Inky Bee Stampers

And this stamp set coordinates with the Modern Oval Punch which is currently available from the Sept-Dec 2023 Mini Catalog. This is a really cute stamp set!

I started off with a mat in Sweet Sorbet and stamped watermelon seeds down the left and right sides of the mat to create a background. I added a piece of designer series paper in a neutral check print from the Perennial Lavender 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (available on Jan 4 from the upcoming Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog) and centered this panel from right to left.

The whole watermelon was stamped in Garden Green ink, and I used the Modern Oval punch to punch out the image. I also stamped two watermelon slices with the rinds stamped in Garden Green and the watermelon stamped in Sweet Sorbet. The Modern Oval punch was also used to punch out the slices, then scissors were used to trim across the tops of the slices. These were arranged onto the DSP panel towards the bottom for reference. I then removed them and stamped the leaf image several times in Granny Apple Green ink directly onto the designer series paper panel. The whole watermelon and slices were then adhered to the panel using a combination of Stampin’ Dimensionals and liquid glue.

I chose sentiments from the Let’s Go Shopping Stamp Set. The “You are such a sweet treat” was stamped in Sweet Sorbet ink onto a label measuring 2-3/8″ x 1/2″ and a banner end was cut on the right side. A loose bow was tied using Linen Thread and placed towards the top right of the panel, then the sentiment label was adhered to the panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The panel unit was then adhered to the front of a Thick White Cardstock base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

An additional sentiment was stamped onto the inside panel is Sweet Sorbet ink. The whole watermelon was stamped onto the lower left corner of the panel with a watermelon slice stamped to the right. The leaft image was stamped around the watermelon and slices using Granny Apple Green ink. The same leaf image was second-generation stamped over the sentiment on the panel as well. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

The watermelon slice was stamped onto the envelope front with several leaves stamped around the image. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap with the excess paper trimmed away from the flap. Several Brushed Brass Butterflies were adhered to the card front to finish off the project!
