Inky Bee Stampers

I created this fun trio of Christmas stockings hanging from the mantle using the Sending Cheer Bundle, the Christmas Classics Stamp Set and the Saint Nicholas Dies, along with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder and the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. This would make a great card for a child, and you can even personalize one of the stockings by adding the child’s name using a white gel pen!

A Very Vanilla panel was embossed using the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder. The panel was then adhered to the front of a Cherry Cobbler card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then die cut three stockings from Cherry Cobbler cardstock, and all of the stocking pieces from Distressed Gold Specialty Paper. The small holly leaves on each stocking were die cut from Shaded Spruce using the Saint Nicholas Dies. The stockings were assembled using liquid glue and the holly leaves were added to the tops of the stockings.

A fireplace mantle was created from a piece of Pecan Pie cardstock measuring 5-1/2″ x 1/2″. The strip of cardstock was embossed using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. I then placed the embossed strip in my paper trimmer and trimmed off two (2) 3/8″ sections. These 3/8″ wide sections become the mantle supports on the right and left of the mantle.

The stockings and mantle were arranged onto the card front and once I was happy with the placement of the stockings, they were adhered to the card front using Mini Glue Dots. Before adhering the mantle, I threaded a length of Linen Thread through each loop at the tops of the stockings. The thread ends were secured to the card front using Mini Glue Dots and were placed where they would be hidden by the mantle. The mantle was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The “Merry” and “Christmas” sentiments from the Christmas Classics Stamp Set were stamped onto the inside panel in Cherry Cobbler ink. The holly image from the Sending Cheer Stamp Set and the berries from the same set, were stamped onto the lower corner of the panel in Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler ink. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same holly and berry images were stamped onto the envelope front and envelope flap. I added a red Festive Pearl towards the base of the holly sprigs on the stockings to finish up the card.
