I hope everyone enjoyed an enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday and that you got to spend time with family and friends! It’s Thursday again and time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s projects. I hope you will hop along!
My card for today was created using the Merriest Trees Bundle, scraps from the Traditions of St. Nicholas 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder. The Merriest Trees Bundle has been one of my absolute favorites and I’m so happy it is carrying over into the new catalog!

We have a theme challenge for today’s Hop which is Winter or Snow. Christmas occurs in the Winter and it is snowing aorund the Christmas tree…so I think I’m good!

I used the largest tree die from the Merriest Trees Dies to cut out the tree image from a panel of white cardstock. I tucked the die cut tree away to use for a future project. I’m using the negative of the die cut for this project. From the Brightest Glow Stamp Set, I stamped a sentiment in Real Red ink just below the cutout of the tree on this panel. I then embossed the panel using the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder.

A second white panel was placed under the cutout panel and I used a pencil to lightly trace the shape of the tree onto this panel then removed the cutout panel. I cut nine 1/2″ strips of paper from the Traditions of St. Nicholas Designer Series Paper pack and I strictly used the “B” side of the papers which showcase beautiful Damask patterns. Starting at the top of the traced tree outline, I glued the strips onto the panel making sure that the outline of the tree was completely covered. The cutout panel was then adhered to the panel with the paper strips, then this was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On the inside panel, I stamped an additional sentiment from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set in Real Red ink. Using Mossy Meadow ink, I stamped the detailed tree image from the Merriest Trees Stamp Set onto the lower corner of the panel, then stamped the tree a second time without reinking. The small bow from the Merriest Trees Stamp Set was stamped above the first tree stamped. The panel was adhered to a Mossy Meadow mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same tree images were first and second-generation stamped onto the envelope front in Mossy Meadow ink and the bow was stamped in Real Red just above the first tree. A piece of coordinating designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I used my paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap. A small bow was tied from gold trim and adhered to the top of the tree on the card front using a Mini Glue Dot. Multiple Festive Pearls in red, gold and silver were added to the tree to finish up the project!

I have been wanting to create this card for a while. I hope you enjoyed the process as much as I did! If you would like to recreate this card you can download, save and print the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below.
