Inky Bee Stampers

Happy Monday! Today’s gift card holder features the Festive & Fun Stamp Set and A Walk in the Forest 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. This cute gift card holder works up quidkly!

I chose two prints from the A Walk in the Forest Designer Series Paper – one in a pine print and one in a snow print. These were matted to Cherry Cobbler cardstock. The pine print was adhered to the card front and the snow print panel was adhered to the inside of the card base.

I used the 4th from the largest Deckled Rectangle to die cut two white panels. On one of the panels, I stamped the image of the Rhino pulling the sleigh in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I used Stampin’ Blends in Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Smoky Slate, Balmy Blue, Pecan Pie and Lemon Lolly to color in the image. The panel was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used a 2″ Circle Punch to punch out one white circle and one Cherry Cobbler circle. The sentiment was stamped onto the white circle using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. The Cherry Cobbler circle was adhered to the back of the sentiment label so that a small portion of the red shows towards the bottom left of the label. Before adhering the label to the card front, I wrapped a length of Garden Green ribbon around the top of the card front and tied a bow towards the center of the card. The sentiment label was then adhered using a combination of glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals and was positioned towards the upper right of the card.

I used the 2″ Circle Punch to punch out a semi-circle at the top of a piece of striped designer series paper. Adhesive was applied to the right, left and bottom edges of the paper, then slipped under the wrapped ribbon on the inside of the card base and adhered down.

On the second die cut rectangle, the “happy Christmas wishes” sentiment was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I also stamped the small bird image onto the lower right corner of the panel using Memento ink. The bird was colored in using Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler, Lemon Lolly and Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same small bird image was stamped onto the envelope front and colored in with Stampin’ Blends. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap using a pair of paper snips.
