daffodil Delight inks. I then used the coordinating dies from the Thoughtful Expressions Dies to cut out the images. The two flowers were adhered to the rectangular decorative label using liquid glue and I placed one flower to the left and one to the right of the label. The decorative label was then adhered to the center of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then adhered the hummingbird to the decorative label using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The hummingbird’s beak was positioned over one of the flower centers. A sentiment was not added to the card front as I did not want to take away from the pretty embossed images.

On the inside panel, I stamped the “You’re in my thoughts today” sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink, then stamped the small leaf and flower image onto the lower corner of the panel. This image was colored in using a Blender Pen and Lost Lagoon and Sweet Sorbet inks. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same small leaf and flower image was stamped onto the envelope front and colored it in using a Blender Pen. A piece of coordinating designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I used my paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap. Several Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems were adhered to the card front to finish up the project.

If you would like to recreate this card you can download, save and print the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below. Have a wonderful day!
